Mckenna let out a heavy sigh as she pulled her fingers through her hair, attempting to undo the knot that had formed thanks to her run. She had been so set on simply getting out of the castle that it hadn’t even crossed her mind to pull her hair back. That came with the territory now it seemed though. Kens felt like she was a constant mess because she was always fleeing. The sound of blood was overwhelming sometimes though and the safest option was to run. Fleeing might not have seemed like the bravest of choices but it was better than her sinking her fangs into someone. She had run as quickly as her legs would carry here, which was faster than she could have ever imagined, which meant that her hair was currently a disaster.
Mckenna let herself sink to the ground. She pulled her legs in Indian style, still dragging her hands through her bright hair. It was going to take her forever to get all of the tangles out, which was why she had decided on this spot. With the smell of the water rolling in off the breeze of the lake, she wouldn’t be so tempted by the smell of blood. Besides, there weren’t many people around at the moment which meant that it was safer for the time being. Kens fished into her pocket and slipped a blood lollipop out. She unwrapped the little candy and shoved it into her mouth. Her eyes slid closed in pure enjoyment as the flavor washed over her taste buds. It was a simple pleasure that would not hold her over but it would stop her from trying to take a chunk out of the next person who came across her, which was all she could ask for these days.
She rubbed her hands down her face before pushing her hands back into her long red hair. So began the long process of trying to get her hair back to the glossy finish that she was still growing used to. Her hair was so much more brilliant now than it had been when she had been alive. At first she had despised it, but now she was rather fond of the bright red sheen that her hair had taken on. Kens drew in what was supposed to be a relaxing breath before she exhaled. “I can smell you. So you might as well join me…” Actually she could smell the blood more than she could smell the person but it was polite not to say such things she had learned.

Toni had spent his day in the boys bathroom, on the fourth floor. It was one the the bathrooms, that wasn't normally inhibited by students. One because it wasn't the cleanest, and two because a whiny ghost seemed to be around when ever he turned his head. Toni stood in the mirror with a pair of buzzers, and a comb. The winter had come and gone, and it was time to perfect his mohawk. Toni enjoyed playing with his appearance, in honestly he felt like he was born in the wrong time zone. There should have been many that understood his style, not those now a days who would try to be critics. Toni didn't like having people not understand him, it added to his mysterious appeal and he liked that. As he did the final touches on his head he looked himself over. The boy was shirtless, it was the weekend. Toni wanted to get outside, and drink the bottle of fire whiskey he had stowed away. It seemed like a lovely day to make a friend, and have a drunken adventure. Toni added some gel to his hair, and then put on his white tank top. Toni looked himself over once more and winked into the mirror. Merlin, I'm a handsome devil. he thought to himself before packing up his things.
Toni walked the halls with his long sleeved shirt tucked under his arm. It was only a distraction to hide the bottle of fire whiskey. The boy made his way to the outside, and when he walked into the sun shine, he put on his shades. Where to go? he thought for a moment. Toni guessed it was nice enough to take a trip to the lake. He wasn't sure who he'd run into there but he hoped it was a female companion. Toni made his way to the lake, he stood in between the trees, trying to make out a face. Oh, this was grand. Toni had liked Mckenna since she first time he laid eyes on her. Rumor had it she was a vampire, and he had fallen in love with her existence. At her words he proceeded forward.
Toni lifted his arms to sniff under his pits. "And here I was thinking my weekly shower was working." Toni was being sarcastic of course. He may have looked like he only showered once a week, but he surely squeezed in three or four. He walked over taking a seat beside the girl, and looked into her eyes. "And how are you today, Love?" Toni asked taking the bottle out from it's hiding place. Toni looked her over for a moment, Merlin even after a sweaty run she looked ravishing. The red headed, goddess that owned a part of his being. "Have you missed me?" Toni asked. Kens liked playing hard to get, or Toni was convinced of it. "Wait, don't answer that. Of course you have." he said confidently. Toni took off the bottle cap and held the bottle out to Kenna, "Ladies first." He mused with a charming tone.

McKenna turned her head to the side so she could easily see the person out of her peripheral. Her eyes widened slightly in surprise as she realized who it was that she could smell. Toni. And his hair was back in the Mohawk that he seemed to adopt when it come warmer outside. She shook her head before she turned her gaze away from him once more, meaning that she missed him sniffing at himself. “Apparently you should attempt to shower more. No wonder.” McKenna bit back a laugh, attempting desperately to keep her face blank so he wouldn’t realized just how entertained she was by his comment. There was no way he showered once a week or she wouldn’t be able to stand being around him. That was certainly not the case. Honestly, Kens was rather fond of his company most of the time because he didn’t seem to be afraid of her. Actually, he seemed more interested in her company now that she was undead, which suited her just fine. It meant that she would at least have one person around when the rest of the world seemed to push her to the side because of what she was now.
Kens turned her eyes toward Toni as he settled into a sitting position beside her. She let her brows rise slowly as if surprised that he would so easily sit so close to her. She was still getting used to his proximity, especially since it meant that she could basically see the blood pouring through his veins in that intoxicating manner that made her want to lean over and taste him. McKenna would have blushed at her thoughts if she could have and she quickly tore her gaze away from him, trying to get her mind off the thought. It was something that she wasn’t used to thinking about others still and something that still seemed far too intimate for her. “If I say that I haven’t bitten anyone…will you take that as me having a good day?” Kens let her lips pull down in a small frown before she let out a sigh, having to pull in a breath first to exhale. “I had to run out of the place to keep myself from making the closest person a mid-day snack.” Her shoulders moved up in a shrug like it wasn’t a big deal but she was sure that her features would give her away. It was very much a big deal to her. McKenna shook her head at herself and went back to attempting to untangle her hair slowly, glad that she couldn’t feel the pain of such a thing anymore because it surely would have hurt.
She laughed softly, her mood lifting slightly. Of course he was still going to be as arrogant as he always was. So full of himself to think that she had missed him. “That’s assuming quite a bit, you know.” Kens smiled though. She had actually missed him even if she wouldn’t admit it to him out loud. He very obviously didn’t need the boost to his ego. Her eyes landed on the bottle that he offered to her. If she still had a beating heart it would have raced at the idea of drinking on school grounds. It was something that they could be expelled for. But after the start to this day that she had been having, she didn’t think that things could get much worse. Expulsion might be the safest bet at this point. Kens nodded her head and took the bottle. She took a small drink and held it back out toward Toni, letting the liquid sit in her mouth for a moment. She swallowed it down, making a face. McKenna coughed slightly and shook her head. “Ow…no. Even now that burns like hell.” She scrunched her nose up at the little bottle and the feeling of fire down her throat, knowing that it had to be much less now than what it would have felt like when she was mortal. “All yours, Toni.”
Slowly McKenna reached her hand out, removing it from her own hair to settle in what was left of his. “Why do you keep cutting your hair like this? It’s so beautiful when you let it grow out.” Again, she thanked the gods that she could no longer blush as she pulled her hand away from his hair.
