ONE DAY, WHEN THE SKY IS FALLING i'll be standing, right next to you... It had finally happened, she had finally graduated. There was a little shock amongst her family, when seeing her final report card, but she guessed that was a good thing. It never seemed they believed she could pass, and holding that lack of faith in her, made her not believe in herself for a long time. Chloe had motivation, and if it took that one person to believe and be there for her, so be it. Chloe was going to miss Hogwarts, all the memories, and adventures with her best mates, but they took a pack they'd all keep in touch. Chloe had returned home, but only to pick her clothes, some photo albums, and her necessities. So much for being pregnant before she graduated, so much for ending up in Azkaban. It felt nice to prove everyone wrong, that she couldn't deny. Yet if she didn't meet up with Link, and have a deep realization, she'd probably be a waitress somewhere. Chloe was muggle born, she always wanted to do something around cosmetics, and knew she'd land herself a job easily that way. Yet someone helped her believe she was better then that, and now she was working for the ministry, starting in the fall. Link had always been there, even when he was away playing quidditch. She would always owl him regularly, and his dose of inspiration made her cram down on her books. She passed her N.E.W.Ts with a couple flaws, but that didn't stop her from getting her job. Her animal instincts, had her always wanting to work with magical creatures. Now she would be, protecting them and their off spring, and handling the villains whom disturbed them. The thought was thrilling, it was sort of like being an animal cop, in the muggle world. Only this was dealing with larger animals, that were particularly dangerous.
Chloe gathered the last bit of her stuff and looked back at her old room. The girls family did seem a little curious to why she was morning out so quickly, but she had always been one to leave home early. Living with an alcoholic father, and a mother that didn't believe in her hurt, this was why she found family in her friends and didn't care much for the biological bit, of it all. Chloe grabbed her cell phone and made her way out to the cab. She put her luggage bags in and started toward London. She was to meet Link there, and go shopping for some new things to make her feel at home, when moving in with him. Her mother wasn't thrilled she was moving in with a boy, but she herself was psyched. Chloe trusted Link with all she was, and she knew this was going to be a fun experience. Never once did she expect all this to be happening, but she couldn't say she wasn't fully ready to be on her own, with a little help of course. Chloe watched out the window dreaming of what it was going to be like, living with Link. She knew she'd have her own room, and she knew he said his house was over all, homey. She knew she'd feel at home just because he was there, but there was also a side of her that was nervous. Chloe didn't want to bring her bad habits with her, like leaving her hair products all over the bathroom, or walking out of her cloths after a long day. She wondered if her quirks would bother him, but she'd try her best to fix everything, because he was so generous to offer this to her.
No one had ever opened their home and heart, to her in the way Lincoln had. She was very grateful, and didn't how how to repay him. This was different then the nights she got kicked out, and traveled to James' house to crash. It wasn't crashing, it was actually making a living til she could live on her own. Link had been so kind, the only guy that didn't treat her like she was worth nothing but sex. A gentleman of sorts, and she loved that about him. Any girl was a lucky one to have him. She wondered if he had been dating, he would have told her most likely. The thought of another girl being in the same house with her, some what made her jealous. Yet it wasn't her place to ask. This was another reason why Chloe and James didn't split an apartment. She knew they'd get sick of watching the other one bringing different parties into the place, but that was her second option. She'd miss her James, cuddling with him at night in the common room. It saddened her to think of it, as a part of her past. On the bright side now she could cuddle with Link. Something she longed to do since, he left Hogwarts. Chloe noticed she was now in Downtown London, and she gave the cab driver money and an address on paper. The address, Link told her to have her bags delivered to since they'd be out being productive all afternoon. After she watched the cab drive off she took in a deep breath, readying herself to enter the establishment.
