I WANT TO BREAK ALL THE MADNESS but it's all i have Unfortunately due to the recent events Mathieu was stuck speaking his Saturday morning in the Potions class room. It was earlier in the week where he was so focused on a herbology assignment he simply was too distracted to attend his potions lesson. It was a long day, but the boy never really missed a class unless it was beyond his control. The nature of the Ravenclaw boy wouldn't allow it. Herbology was always fascinating to him, and he spent a great deal of time out at the green houses. Nature was just fascinating to him, and when the plants were magical it was more compelling. Hence his Saturday in the potions room. Potions was never his strong suit, Mathieu didn't enjoy it as much as his other classes. Astronomy was always his favorite which is why he took it as an elective. In his mind he knew all the classes were important to be a successful wizard, therefore he took this make up work serious.
The only issue he had was today he was suppose to spend time with Amelia. The two had planned to hand out earlier in the week, and to his embarrassment he told her yesterday, after dinner she'd have to come down to the potions room and wait for him to finish. The bloody assignment was to brew a love potion, not that he'd ever use one but, the thought of love potions was a little scary. Mathieu couldn't imagine being under an obsessive trance, saying things he normally wouldn't. The thought of an enemy suffering under one was a little humorous, but he didn't have a spiteful side enough to go through with revenge. Mathieu got picked on as many others in his house, Ravenclaws were too smart and people found that something to pick at. Dorky or nerdy to the rest of the population but it didn't matter, if it was a sin then he was a sinner. The quirky nature of the boy also brought negative attention, but he was smart to ignore it. His theories were accurate and he enjoyed sharing them amongst others. The potions mistress herself wasn't in the class room, her trust in him muse have been standard. Mathieu looked at the liquids in each beaker and measured by eye. Well there goes... he thought, mixing the two together.
BOOM! The potions components caused an explosion he was sure could be heard floors away. The smoke filled the room as he fanned himself blinking. This wasn't good. "Bloody potion.." He muttered walking over to a fanning device watching the smoke clear the room. At the door she stood watching him, and his cheeks tinted a pink color. How idiotic he must have looked blowing up the potion, and soot on his face. This was not the game plan for the day, but it was certainly turning to be a mess. Maybe Miss Amelia's presence would make everything better. The two were only friends, but he couldn't deny the crush he had on the girl for the last few years. Though he wouldn't admit to it, in fear of rejection, it was still there in the pit of his chest. "Amy, I have no clue what I did wrong, but zat explosion was pretty cool, za mess I've made looks just like kaleidoscope colors." Mathieu claimed pointing to the mixtures of liquid and glass on the table where he had been working. Best to clean the stuff up. Mathieu gathered the supplies tossing them in the waste can. After wiping up the spill he looked to Amelia and smiled. "How is your day going, hopefully better zen mine?" The dark eyed boy asked in his French accent grinning for her response. This certainty wasn't what he was planning for the day, but maybe when they were finished they could go out by the lake and explore or maybe even get a little wet, the spring brought the warmth of the sun to the water after all.

i can hardly recollect . who i was before we met ● ● ● It was maybe a little premature for a spring dress, but the sun that had finally broken through the seemingly impenetrable veil of grey clouds that covered the English sky had just put Amy is a spring-y kind of mood. She had pulled on a cute little dress, done a couple of twirls, grabbed her bag and headed off to the dungeons in a more or less chipper mood. Normally, she wouldn't have been keen to venture from the safety of her dorm to the darkness of the potions classroom, but she wasn't going there for herself. An unfortunate mishap with a potion had gotten Mathieu stuck doing extra work, and since the two were supposed to spend time together, she'd decided to bring herself to him.
Casually, she strode into the room, seeing bent over his table, clearly seething that he had to work on this damned thing. Even worse, was that sixth year potions classes were currently brewing love potions. Apparently Professor Castronova had gotten her months mixed up, seeing as the amorous month of February had just passed. Maybe the timing was off, but it was part of the curriculum, and just like most of the others aspects of potions, it was an unpleasant part of school.
Amy was absolutely rubbish at potions, much like her father had been while he'd attended Hogwarts. She just couldn't seem to chop ingredients right. They were too thick or too thin, but either way, they just weren't the right measurement for what she was trying to make. Mathieu, she marvelled, cut the ingredients expertly. Ravenclaw's and their intelligence really were astounding. His knife moved to exactly the right place every time, cutting this accurately. His sleeves were pushed up to his elbows to prevent soiling them, and the harder he worked, the more his hair would poof up. It was cute, she thought, that hair of his. It was cute the way he got stressed and frazzled and his hair reacted accordingly. She watched him working with a smile and-
boom.
Boom being the sound the potion made when it exploded. She wasn't quite sure what he'd done wrong, but the whole thing had gone up in a cloud of smoke, therefore, somewhere, he must've slipped up a bit. She giggled a little bit into her hand. She'd blown up lots of potions, but people expected that from her. She wasn't necessarily what one would call a naturally gifted student. Mathieu turned around to look at her, his face a little blackened by the explosion. She walked over to him laughing. "My day's been fine, thank-you. And I haven't blown anything up, but the sun hasn't set yet, so I still have time."
she laughed pleasantly and smiled up at him. "So what's the plan? What do you want to do today?[/blockquote] ● ● ● words ●tags ● Matt! <3 lyrics ● Me and All my Friends - Walk the Moon credits ● All Credits for template and text go to Lacey outfit ● Clicknotes ● and let the cute begin!
