When You’re Young You Can Fly
But We Trip On Clouds Cause We Get Too High ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ Julia hated being at Hogwarts when she wasn’t in class or anywhere by herself. She loved her brother being there and the few friends she did have but she just hated being there all together. Kids kept coming up to her and wanting her to read their future. She couldn’t stand being there with them always crowding her. It was just too much always. That was the horrors of being a seer, that and the nightmares and visions. She just hated it and she wished she wasn’t a seer. Julia wished she was normal like her other siblings. They didn’t have all that much trouble here at school. Julia was a freak in more ways than one. Not only was she a seer but she couldn’t stand quidditch. Oliver Wood’s daughter can’t stand quidditch. She knew that her father hated that since he was a professional quidditch player. She wished she could do something to make him proud.
Julia’s so called gift was only good for one thing, Divination class. She was very good at the class and it helped out a lot with her gift. Julia didn’t mind this class though as she had it with a guy who she liked but only liked her as a friend. His name was Max Krum and he was cute, like adorable cute. He was on the Gryffindor Quidditch team with her brother Jason. They knew each other and were good friends, and that was how Julia got to know Max. He wasn’t a bad guy like some people talked about. He was sweet and caring and he always tried to help her out of a bad situation. If someone was harassing her about their future and such he would always swoop in and save her from having to go through another headache of trying to tell them that she couldn’t see their future on a whim.
She was glad when class was over. She wanted to just go outside and enjoy the day. Sit under a tree and read a book, draw, or write. She just wanted to be able to relax outside and not have anyone come up to her and ask about their future. She hoped that she could have some time without that but then again that never happened. She never got to relax when she wanted to but that was just her life. She had started to deal with that by the time she got to her fifth year, which was a year ago. She just gave up on that idea and just started going with the flow. She knew that kids were going to constantly bother her about seeing their future but she also knew that she had some friends and a brother who would stick up for her and make them leave her alone when and if they saw her being harassed.
She went up to the Ravenclaw tower and put her school books down. She had her writing pad, drawing pad, and a book she was reading for fun on her bed. She stood there trying to choose between the three options of what she could do in her free time right now. She grabbed up her drawing pad and headed out of the common room. She was ready to get outside. She walked through the double doors that lead out of the castle. She remembered when she first came to Hogwarts and walked through those doors coming in with her brother Jason, wondering what house she was going to be put into. That was just six years ago and she was kind of sad that she wasn’t a first year ago. Those few awkward moments during that first year, just finding things out about the school those were the best. She sat down under a tree and started drawing.

- - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - -"ACHOO!"
Ariana groaned as she made her way up to her dormitory from the Hospital Wing. She had to leave her last class a few minutes early because she couldn't stop sneezing and her professor sent her out because she was disrupting the class. She hadn't meant to do so, but she couldn't help the sneezing either. She didn't have any allergies as far as she was concerned, but that didn't mean that one couldn't develop over time. She hadn't been a werewolf for the first fourteen years of her life, but that had changed during her fourth year when she had turned her then boyfriend Max into a werewolf. The thought of that brought unwanted memories to the blonde Ravenclaw, and she knew that it didn't do well to dwell on those pastimes.
When she had arrived at her dormitory, she put her books down and sighed as she looked at her section of the room and thought about what she wanted to do now. She could do some homework, or study, but she wasn't really in the mood to do that right now. Her constant sneezing had stuffed up her nose and made her entire head feel like it was pounding, and she was sure that studying or doing her homework would only make it worse. Her eyes then landed on her guitar and she smiled to herself. She had a couple of songs that she had unfinished that she could work on, and she was sure it would be a nice distraction from the fact that she wasn't feeling well. Music always made her feel better.
Aria picked up her guitar and the notebook that contained her songs and then started to head out of her dormitory. She made her way out of the Ravenclaw Common Room and down through the castle until she came to the large double wooden doors that made up the main entranceway of the castle. She walked out of the castle and started to think about where to go. She saw a tree not too far away from her and decided that it would be a perfect place to sit and play. As she neared the tree, however, she saw that someone else had the same idea. Just as she decided to go elsewhere, she saw that it was her roommate Julia sitting there and Aria decided to head over anyway.