A coffee shop? How cliché of him, she thought. It was a simple place to meet. She walked through the door and her green eyes settled upon Link, and she bit her lip and walked over standing over where he had been seated. "Miss me?" She broke the silence, and quirked her eyebrow at her own rhetorical question. "Of course you did, I'm so flipping excited, Linkster!" She told him with a wide grin, as she bent down and hugged him. She broke the hug because she thought she was squeezing too tight as she looked to the menu. She'd need a little more energy to kick off her early afternoon, experience. "How have you been?" She asked with a smile.

THE STARS LEAN DOWN TO KISS YOU, AND I LIE AWAKE AND MISS YOU- - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - It was hard to believe that the summer had already come. Where did the time go? Link found himself surprised by how quickly it had come upon him, but only because he knew that it meant he would be gaining a new roommate. He hasn’t had a roommate since he was at Hogwarts himself, unless you count the two years that he spent playing for the Falmouth Falcons and had to play away games. But even then, that was just for a night or two, so it wasn’t the same thing. Now, Lincoln was going to be sharing his flat with a girl, which in itself he was sure would be a challenge. Being friends with Chloe is one thing, but living with her would be entirely different. He only hoped that they would both be able to manage it.
He didn’t mind helping her. She was one of his closest friends and he was in a position to help her. He worked for the Ministry and he knew a number of people there, so talking to the head of the Department for the Regulation and Control of Magical Creatures about getting her an interview during one of the final Hogsmeade weekends of the year was nothing not a problem for him. It wasn’t like he got her the job, she got that herself, all he did was get her the interview. And he thought it would be fun to work with her every day, though they weren’t exactly working together in the same department. But they would be heading to work at the same time, and getting home at the same time, so it would make the home living situation much easier with them being on the same basic schedule.
He wasn’t meeting her at his flat though. No, he had arranged to meet her for lunch and gave her the address of his flat so that her things could be taken there ahead of her. He wanted to take her to lunch and then go shopping for some things for the home. Link was a simple guy so he only had the bare essentials in his flat. He didn’t need much, but he was sure she would need a bit more than he did so he decided that they could go shopping for that stuff together, so that she had a say in what he bought and so that she didn’t buy all this pink stuff to stick all over his place. A few things, he could deal with, but not too much. He wasn’t much of a fan of the color so having it all over his flat would eventually nauseate him.
He sat at a table in the café he told her to meet him at and bounced his leg repeatedly on the ground as he held his hands around a large steaming mug of tea. He had been just about to take a sip of his tea when he saw her walk through the door. She looked beautiful and he swallowed the lump that had somehow risen up in his throat as he watched her draw nearer to him. “Of course I have,” he said to her when she asked if he missed her. He then chuckled when she told him that he must have missed her. His smile widened when she told him that she was excited and he nodded his head at her. “I am too,” he said as he hugged her.
He then motioned for her to sit down at the table with him so that the pair could have lunch before going off to shop. “I’ve been all right,” he told her when she asked how he has been. “cleaned the flat this morning for your arrival, though I’m sure you’ll learn what sort of slob I really am in time,” he joked. He then caught the waiter’s eye and nodded to him to come over and take their order. “I figured you and I could have a spot of lunch before we go shopping,” he told her with a smile. The waiter then appeared at the table and asked if Chloe wanted anything to drink. “whatever you want. My treat,” he told her as he then turned his head upwards to look at the waiter, “and if you could bring two menus when you come back with her drink, that would be great,” he said. - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - tag: chloe where: coffee shop outfit: minus long-sleeved shirt credit: ( immortal t e e n ) of caution 2.0, modified by me notes: let me know if i need to change anything

ONE DAY, WHEN THE SKY IS FALLING i'll be standing, right next to you... The thought of moving in with a man in general was far from where she saw her life at this age. Chloe had always been boy crazy, but that didn't imply move in with one. She was a little nervous to be away from the castle, which she considered her fist home. Where her parents live she never really got to enjoy life, her father was always bringing her down, and her mother was in a trance by whatever he said. Deep down, as strong as she was, she had small things that hurt her. Chloe couldn't stand when people she loved thought bad of her, and she couldn't stand the thought of facing failure. It was great to know this wasn't the case, and she could move on from her past. With a fresh start everything seemed to fall into place, she never thought Link would care enough to bring her into his home. Honestly, they had a deep past and he made her see she wasn't what everyone thought she was. Link made it known she had a future and she was a good person. She loved him for that, and the last time meeting with him, even opened her eyes to a crush. Of course Link was beautiful, and he had something about him that drew her attention, but more - he was the one who treated her like a lady, and made her smile when no one else could. There was something special, but she could quite say what she was feeling just yet.
