Ariana made a face as she made her way from the Hospital Wing. She had just taken her potion for the upcoming full moon and it made her feel sick to her stomach. She had never had to take it before, and only started taking it in her fourth year. She hated it and wished she didn’t have to take it, but she knew she had to. She had no choice, if only because the Ministry kept a very close eye on her now because of what had happened in her fourth year. She had made a huge mistake and now she felt as if her entire life was going to be judged by it. Wasn't it bad enough that she lost one of the few people she really cared for because of it?
As she made her way up to her dormitory from the Hospital Wing, her thoughts wandered back to that fateful night when she had met with Max out in the Forbidden Forest for a snogging session. If she had known what would have happened, she would have never met him that night and they would still be together and he wouldn’t be the monster he believes she is. Everything would be different now, Aria was sure of that, and she hated that she felt like she was under a microscope at all times. She wanted to feel normal again, but she was sure that she would never feel that way again. Maybe once she was out of Hogwarts it would be better for her. She sure hoped it would be. Now that she was done with that, she had some homework and studying to do. She didn’t feel like going up to the library to do it, or be cooped up in her dormitory either. She returned up to her dormitory to drop off her unneeded books. She then picked up her Transfiguration and Potions textbooks and put them into her bag before leaving her dormitory once more. Her destination was the courtyards since it was a nice day and she was sure that she could easily make herself comfortable there. She made her way through the corridors and down the main staircase towards the courtyards. As she neared the courtyards, she accidentally tripped over a raised stone and went flying forward.
She reached out to grab onto whatever she could to catch herself before she fell to the ground. "Oh no!" she said loudly as she felt her body falling to the ground. It had happened so fast so she hadn’t even seen what it was that she had grabbed onto. It was a hard surface, though it felt a bit lumpy and more like a body than a solid non animate object. Her momentum had been too much for her and she crashed into whatever it was that she had grabbed onto and started to fall to the ground anyway.

LIKE A STARTLING SIGN THAT FATE HAD FINALLY FOUND MEand your voice was all I heardTHAT I GET WHAT I DESERVE` ` ` ` ` ` ` ` ` ` ` ` ` ` ` ` ` ` Max had a good holiday. He got to spend some quality time with his family. They had traveled to France the first week and spent it in their vacation cottage. Max had a very large extended family, being related to the Weasleys and Potters through his mother's side by marriage. It was great that Easter break was mid month and not toward then end, because the full moon normally came at the end, and he'd be back at school for that. This past Easter was clear so he figured he could travel back home, and it would be fact to be around his family. He'd got used to hiding it over the long summers, always finding some excuse, or way to hide it. The only thing he really couldn't hide was his temperamental nature, though his mother just said it was his bipolar. Max decided he was grateful none of his family knew about his werewolf gene, but it was sad he had to avoid his uncle Bill, in fear he'd pick up on Max's scent. Max didn't want to be treated differently, and he feared social rejection. Something like being a werewolf, was not easily accepted amongst others, and he could only imagine if one of his cousins blabbed his secret to the school. Truth was he was glad to get back to school. Max was just starting to get moody and every little thing seemed to piss him off. It could only mean one thing, full moon week. Max had been back at school for about a week or so, but with the full moon so close he distanced himself from his loved ones.
Max walked the corridors to the Hospital wing, he hated the Wolfsbane potion but it was best to weaken him. Max was still a reckless werewolf when turning, he was still a pup as Luca Greyback put it. Max didn't dislike all werewolves he actually found acceptance amongst the pack. Ariana originally turned him, and was disowned from the Alpha for a bit. When decided it was uncontrolled they were both welcomed back into the pack, but Max always wondered during the Luna cycle. He didn't want to be seen with those other wolves it would give away his cover and he couldn't have that. It was bad enough he was bipolar, the thought of rejection would destroy him. Max wasn't like the Greyback kids, he was related to the famous wizarding families and it would just label him as a black sheep. Almost as bad as being placed in Slytherin house, if not worst. How to explain something like that to his mother? He was fawning over some girl, and she bit him cursing his very existence. There was a movie about a werewolf in New York, but Max didn't want to be that wolf. He was scared when he was home, always traveling to the suburbs to pursue transformation. All this for a snogging session? The worst part was, as much as Max hated Aria for what she did to him, it wasn't right for him to fully hate her, because she couldn't control it. Love, it was another thing he didn't understand, he found himself pushing her away every attempt she made to speak to him, but somewhere he looked forward to seeing her try. The sweet sting of rejection and Lycanthropy.
Max took his dose of Wolfsbane, choking down the horrid liquid. Max would also drink a whole lot when it came to it being close to the full moon. It helped him think, it helped him try to over come this curse. Thinking on that topic he had an enchanted flask with an endless supply of vodka. He's probably go drink lake side, it sounded like a good idea. Max walked the halls to the outside and he watched a small bird take off into the sky, and next thing he knew he was on his ass, wondering what happened. Max groaned looking down to the blonde girl that had fallen into his lap. Max cleared his throat, as if the Wolfsbane wasn't enough. "Aria." He said blankly, as he backed himself up getting to his feet. He reached down and took her hand, pulling her to her feet. Mood swing. "So as if turning me wasn't enough, you need to intrude on my coping time, by not paying attention and knocking me down more then I already am?" Max asked quirking an eyebrow. It was hard to stay mad at those eyes, so beautiful not needing a hint of make up. Ariana's natural beauty was one of the reasons he was attracted to her in the past. The beauty she couldn't see, he made known to her once upon a time. His mouth felt dry, and he never knew why he pushed her away so far, but it helped him. "Next time watch were you're going." Max growled, the clumsiness used to be cute to him. Yet now it was a sure reminder to him every time he saw her, that it was a curse as well.

When Aria had started to fall, her first instinct was to reach out and grab onto something. She was sure anyone in her position would do the exact same thing, so she didn't feel bad about that. She did, however, feel bad for grabbing onto someone and pulling them down with her. It wasn't their fault that she had tripped over a raised stone and fallen, but she couldn't just release them now, especially since her momentum had already been taken on by them and they were falling as well. She had no idea who it was that she had grabbed onto. It happened so fast, she didn't get a chance to actually look at them. An apology was ready to come out of her mouth once both bodies landed hard on the ground, but she stopped when she heard her name.
She knew that voice anywhere and she now had a sinking feeling in her stomach as she focused her gaze on the figure she had pulled to the ground with her. Maxwell Krum was looking at her with a look of disdain, one that made her feel so much smaller than she really was. She knew he was still angry for what she had done to him, even though she hadn't meant to do it, or had any control over it. She hoped he knew that, but she also knew how stubborn he was and that he wouldn't ever admit it to her either. He surprised her by taking her hand and helping her to her feet, and she found herself staring at his shoes because she wasn't sure she could bear to look at him. She hated seeing that look in his eyes; that look made her feel like the monster he thought she was.
She bit her lower lip and lowered her head even more when he said that she was knocking him down more than she already had since she changed his life forever. "I didn't mean to. It was an accident," she said meekly. And she that was the truth, but she was sure Max wouldn't care about that. she was pretty sure he wanted nothing to do with her anymore, even if she had unintentionally cursed him for eternity. "I-I'm sorry," he said as she lifted her head up and looked at him for the first time since she had stood up from the ground. "I never meant for-" she started, but stopped because she knew he didn't want to hear anymore apologies about that night, even if they were all sincere. "It won't happen again," she said softly, lowering her head once more. "I'll stay away," she said as she felt her heart beginning to sink.
