They say I look like, Frida Gustavvson But I don't really see it- - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - You don't know your beautiful: With wavy auburn hair that never sits straight Yvaine is hardly one that deals with her hair lightly, usually she goes to extreme lengths to make the long strands sit nicely. Her height is nothing remarkable, at 5’6 she stands at the shared average height amongst most of the girls at Hogwarts; however she does wish she was taller. Her frame isn’t anything to shout about either, due to her lack of womanly curves – which she’s sure are just waiting to grow in- Yvaine finds that most clothes – unless their fitted – tend to hang off of her and only feels comfortable when she’s out of her stuffy robes and dressed in her favourite pair of shorts or her favourite skater dress. The only redeeming features Yvaine finds solace in is her lips, she simply adores them. They’re big plump and just look oh so fabulous painted in a flattering a rouge. Her eyes while not incredibly startling or entrancing are fine enough for Yvaine, they sit an almond shape a light blue in colour mixed with green speckles.
What make me unique; Yvaine has a fiery and competitive nature and it infuriates her when she can’t master something straight away – which happens quite a lot ... namely it was one of the reasons her mother wouldn’t let her dad teach her quidditch. Her stubborn and reckless attitude has led to a few wordy confrontations with others. Though she’d hate to admit it Yvaine’s quite clumsy but of course in true Yvaine fashion, she refuses help, her independence is something she takes great pride in and she would hate the idea that she actually had to rely on someone else for once. While she doesn’t go as far to isolate herself from her peers – as she’s quite a social butterfly - she prefers helping herself out of messes, she doesn’t need someone to coddle her nor does she need some ego driven idiot with a notch list as long as their arm. With that in mind, she’s also quite cynical, unless you’ve made it to her friend list she’ll always second guess you, no one ever does anything for nothing.
Surprisingly however, Yvaine can in fact be quite loving; with a strong maternal edge and she tends to keep an eye on the younger students, or anybody younger than herself for that matter so if you ever bother any of Yvaine’s self claimed charges, well you better had prepare to feel her wrath! Though, she’s not as scary as she might seem in fact she’s quite friendly to those who treat her fairly. And she cares deeply for all her friends, and would stick by them no matter what. Her carefree nature often shines through her cynical shell, she isn’t dreamy by nature but once she gets an idea into her head she tends to run away with it and become an idealist. Scratching away at her surface would reveal a very sensitive person, she’s easily embarrassed and when she’s nervous she tends to babble away unexpectedly and quite uncharacteristically to those that don’t know her properly. As she’s still hurting from her parent’s bitter divorce, bottling her feelings comes second nature to her and while that isn’t entirely healthy, it is how she deals with her problems... She’s also very easy to embarrass especially when her naivety shines through and she can be quite naive.

Living the teenage dream,
Born to Elliot and Katy Emraude, Yvaine was born on a warm July day. Her mother was a muggle born while her father came from a pureblood family that held ties with the dark arts, though as far as she knows her father shunned those elitist beliefs. Her parents had a short whirl wind romance, mostly it consisted of Katy’s desperate need for affection and Elliot’s love of the chase; however it ended in marriage when Katy fell pregnant and Elliot being quite honourable in his younger day’s decided it would best for the two if they married.
Yvaine first showed signs of magic when she fell from the top banister in her house instead of falling with a clatter and shattering a few bones she bounced when she hit the marble floor and landed safely by the cupboard. Like all magical children on her eleventh birthday Yvaine received her Hogwarts letter, she was of course thrilled and couldn’t wait to meet other children like her. The first term came and her first year went as did the others, Yvaine settled in and found she loved Hogwarts.
It was during her summer after her third year when thing’s took a turn for the worst again, her father Elliot left. One morning Yvaine’s mother who had came home early from a training day at work caught him in bed with another woman, after a strongly worded and incredibly heated argument Elliot packed his bags and left. He didn’t acknowledge Yvaine at all when he left, which is what hurt her the most, it was almost as if he didn’t care about her and since that day she’s never spoken to him, this was also the day she lost any faith she had in romance and love.
After her father’s abandonment Yvaine began to read a lot of thick book’s written by angry muggle writers given to her by her mother. Germaine Greer, Angela Carter and Sylvia Plath replaced all her childhood books of fairy tales and romances, she felt it was time she grew up and rid the stupid idea that Princes existed. When she returned for her fourth year at Hogwarts her friends sensed the change, no longer as adventurous and carefree as she used to be Yvaine had become more focused on her studies.
The more she withdrew herself from the girl she used to be the more cynical she grew, she was still friendly but she just found that she couldn’t trust anybody properly anymore, they were only going to let her down eventually. Now in her sixth year Yvaine ready to buckle down and concentrate on her studies, she wants a hassle free year with no distractions especially since NEWTS are approaching fast, Yvaine wants to secure herself a good future.