As she walked into the shop she found him and instantly smiled. Chloe hugged Link tight, showing him how much she missed him. Her cocky words flapped out of her mouth, and she took a seat readying herself for the day. Chloe was glad to know what Link missed her too, and he was excited about this new experience that the two would share. It made her happy he liked the thought of her moving in, it made her feel less needy. It was Link's suggestion that brought her here, Chloe never would have asked. She was very self righteous and didn't like to cast herself upon people. She knew everyone had their own problems, and she'd be damned if she'd the the bulk of it all. Chloe let Link convince her in many owls this was a good idea, she loved his dedication, and knew he was a great help. The thought of working a job just to stay in an apartment was horrible. If she was older it may have been easier, but she needed to get a foundation of who she was, before trooping it alone. She never thought she would be alone, she feared silence and isolation. She'd stay with Link as long as he allowed her, and would enjoy life. Link was well aware she drank, she danced and had fun. In the past he told her boys were no good for her, because it mess with her self esteem and she deserved better. She really did, and a special friend proved that.
Now sitting across from him she listened to him say he was cleaning all day. "Awe, Link I would have helped ya clean." She told him with concerned eyes. "I guess there will be many nights I can help to return the favor." She recovered, her eyes returning to the menu. Chloe wasn't a typical girl, she actually loved food. "You sure you want to say those words, they're dangerous? Giving a girl that much freedom." She asked in regards to him saying his treat. "I don't see you on this menu, so I don't get what I want exactly." She mused with a bit of her lip. She always played with Link in this way. Chloe was only teasing as the waitress walked up. "I'll have a turkey club sandwich, with mayo and extra pickles. And a water with lemon on the side." She said sweetly, handing in her menu. It wasn't nothing too big but certainly fit into the lunch category. She always skipped breakfast, so this would be her first meal. "So, I'm thinking ahead and maybe we can rent a movie tonight, I mean it will be a new house and what not, but I don't only want it to be a learning experience." Of course she'd have to learn her boundaries and the new house. She didn't want to be too over whelmed. "Maybe we can even make dinner together." She said in regards to breaking her into the house.

THE STARS LEAN DOWN TO KISS YOU, AND I LIE AWAKE AND MISS YOU- - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - Lincoln has been preparing himself for this moment for some time, ever since he first offered to have Chloe come live with him after she got out of school. He hadn’t necessarily expected it to be a long term thing, but he figured it would at least be helpful to her to start off fresh after Hogwarts, with a new job and a new place, but he wasn’t sure she’d want to live alone. As much as he enjoyed his bachelor pad these last four years, he had been thinking lately that it was time to get himself a roommate, and what better choice than one of his closest friends. She had jumped at the idea, though asked him several times over if he was sure he wanted to invite her into his man cave. If he hadn’t been sure, he wouldn’t have offered, which he told her several times over between that first offer and today.
He was glad to spend more time with her though; they were friends after all, and she always seemed to be immune to his veela charms, or at least never fawned over him the way most of the other girls did. That in itself was refreshing since it is why Lincoln has not been with a girl in his entire life. Not that his reasons for inviting chloe were because of that. That isn’t to say he hasn’t thought about her in such a way before, because he totally has, but he wasn’t asking her to live with him because he was hoping, or expecting, to get lucky. That has always been the furthest thing from his mind, both with her and any other girl, and he was sure it would remain as such for a long time.
