So naturally we allow special abilities on the site. However here are some rules to keep things in order. Anything you need to know is right here. Vampires Number one you can not change a student unless talked through with the admins. You must have approval, any other acts will give you vampire a one way ticket to Azkaban and you will no longer be able to use them in the wizarding world. Upon that your vampire will have a trail in front of the ministry and will be sentenced to death. There is no escaping the prison break the rule we pull out the stakes. & we are sure you didn't just write out that long application to have your character killed off.
No killing or or compelling professors. This is not tolerable.
Vampires are able to use compulsion to change the actions of humans. Please don't take advantage of this skill, seeing as vampires generally only use it with it is absolutely necessary. ie if a bar tender does not want to serve you a drink under age do not use this to have you way we ask you use this to a minimum if that can not be followed we will take away your vampire. Meaning delete him/her
Werewolf bite will kill a vampire, and this is not vice-versa. In history one was made to destroy the other however vampires always have strength, werewolves are only powerful on the full moon. Even in human form a bit can kill a vampire.
Resulting in immediate death, staking a vampire through their heart or extracting the heart will kill them instantly. No exceptions. A stake through the heart and they are fini.Vampires can not get humans pregnant. Unlike Twilight a vampire can not be born, nor can it be a human hybrid. To create a vampire they must be turned.
In order to turn into a vampire. You must to die with vampire blood in your system. You must then break the neck of the person after they have consumed the blood resulting in a New Born.
Vampires can drink blood from humans, animals and blood bags. Human blood is the most satisfying and gives them their full amount of strength, and animal blood keeps them sane but doesn't fully satisfy the cravings. Also consuming animal blood doesn't give the vampire the full strength. A vampire can survive for one week without blood without losing control of themselves. A vampire will never 'die' without blood, they will just go crazy and go into a decaying, comatose state and you wouldn't want that.
Vampires are able to go into the sunlight as long as they possess what is known as a daylight ring. Hogwarts will provide them for the students and professors. A daylight ring needs to be charmed by a witch and if the vampire takes it off during the day, they will be burned alive. Vampires have heightened senses. they can see things, hear things and feel things much more vividly than humans. meaning when they feel emotion, it is magnified. They are often very sexual people.
No cure for vampirism! If your a vampire you stay one until killed.
Werewolves Don't have to say it again, if a student kills or changes another and it is not plotted with the admins the character will be deleted. No ands ifs or buts.
Changing into a werewolf is a very painful process. Let's put it vaguely, it feels as if every bone in your body is breaking repeatedly all at the time time. It is not a quick, painless process at all. Werewolves will be sick for days before the transformation. Up to one week before transformation they will be weak and temperamental.
Transformations only take play during the full moon! This is not Twilight they do not change at will!
Similar to vampires, werewolves are very emotional and all their senses are heightened. Werewolves tend to be more aggressive than vampires, and when angered, can snap and become violent. They also have intense strength, so you don't want to get hit.
Werewolves generally only have control over themselves if they have taken wolfsbane potion, otherwise they have no control over themselves and will attack anyone due to blind rage.
Wolfsbane helps with the transformation. However it does does not cure lycanthropy, and the werewolf will still transform at a slower pace and will keep their human mind during the transformation. The potion makes them weaker and doesn't allow them to have their full strength once transformed. Wolfsbane will also burn a werewolf upon touching it. If a werewolf consumes pure wolfsbane potion, it would kill them. The type they consume to help them during the transformation is watered down.
To be a werewolf, you must either be born with the gene or bitten/ scratched by a werewolf in their wolf form. Not every child gets the gene in the family so if one of the generation skips it, that is totally fine.
There is no cure for lycanthropy.
Parseltongue A Parselmouth is a person who can speak to serpents. This ability is super rare, so not just anyone can possess the ability.
Parseltongue is hereditary, therefore it is not something that can be learned, it is something a person is born with.
It is believed only Dark Wizards can speak this language. Others in the wizarding words are highly judgmental of those who possess this ability. It is best to keep a secret. A lot of people with this trait keep quiet, or only share it with those they trust, such as family and friends.
Part-Veela Veela are normally women, but on Death Before Dishonor, we are don't mind bending the rules here and there, therefore we allow Part-Veela boys have all of the same traits as the girls. We try to play fair.
There are no full blooded Veela here, these part breeds, will only have some of characteristics of the race. So blankly, they will not turn into harpies when furious. Also they are not nearly as temperamental as their ancestors.
Part-Veela can be quarter, a third a half or possibly less. Just proving somewhere, a member of a magical family married a Veela. Veela never marry muggles, therefore they will come from pureblood or half blood families. (No muggleborn Veela)
Part-Veela characters are very alluring to the opposite sex. This cannot be turned off, and is ever present in their everyday lives. Just as simple as part of their appearance.
When Veela dance, it is hypnotic to men, and they often use it as a tool, to achieve their desires. This will be the same for any part-veela characters. It isn't as potent for part breeds, not the same effect a full Veela would have.
With all Veela powers the effects, will be dulled down to a degree.
Metamorphmagus
Is a witch or wizard born with the innate ability to change some or all of their appearance at will. The talent cannot be acquired; a witch or wizard who has it must be born with it. A parent must have this ability or the children will not have it.
Animagus
Is a witch or wizard who can turn into a particular animal or magical creature at will. This ability is not innate: it must be acquired by magical means. All Animagi must register at a central authority; it is illegal to obtain this ability without registering. Students must be at least fifteen to get this, it is something you really have to work for to learn you just can't say you have it after turning fifteen you have to take a class in school; then take the test that the Ministry gives for it.
Seer
Is a witch or wizard with the clairvoyant ability to predict future events. This ability is rare and must be in the family some how. Also Seers can only see into the future and depending on the persons age is how strong their visions are. Like if your character is fifteen to nineteen they would see something but the whole story would come in pieces.
Also always make sure to ask the other player you are writing with if it is okay for your seer to see something this cuts down on the god moding.
Legilimens
Detect lies and deceit in another person, witness memories in another person's past, or "plant" false visions in another's mind. Takes a while to learn so please make sure it is in your histories on the steps your character took to learn it.
Occlumens
Can compartmentalize one's emotions, or prevent a Legilimens from discovering thoughts or memories which contradict one's spoken words or actions. Takes a while to learn so please make sure it is in your histories on the steps your character took to learn it.
Part Mermaid
Ghosts Lets get this out of the way, there are NO hybrid ghosts.
Only magical beings can become ghosts, A ghost is the disembodied spirit of a once-living wizard or witch.
Most ghost have the ability to show their cause of death even in spirit form.
Many ghosts take up residence within Hogwarts Castle. This is the only place they can be played.
Ghosts are normally, whiny but most of the time friendly.
They enjoy company and can intrude through the walls and floors.
