She is more athletic than skinny, lean and toned muscles. Her skin is darker than many of her fairer cousins, a mellow golden tan all year long. Her naturally blonde hair is thick and coarse, often wild looking, reaching to the middle of her back. Her hands often surprise people, short fingernails bitten down until they bled, often covered in a layer of dirt, with fresh cuts and scapes apparent, and knuckles swollen. Her palms were soft though, silky even. She is reasonable at most sports and finds herself playing one or another at any given time. She dresses like a tomboy most of the time, still alluring somehow, always wearing mascara to highlight her faded blue eyes. She cleans up nicely for the rare occasions she feels like it. In her school uniform, she gives off the air of not particularly caring when she walked out of the dorm. She almost always seem to be a mess, when she empties her pockets she is always surprised. (Not always pleasantly.)
She has strong features but a soft face. Her eyebrows are thick and dark, very serious across her face, giving her sometimes stoic face more weight. She has a broad, often goofy grin. She rarely bothers with any makeup other than mascara and maybe chap stick. Her lips are often windburned and chapped. She makes strange faces frequently, making people laugh out loud with no intention of being funny. Watching her focus on anything is often it's own brand of entertainment because she gives herself wholly over to the experience.
What make me unique; Adrian is strange by any one's account. Even her own family finds her odd at times. She has many and varied interests, never knowing too much about one thing. She finds the commonplace boring and is never happy with status quo. She sees through most people's facades with ease, often putting people on edge with her uncanny remarks. For those that she likes, it is a wonderful feeling to be completely accepted by another person who understands you. She is usually searching for the same thing, rarely finding anyone who can handle her at her worst. She has little patience with arrogance undeserved. Though her mouth forms the right words, her body reads something different entirely. Those she doesn't like will find her prescence irritating, but for some undefinable reason.
She is quick with sharp wit, sometimes to laugh, sometimes to cut. She has gotten quieter as she has gotten older, often suprising people with her sudden comments that drip acid and truth. For the few that she is comfortable with, she is an amazing friend. She is loyal, funny, full of energy, constantly dropping genuine comments and making herself look silly. To the rest of the world, she is quiet, caustic, sarcastic. People find themselves treating her like a wild animal that has wandered in the house, transfixed but terrified, moving slowly so as not to startle her. She has a flashing temper, going from joy to rage in a matter of seconds. She is manipulative in subtle ways, and she tries hard to not manipulate her friends. She flirts with everyone, often awkward, smiling broadly, making one wonder if she is being serious. If she is, she'll find a way to let you know. Other wise you just keep guessing. She loves hard and often, but never for long, quickly bored in love. She avoids messing with her friends, some sense of losing something important if she fools around with them.
She is moody, but stoic at times. The only way to know how her mood is would be to speak to her. Depending on her response one can test the safety of the water. She may dreamily quote a poet, or say something sharp about whatever her mind is on, God willing not you. Many intially doubted her being sorted into Slytherin, but she laughed behind her hand at such people. They had no idea who she was, only saw the front she showed them. Those in her house know her to be just a fierce as themselves, sometimes more so. She can be creatively cruel, planning things out to the last dotted i. She is intelligent but lazy. She fears people who know her well, afraid that one day they are going to turn from her. At times she pushes them just to see how far they will go. She sometimes lacks common sense, talking as if she views the world through rose tinted glasses, but she is a pessimist at heart. She expects the worst and always plans for it. She always has a plan B.

Living the teenage dream,
Adrian's mother was a little rebel in her time, bumping her parents authority on a trip to Austrailia. She came back with the man in tow, the two of them hopelessly in love, and her pregnant. Her parents shunned her, balking at her so blatantly flaunting their beliefs by being with a muggle. She didn't care then, those first few years like gold. It didn't last. Things were breaking apart when Samuel was born three years later. Soon they were separated and Adrian was living with her grandparents, submersed into a pure blooded priveleged world. She still find her ways onto the street, mingling with vagrant children, Samuel in tow with her. They caused much trouble and while she was getting a formal education about magic from her grandmother, her friends were teaching her the best way to sneak past the adults and grab their food or their wallet without being seen. Samuel and her shared many ice cream cones with stolen money.
She was quiet then too, keeping to herself mostly, always smiling at the adults. She learned quickly how to manipulate them. She saw her father infrequently. She was spoiled, but still wore her clothing that had rips and tears in them. She stole high top sneakers and almost got arrested by the muggle police when she was ten. Everyone was thankful when her Hogwarts letter came. She had mixed emotions heading off to school. She felt free, but she also worried for Samuel by himself. She missed him fiercely that first year, but she made up for it by spending her summer dedicated to him. Her second year was harder, people whispering about her heritage behind their hands, the men her mother had recently slept with the talk of the town amongst other adults in the elite little community of pure bloods. She find it obnoxious and in her third year set everyone straight. She was merciless, cutting back those who whispered of her, winning their respect with proverbial blood. She made her enemies, but she won respect as well and a degree of freedom returned.
She was suddenly half a woman and found many boys interesting. However as a tomboy she often had a hard time securing anyone's affections. She learned about heart break through this, unrequited loves sometimes laughed at. She learned to harden her heart to her emotions, never trusting anyone she became interested in. It led to many learning experiences. Other girls were fascinated by how she behaved and how she still managed to get the boys to hang on her words. She started dressing more like a girl, started wearing make up, and still had the air of being slightly dirty all the time. She did excellently in all her classes. She pursued potions with passion, often impressing her professors.