If he hadn’t been born a half veela, this wouldn’t be an issue for him and he was sure that he’d have had at least a few girlfriends under his belt by this time. But how does one allow another to get close when there is always that constant thought eating away inside of them of the true nature of the other person’s feelings? Being born a half veela, his effect on women was much stronger than someone who is only a quarter veela or less. Just as he was sure that a full veela would have an even more powerful pull on people. His father, who he’s never known, was a full veela and it always made him wonder if that was the reason his mother had allowed him close enough to rape her in the first place. He hated thinking about it, but because he hated thinking about the idea of a man forcing a woman to lay with him. If you’re a veela, there would be thousands of women lining up to lay with you; why take it from the unwilling?
“It’s no big deal. magic works wonders,” he said with a wink, making sure to say the part about using magic lower so that no one around them could hear. “Oh, I am sure there will be plenty of opportunities for you to help clean,” he told her with a smirk. he shrugged his shoulders at her comment about him treating her to lunch. “I’m a gentleman,” he told her with a proud smile, “and I know how to treat a lady so don’t worry about it. I got this,” he told her. his smile faltered slightly when she told him she didn’t see him on the menu, but he quickly recovered. “That’s because I’m a special,” he joked in return. Chloe gave the waiter her lunch order and Link smiled. “I’ll have the same, and a refill on my tea, please,” he told the waiter who nodded at them and left the table.
After the man walked away to put in their order, Chloe suggested that they rent a movie and cook dinner together later that night. “Sure, we can do that. We can pick up the things we need while we’re out today. And there’s a video rental store just down the street from the flat so we can grab that after we bring anything we buy today home,” he said to her with a nod of his head. The waiter returned with her drink and more hot water for his tea and he smiled up at him. “thank you,” he said before the man walked away. “So tell me, Mac, how does it feel to finally be out of school for good?” he asked her curiously. He knew that it was different for everyone, which is why he asked in the first place. He himself had been both excited and sad. He was going to be playing professional Quidditch, but he was going to miss those that were still in Hogwarts that he was essentially leaving behind, the beauty sitting cross from him being one of them.

Now she knew this was real, Chloe found herself in a state of disbelief, and she'd probably stay that way until she was laying in her very own bed. Chloe was concerned with the fact if she'd be comfortable sleeping alone. Of course it was a process she'd have to get used to, but she'd need to get used to a bunch of different things. Living with Link wasn't like living with every other guy she was close to. Though she would try to help her careless habits, she needed to adjust mentally to being around Link's veela charm. Through the years she had gotten used to it, it was much weaker then it once was, but she was still drawn to him. It was a bit different now, after he had been her motivation to straighten out the last few months, and what not she grew attached. Chloe hated the idea of attachments, she hated the idea of being dependent, but it was life. One couldn't go through life without ever having feelings, without ever needed someone to be there. Chloe relied on her friends, as they did her, but this was much different. She may have grown a crush, which to her was a big deal. It wasn't the charm, it was the way he made her feel like she was more then just a girl. Like she deserved to be happy, and live a strong life with her worth still intact. She sat there for a moment taking in her thoughts and pushing them away for conversation.
As the two went on about cleaning she knew lots of magic spells that helped with cleaning. It had almost slipped her mind, because she was muggle born and she couldn't really use magic at home. Link knew that about her. "Well then I look forward to the future, I don't do windows, or anything having to do with bugs for future reference." She teased. Chloe was picky about her chores, she even hated laundry but she think Link may be put into shock if he has to wash some of her more appealing lingerie. When they began to order food she had told Lincoln it was dangerous to give her that much freedom, or any girl for that matter. He replied he was a gentleman he had it under control. Chloe nodded, "if you say so." She told him sticking her nose up a bit. She giggled, she wasn't used to someone treating her so special. As her green eyes skimmed the menu she joked about not seeing him on there, at his words she bit her bottom lip. This man in front her her was surely special material. "One of those rare dishes huh?" Chloe asked charmingly. She leaned forward after the waitress took their menu and walked off to place their ordered.
