Meleny has long brown hair, blue eyes and stands at 5'2. Meleny likes to dress in muggle clothes. She really misses wearing the Hogwarts uniform so she buys wardrobe in Gryffindor colors to compensate for no longer having to wear the robes. She dresses very differently from her twin sister Jezebel who likes black and gothic clothing. She does not wear anything black or gothic. Meleny always wears a necklace that her mother gave her for her 11th birthday. She is slender but has also gotten an athletic build from playing.

Meleny doesn't wear very much makeup except for muggle concealer products to hide the scars she's gotten from being on the receiving end of a curse from her father whenever he was angry at her. She also likes to wear girly clothes other than just regular jeans and t-shirts. She always likes to wear her hair down but if she has to go on a job interview or some other professional outing like that then she will wear a ponytail.

What make me unique;

Meleny is a very sweet and helpful person. She doesn't have a mean bone in her body and is always willing to help people if they ask for it. She's quite pleasant to be around once you get to know her. Meleny is an even tempered person but even she has bad moods sometimes. She rarely raises her voice at people and would rather calmly and logically solve a problem than rush right into a duel. Otherwise she is very calm and her usual friendly self. She can also be a bit overprotective. Another thing about Meleny is that she is fiercely loyal. Once she picks a side in something she stays loyal to that side forever. Betrayal and back stabbing is one thing she can't stand.

Meleny is emotional and sometimes isn't afraid to show she's scared, or in pain but when met with an enemy she'll try to decieve them and cover up her weaknesses which includes trying to hide the scar underneath her right eye which is the only one visible. The others are on her body elsewhere and can only be seen when she's either getting dressed or undressing. Usually she's in control of her emotions and knows when and when not to show them but when she's scared or under stress the chain binding her emotions snaps and she becomes a total wreck.

Meleny is considerate and helpful. She has always been thought of as a mother figure to the younger students. She protects them from danger. She's also intelligent. As an older Hogwarts student, she'd help the younger students with their homework in subjects they were having trouble in. She may not be brave but she's overprotective and a bit of a martyr. She values everyone else's lives over her own. She would risk her life if it came down to it. When lives are at stake she doesn't care about getting in trouble but when it isn't absolutely necessary she avoids getting in trouble as much as possible.

Being a twin to the most evil girl she's ever known has made her determined to assert her own independence and break away from her second identity as "Jezebel's twin sister". She hates when people automatically assume that they should stick together just because they're twins. She especially hates it when people compare them.

Living the teenage dream,

When Christina found out she was pregnant the doctor told her she was carrying twins. Along with Meleny inside the womb was a darker baby that would grow up to be the second person to make Meleny's life miserable. This was her twin sister Jezebel and she was the evil twin that you hear so much about in birth stories. Her father had named her and after Jezebel was born Meleny's life became a living hell. The last thing she needed in her life was someone else to degrade and put her down as if her father hadn't already done enough of that. The two of them were constantly at each other's throats and she enjoyed psychologically and physically abusing Meleny. When they attended Hogwarts her sister was sorted into Slytherin and that only esclated their sibling rivarly to a higher level. They competed against each other during Quidditch matches and she never missed a chance to call her a blood traitor.

When Meleny got her letter from Hogwarts on her 11th birthday. Her mother was ecstatic and took her to diagon alley to get her things but not until her father had a word with her about the right kind of wizard folk to mingle with. All her life she had been indoctrinated with pureblood superiority and to stay clear of muggle-borns and blood-traitors. Meleny ignored his lecture and left with her mother. As Meleny's hogwarts education progressed and Voldemort became more powerful, her father became suspicious when he found letters Meleny had been writing home to her mother discussing her life at Hogwarts. She had mentioned standing up for the underdog and intervening when a Slytherin called her friends the McKennas, a brother and sister from a muggle family, mudbloods and taking a course called muggle studies. It later dawned on her father that his own daughter was a blood traitor and in her fourth year during the triwizard tournament when the third task was going on he lured her away from the stands and took her into the forbidden forest where he beat her for selling out the purebloods and putting them to shame for being a muggle lover. That was where she got her first scar. She came out limping, bleeding all over and in pretty bad shape with a scar underneath her right eye. That was the second time she had to be nursed back to health by Madam Pomfrey. The first was the Quidditch incident in her third year.

