The Rules

Rules! We all love 'em ey? Haha, well here's my list of rules, not too hard to follow, pretty simple promise! Here are some simple rules that we must enforce to ensure the site's well being. We want all of out members to have a great time, and enjoy their stay here at Hogwarts Death Before Dishonor, so lets follow these rules to complete that goal. *takes a deep breath*

1. Please respect staff! & respect all members as well and their feelings.

2.Please post at least the very least a paragraph, that means at least 5 sentences please!!! At the very least if you wish to count your words by using the preview section when you post, make it at least 200 words. The word counter is located under the posting box so keep your eye on it make sure it hits mark. However it is unfair for someone to post a 700 word thread and you to only reply with 200. Please be fair and give one another enough to work with.

3. This site is rated PG 13! Please, if you are under that age come back when you are of age. Now with the rating I understand there are teenage topic that we would love to get into but there will be no sexy time on this site. Kissing, lightly tinted intimacy is accepted. But do not post anything about getting naked, or having hardcore sex. Either fade your thread to black, or just take it else where. The admins did not work hard to have Pro-boards delete our site, keep it clean guys.

4. You Must have at least a signature for your character, an icon and signature would be more liked but I understand icons are hard to find sometimes. All icons must be no smaller and no bigger than 175 by 250 and all signatures must be 500 by 300! You must have the actual picture the size of 175 by 250 for the icon because when the site likes to glitch i don't want to be seeing the massive original picture of your icon so please make sure it is properly sized before putting it up.

5. There is No character limit, but if things get too hectic that will change! Or if you are inactive with your characters you will receive a warning!


6. Please use an icon and your name/alias in the chatbox!

7. Ok seeing as we all love relations, here is the final rule. DO NOT force anyone to have a relationship with your character, it is their choice to have a relationship with you and DO NOT start conflict with a person if they do not want to be with your character. If this occurs you will get ONE and only ONE warning and if it occurs again, you will be dismissed from the site.

8. All threads must not exceed a 2 day period and must not exceed 4 pages. To be nominated for thread of the month threads must be at least 2 pages in length.

9.As a Canon you must post at least once a week. In general you should be posting at least once a week, but canons are a priority.

10.Third person. Past tense. Unless it's an application.

11.No god modding. No one should control anyone elses character unless you inform the member and they agree.

12.No Mary Sues or Gary Stews, no damsel in distress characters, no absolutely perfect characters. Everyone has some kind of flaw but nothing to write home about.

• There are no pregnant students!
  
• There are no student/professor relationship/hook ups unless approved by staff.

13.If you have concerns or comments do NOT put them in the chat box you can inform Albus' or Jason's accounts. We are the Staff and we will help you to the best of our ability.

14.Your face claim must be a real person. No cartoons or drawings. This is NOT an anime site. Also use an actor, singer or model or something along those lines. Do NOT use your real face claim.

• Also Please keep in mind ages of Playbys. For example a 13 year actor can't play a 16 to 18 year character as well as a 25 year old actor is to old looking play a student. There are so actors that you can find younger pictures of and that is okay to use. For exampe Alex Pettyfer can be passed as a younger student if you use his younger pictures. There are a lot of Actors and Actresses like this.

15.To keep a good ratio it's mandatory that every 2 females you have to make a male character and vice-versa.

16. If you are working on one application please do not start another until your first is finished or the admins will have to warn you about it. The WIP section doesn't need a bunch of half done applications and if you have ideas you can always reserve a face.

17.When it comes to advertising keep it out that chat box, that is what we have an advertisement board. There is to be no talk of other sites, ie PB, IF, twitter and tumblr included. This is what PM is for.

18. When it comes to the different schools we play them as they are in the movies, therefore Beauxbatons Academy of Magic is all girls. Then Durmstrang Institute is all boys.

1) Please when it comes to posting at least have your character have one line of dialog. It gives the person your posing with more to work with.

2) When you have your character talk please use a color to distinguish weather the character is talking. It makes it easier for others to understand what is talk from what is thought. Also thought should be italicized.