Chloe was excited for the fact they would get to cook together. She wondered if Link could cook, being a single male in his own house he had to know right. "Hopefully your a good chef, because I'd burn water." Chloe said blushing. Yes, she was a girl but she never had skills in cooking. "You'll have to teach me, if you have any culinary skills." She mused, Chloe could make desert, she was good at that, because it was the best part. "I can bake us sugar cookies." Chloe told him, with a confident smile. She was thrill she could be part of all this. When the women returned with their drinks she sipped from her straw and listened to his question. "I'll miss it for sure, but it's part of growing up." She told him, she'd miss her school life and popularity. "It feels pretty different Linkster, I mean this whole thing we are doing is completely new to me, for you too I'd imagine." She said, she hadn't even started to work yet. It was just another thing to be excited about. "One step at a time, I've never really been one to look at things positively, until I got a grasp on what was going on." Chloe admitted. She had made many mistakes, but somewhere she knew growing up wasn't one of them.

THE STARS LEAN DOWN TO KISS YOU, AND I LIE AWAKE AND MISS YOU- - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - Lincoln was glad to be able to hang out with Chloe again. It’s been a long time when they were not confined to the grounds of Hogwarts to the village of Hogsmeade. Now they were in the real world and there was nothing to force their plans or limit their time. There were no professors that lingered over them to make sure that they were behaving and following the rules. Not that he would misbehave or anything, he wasn’t that kind of guy, but it just felt different and liberating; he was excited to experience it. He missed Chloe during the four years that she was still in school and he was out in the real world. They exchanged owls during that time, and saw one another occasionally during a Hogsmeade weekend and the summers, but that had been the extent of their visitation. Now, it was different.
It felt natural to sit there with her and discuss who would be cleaning what and what appliances they would get. It was strange how natural it felt, but it did. He couldn’t help but smile at her and chuckle softly when she told him that she didn’t do windows and she wouldn’t do anything that involved insects. “Scared of some little bugs, eh?” he asked in a playful tone. “Don’t worry, I wouldn’t expect you to do that,” he told her with a signature grin. He was enjoying this playful banter, reminding him how much he’s missed it. “And you know I am,” he replied after her joke about him saying so about being a gentleman. He was and he knew she knew that. That was, for the most part, how they met in the first place. “You know it,” he said with a wide and proud grin when she asked if he was one of those rare dishes.
When Chloe had suggested that they cook dinner that night in honor of her finally being there, he was all for it. “I’m good enough,” he told her when she said she hoped he was a good cook, “I just hope I don’t disappoint,” he added. Now, he suddenly felt nervous about cooking for her, as if he needed to impress her with his culinary skills. He wasn’t the best chef out there, but his mother and aunt did teach him and his cousin Timmy a great deal about the kitchen and how to use it. “I’ll start teaching you tonight then,” he told her warmly, hoping to relieve some of the unexpected nervousness that he was experiencing. “With sprinkles on top?” he asked after she told him she could bake them sugar cookies. “Wait, so you can bake, but you can’t cook,” he said curiously before finishing his tea.