Jezebel had heard about the letters when they returned home that summer and beat her very badly. Her father was still steaming so he helped and a few unforgivable curses were used on his part. Meleny returned for her fifth year with a black eye, bloodied, and a horrible pain in her ribs. She was sore for many weeks because she had been under the cruciatus curse too long. Madam Pomfrey nursed her back to health the minute she arrived at school so she didn't see the sorting ceremony that year.

Meleny thought she would start her sixth year at Hogwarts with no incident but instead her mother was murdered by her own father and they were having a dispute about the family house elf. House elves were often mistreated by their masters and her father and twin sister was no exception. Meleny longed to free him but she was afraid of getting caught by her father. However she tried one night when the house elf Klavier had been locked in the cellar for insulting her father without thinking. He didn't care that it was against the rules to insult his master. He did so anyway and was proud of that. Emery was furious about it and nearly killed the poor house elf. Meleny had gone down to the basement one day a few days before she was to return to Hogwarts. As she snuck through the house she had one of her socks clutched tightly in her hands. She and her mother were the only ones who treated the elf with respect. When she found him he was chained to the wall and near death. Before she could give him the sock her father and sister came to see what was going on. They knew Meleny would try to free the elf if they didn't watch her closely. Her mother came too to see what was happening and a duel started that ended her mother's life with the killing curse. Meleny did not escape unscatched. She begged the elf to take her sock so he could be free and she desperately wished she could apparate so someone could care for the dying elf. Eventually she settled for calling in a healer from st mungos and she sat with the elf for hours until they came reassuring him everything would be ok while crying for the loss of her mother. Her aunt that lived in London she hadn't seen lately heard about the death of her mother when it made the wizarding news and escorted Meleny to the Hogwarts Express on the day of departure.

In Meleny's seventh year of Hogwarts she rejoined Dumbledore's Army to resist Voldemort when he penetrated the castle walls. It was the scariest moment of her life. She knew some of the death eaters were teachers and getting caught frightened her. It was the only time in her life she hated the defense against the dark arts class (besides when Umbridge taught in her fifth year) or Muggle Studies because it was all about how purebloods were superior and the like. She had muggleborn friends in the school who were being hunted by the muggleborn registration committee. Everyday she feared for the life of her friends Cadence and Carlow McKenna who she had known since her first year. Carlow was the oldest and in Ravenclaw and Cadence was in her year but a Hufflepuff. The two of them spent that year in hiding.

When the war was over and Meleny had finally graduated she started looking for work. She was couldn't decide what she wanted to do with her life. She liked helping others and she had dreams of being either an auror or a healer. She didn't want someone else like Voldemort coming to power. Being an auror was the best way to protect the people but she also wanted to be a healer and help patch up the people who got hurt some way or another.

Finally Meleny decided to go through auror training when she was eighteen. When her training was complete she worked at the Ministry until the death of Harry Potter and then Meleny started getting nervous when she heard about aurors dissapearing and prisoners escaping azkaban. Meleny's maternal aunt was one of the aurors who dissapeared and she once again became her paranoid self that she was when Voldemort was in power. In the daily prophet on her last day working for the ministry she read that her father and twin sister were two of the criminals who had escaped from azkaban. Meleny was scared that if she continued working at the ministry she could be the next auror to dissapear so she asked her boss if she could resign. She hadn't wanted to but she felt it was safest for her even though what she really wanted was to find her aunt. Meleny had no idea if she was dead or alive at this point and she's started having nightmares of the worst possible scenarios happening. After resigning she decided to take a breather before she applied for a healer position at st mungos hospital. She still wanted to help people despite the chaos scaring her away from a job she really loved.