She and Julia weren't the best of friends, but they were at least on good terms, or at least Aria thought they were. They've been roommates since they both started at Hogwarts almost six years ago so they had no choice but to at least deal with one another. Aria knew that Julia didn’t have that many friends, but that was because the brunette was a Seer and a lot of people tended to bug her to ask about their futures and other such things. Aria had never asked, but that was because she didn’t really want to know. Sometimes it was nice to know what was to come, and other times it wasn't so much fun. "Hey, Jules," she said as she approached her roommate, "mind if I join you?" she asked before she sat down. She didn’t want to intrude if Julia would rather be alone.

When You’re Young You Can Fly
But We Trip On Clouds Cause We Get Too High ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ Julia missed the first couple years at Hogwarts. No one then knew about her ability. They knew she would get nightmares at night a lot but no one actually knew that she could see into the future, have a vision. After her third year though someone she thought she could trust leaked it out and then everyone started coming up to her wanting her to tell them their future. She tried to explain that she just couldn’t do it on a whim that the visions just came to her whenever they wanted not when she wanted. Most didn’t believe her and tormented her for years trying to get the Ravenclaw to crack. It wouldn’t work but she couldn’t tell them that.
Some kids just couldn’t listen and take no for an answer. That was the reason Julia stopped making friends at Hogwarts and retreated to her studies and being by herself. She didn’t feel she could trust anyone ever again. She didn’t want to take the chance of something else like that happening again. Julia trusted no one really. It was a sad life not trusting anyone, not knowing who your friend was really. That was why she loved her books and her studying. She could always tell what was true with that. They never lied to her and only gave her the facts. It was simple yet elegant. Something she wouldn’t get in her real life thanks to the other students. Sometimes she wishes she was homeschooled and not at Hogwarts but then she would think about it and she loves the school. She loves her teachers and wouldn’t change anything about it, except maybe quidditch.
Julia hated quidditch. The whole sport and flying. Every time she got near the quidditch pitch, brooms, or anything to do with it she would have a panic attack. She couldn’t even go watch her brother play in any games. She hated it and wondered if he hated her for not showing up. She had no idea what he thought about it but she hadn’t been able to go anything near quidditch since she was little. She hoped he understood why. She loved her brother and she tried one time to go watch him play. Honestly she went to go conquer her fears and she didn’t make it past the doors to the quidditch arena. It was horrible and she had to go back into the castle as fast as she could. She apologized to Jason though. She hated that she couldn’t go watch his games. He probably wanted her there.
Julia noticed a girl come over. She was the same year and house as Julia was. She knew the girl and she had no idea if they were friends or not. They were civil to each other and they got along. They even studied together sometimes. She asked if she could join her, if she mind? Did Julia mind? No not at all. The girl was kind and wasn’t like the rest. Go ahead and sit she said with a smile. ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~Word Count:: 509 Tag:: Ariana Greyback Outfit:: Click Here for Julia’s Outfit. - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - -When Ariana had asked Julia if she could join her, she had expected a bit more than the 'go ahead and sit' response that she got. Talk about not being very inviting. Aria understood though. She knew that Julia was wary of most people because of her apparent gift of foresight, but Aria had never asked or cared about it. Sure, it was likely a fun gift to know someone has if they can control it, but, from what Aria knew about the gift of sight, it was not controlled.
Aria would never want to know about the future or what it would bring. If there had ever been a time she would've wanted to know, it would have been when she was fourteen and had finally shown that she had the lycanthropy that she believed to be latent within in. If she'd known ahead of time, Max wouldn't be what he was today and they would still be happy together. Or at least she thought they would be. Time has a way of changing everyone, even when they least expected it.
Ariana slowly lowered herself down to the ground so that she was facing Julia and smiled softly at her roommate before she placed her guitar and notebook down beside her. "So," she started, hoping to start some sort of conversation with the brunette, "what are you writing?" she asked curiously. She didn't want to sit there in total silence. It would pretty much defeat the purpose of her joining Julia. It wasn't like they were studying or anything, because then Aria wouldn't mind the silence blanketing them. She was trying to be friendly. They were roommates after all. Why couldn’t they be friends too?