After the waiter returned with their drinks, he asked Chloe how it felt finally be out of Hogwarts for good. He nodded when she told him that she missed it, adding a bit of sugar to his tea as he did so. “I can appreciate that, especially after having lived there for the last seven years of your life,” he said as he stirred his tea. And it was true; it was different after having lived in one place for so long and then going to another, especially when it was in an entirely different situation. Before she had shared a room with a number of girls similar to her and now she was going to a two bedroom flat with just him. “It is, but I am sure we’ll both adjust all right,” he reassured her. “And I know it’ll only get better,” he said with a confident smile. - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - tag: chloe where: coffee shop outfit: minus long-sleeved shirt credit: ( immortal t e e n ) of caution 2.0, modified by me

ONE DAY, WHEN THE SKY IS FALLING i'll be standing, right next to you... This was pretty intense, she never imagined herself to be the type to cook and clean but here she was fawning over the idea. Chloe always thought she was destine to be a loner. Someone who would be independent living in her own little studio. Things changed over her last year at Hogwarts. She didn't really mind the idea though, Chloe actually encouraged it. Link had been one of the only guys to look past the fact she was a nice piece of tail. Lincoln never treated her like anything but a lady, and she kind of admired that about him. When she called him a gentleman she knew it was true, because he never proved to be anything but. A smile appeared on her lips when he asked was she scared of a little bug. "Oh, you know it. Spiders and Chloe Mac don't Mix." She told Link with a smile. It was true she hated anything that was classified as an insect. It was odd because Chloe loved animals she just didn't have the same love for bugs. When it came to the talk of him offering her to pay for their lunch she didn't object. One because she liked being treated, and two she knew as much as she tried to fight he'd insist. When Lincoln made up his mind it was normally set so she ordered what she felt like having.
A smirk appeared when he ordered the same, that was a good thing it meant they had similar taste buds at least. Making dinner wouldn't be too hard. Chloe wasn't the greatest cook, nor would she claim to be. She hated using the stove top because she always burned things. Link agreed to teach her to cook and she smiled, cooking with him would be fun. When Link said he hoped he didn't disappoint her she pouted a bit. "You know you could never do that. If you did all you got to do is look at them with them pretty eyes of yours, and you'll never disappoint." Chloe mused with a wink. She enjoyed being flirty with Link. It was much more awkward when she was still in school but now everything was fair game. Chloe had said she'd make desert and when he questioned she could bake but not cook he licked her lips and nodded. "Yes, I can bake and read instructions. Cooking doesn't always have a guide. You can pop cookies in the oven, know the degree of heat and BAM instantly goodness." Chloe explained. Cooking and baking were two different things, but she wouldn't mind trying to help. Chloe may have slacked in her studies but she did love to learn. "Of course what is a sugar cookie without sprinkles Linkster?" She asked wide eyed. They were the best part.
Link had asked her what it was like to finally be out of Hogwarts. It had been such a short period she didn't even know yet. She never gave answers til she was positive either. Chloe sure hoped everything would go smoothly. She was new at this whole living with a man thing, it would go well. The two accented one another, and always seemed to get along. Chloe hadn't ever really had an argument with Link. He was like her other half in most senses. The more calm, and logical side. "It will get better, and funner and we will grow together." She said squeaking a bit. She giggled to herself and watched the waitress bring them their food. Good thing too, she was actually hungry. Chloe picked up a half of her sandwich and took a nice bite. She ate like a lady, taking sips of her drink here and there. As time went on, she had finished her food and a good proportion of her drink. "So what is on the agenda first Link? I'm excited to go shopping and finally see your pad." She said with a sparkle in her eyes. The thought of decorating her new room was exciting. She'd surely need his help, and then they could do other things. Chloe was a bit hyped up, she waited for Lincoln to finish his food. The anticipation of getting to see the flat he had talked about in the past was on her mind. The still had quite a few things to do though first.

THE STARS LEAN DOWN TO KISS YOU, AND I LIE AWAKE AND MISS YOU- - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - When Lincoln had asked Chloe if she was afraid of bugs, he hadn't actually meant for her to answer. He knew that most girls didn't like bugs, and he even knew a few guys that didn't like them. "Then I guess you'll be using your wand to get rid of them, should you ever come into contact with one," he joked, winking at her as he said so. "But if you ever do see one that even you can't kill, I'll come to your rescue," he added playfully, sticking his tongue out at her after he said that. He was sure she would know he was only playing around with her, and that he wasn't making fun of her. It felt good to be acting like this with her again, being playful and carefree, like it was back in the old days when they were both still at Hogwarts together. It felt good to be in such a situation with her again, even though he never thought that they would be living together. It was funny how things ended up working out.
When the topic of cooking came up, Link told her that he would happily teach her how to cook. It was practically inevitable since they were going to be living together for an undisclosed amount of time. He hadn't expected her to do all the cooking, but he hadn't expected to do it all either. And since she was telling him that she couldn't cook very well, he knew he'd have to help teach her a thing or two. "I don't know about all that," he told her when she told him that he could never disappoint and that he only had to give a look with his eyes to make it all better. She had told him that she would bake them cookies so he asked how she could bake but not cook. "I guess I can see why you'd think that," he said when she told him that baking was more about following directions than cooking was. "I'll turn you into a world class chef yet," he told her with a wide grin. "Those are the best part," he told her about the sprinkles on the sugar cookies.
The conversation then moved on to her being out of Hogwarts and how it felt for her to finally be out of the place she lived in for the last seven years. He could appreciate how she felt; he had felt the same way when he left Hogwarts four years ago. He has since gotten used to it, though now he had to do it all over again with a roommate, with her. Her comment about them living together made him smile, and he told her that they would adjust to it eventually. Aside from his mother and aunt, Link has never lived with a woman, so it would be different no matter what. "Yes we will," he told her with a charming smile when she told him that they would grow together while they adjusted. The waiter brought them their food and Link dug in right away. "I think we should get the food last, so none of it spoils while we're looking at anything else," he told her. "I think we should go look at some furniture first. There's only a mattress in your room right now, so you'll need an actual bed, and then you'll probably want to get some matching dressers or something, right?" he asked her before taking another bite of his sandwich.

It may have not been known but Chloe was a sweet girl, she wouldn't harm a fly and Link knew that. She just didn't like bugs, but she had a firm belief that nothing should be killed. Everything had it's purpose in life, who was she to destroy one of God's creatures? "No I wouldn't kill it Link, I'd wait for you to pick it up and bring it outside where it could live free, but not bother me." She said with a smirk. She liked the fact they both were compassionate about certain things. It made her happy that they had similar beliefs and common ground. Maybe that's why he was the ying to her yang in senses. Chloe always was drawn to Lincoln but she knew this was different. She just knew he didn't date because he was scared girls would date him for the wrong reasons. She liked the fact he believed in love and had strong morals for himself. Over time he convinced her that there was more in life then just sleeping around, and not caring about her future. She had Link to thank for a lot of progression in her life, just like the reason she was present for this occasion.
Chloe liked the playful banter she could have with Lincoln it felt unreal to her that she was actually moving in with this guy. He was amazing, and generous and she couldn't have asked for a better friend. Secretly she wished for more, but she wouldn't force the issue. Chloe was sure many girls would want more with Link, but not with her motives. There were none deserving of his loyalty or affection, this she was sure of. The two spoke about cooking, and how she couldn't boil an egg. Chloe could learn, she was actually rather intelligent which most failed to see. Mainly because she worked at her own pace, and even if she assignments were late she still got good grades. She actually worked very hard after Christmas break to keep her grades at O's and P's. She couldn't have anything looking bad if she wanted to work for the ministry. Link agreed to teach her and she grinned wide. "I knew you wouldn't fail me." Chloe said confident. She always trusted in Link, and so what if it took him a long time to teach her, it was something they could do together. She knew she'd want to spend as much time with him as possible, learning his quirks and that it was like to live with him. Link spoke of sprinkles being the best part and she nodded. "Of course they are, it's like the icing on a cake, you don't forget that do you?" She asked rhetorically, not expecting an answer.
Chloe ate her sandwich. She enjoyed every mouthful because it had been something she was craving. It was light on the stomach so she'd have plenty of room for whatever they ate later in the evening. The two would grow together, she liked the idea of that. In her mind she was never drawn to guys she age, even as a feisty thirteen year old, she found herself with mostly seventh year boys. It was a sad past, but she did like older guys. Link was mature, and romantic, he had his life sorted for the most part and she admired that. Merlin, she was thinking like a love sick teen. Chloe snapped herself from her thoughts and finished her food. "Sure furniture it is. A bed set, lots of pillows and a pretty comforter, a dresser with a vanity and a bean bag chair. Link I need the giant bean bag chair." She said looking him dead in the eye. Her serious expression soon turned faded into smile. When he finished up and paid the bill she got to her feet pulling her dress down a bit. It was kind of short, but she'd always have respect for herself around him. "Okay, London town it is. I'm sure we will find many nifty stores that hold the things on the list Linkster." She said sliding her hand into his as she lead him out into the streets of London. Chloe was wide eyed, she walked hand in hand with him and window shopped til she saw something that caught her eye. "It's bloody perfect!" She said a spark of excitement in her tone. Chloe sprung forward pulling Link into a furniture store. Chloe lead Link over to the cherry wood canopy bedroom set. She let go of his hand and examined it, looking over her shoulder to him for approval or opinion.

THE STARS LEAN DOWN TO KISS YOU, AND I LIE AWAKE AND MISS YOU- - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - Link couldn't help but find it amusing that Chloe hated bugs the way she did, but cared enough for them not to want to kill them. He knew that she liked animals, which is why he had helped her get a job with the Department for the Regulation and Control of Magical Creatures, but he didn't think the bugs she claimed to loathe were included in that. Not that there was anything wrong with that though, because there wasn't; he just found it amusing that her love for animals extended that far, to keep her from killing a tiny bug that could make her scream in fright. "All right, I'll capture them so that you can set them free," he told her with a grin. "But if they get back in and you freak out again, you're on your own," he added in a teasing tone. He'd still help her, he knew he would, but it was fun to tease her.
He didn't mind that Chloe wasn't a world class chef, or that she'd burn even the simplest of things. It wasn't as if he had asked her to move in with him because he wanted her to take care of him. He could do that just fine on his own, as he had done for the last four years. No, he asked her to live with him because he knew that it would be good for her to start fresh out of school, a new job and a new place, and that it would be easier for her to acclimate to the responsibility of being an adult if she had a bit of help from outside of her family. He offered to help teach her and he was glad that she seemed open to the idea. Some people might have gotten defensive over the offer, but she hadn't. "Have I ever?" he asked her with a slightly arched eyebrow when she told him she knew he wouldn’t fail her. "Never," he said with a smirk about the sprinkles on the cookies.
Once they finished eating, Chloe had asked him what the plan was for the day, before they would get back to the flat for the night, and he suggested they go look for some furniture for her. He admitted to not really having anything in his second bedroom for her to use as far as furniture was concerned, so the idea of getting some for her seemed like a pretty important thing for them to do once they left the café. He nodded when she listed off what she would want to get, and chuckled at her mention of the bean bag chair. "Sounds like a good idea. I may get one for myself as well," he told her before dropping some money on the table and standing up from his chair.
"Lead on, my lady," he said playfully when she said that London town was their destination. Since it was her furniture, he would let her take the lead. He didn't know what sort of furniture she'd want, so he felt it wrong to try and force her in a specific direction. He let her take his hand as he walked with her out of the café and onto the streets of London. He pointed out a few places, just in case she had missed them, and then stopped with her when she did. He looked at what she said was perfect and smiled as she tugged him into the furniture store. He let her look the bedroom set over and he smiled widely at her when she looked back at him. "It looks like it would suit you just fine," he said with a nod of his head. "Do you want to look at any others while we're here, or is this the one you want?" he asked her. - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - tag: chloe where: coffee shop/london streets outfit: minus long-sleeved shirt credit: ( immortal t e e n ) of caution 2.0, modified by me
