Finally a break in time, everything at school seemed to be going well and when things were going smoothly that outlook on things always seemed to change. It was one of those random visits from his father yet he wasn't too thrilled with idea. Scorpius got dressed in normal clothes, it was a bit chilly this afternoon so a jacket and jeans were required. Finally his scarf and he was headed out of the common room. The owls delivered a letter stating he was too meet his father in Hogsmeade for bonding time. Bonding time? What was that anyways listening to his father boast about the past and talk of dark times? This wasn't him, he didn't want part of it yet he'd do it for his father's acceptance.
The halls of Hogwarts seemed to be filled with students in casual clothing gossiping about their upcoming days. The girls tend to giggle and whisper when he walked back and he shook his head. It was great being a Malfoy blessed with good looks and a charming personality he couldn't help to think. Scorpius exited the castle and set out for his journey. After some time he arrived stopping in the Hogshead for some lunch. To no surprise his father was early as usual. The conversation took place over lunch, his father commented about school and his normal rant about the Potter boys. Scorpius never knew why his father had such hate toward that family. Nor why he was so racist at times about muggle born children. After listening to that and faking some agreeing he got tired of it. There was so much hate to every statement so much hostility. "Listen can we talk about something else?" Scorpius asked he wasn't trying to be rude yet when his father snapped back he simply got up. His bid Draco a due and left him sitting there stumped.
The thing was he wasn't like his father nor his grandfather, so cold and heartless he just wanted to be himself. Plus the few butter beers had settled his mind for him to leave. It was time for more. Scorpius walked Hogsmeade til he came to the three broomsticks. Why not he thought entering the establishment. Scorpius walked to the bar and took a seat, he sweet talked the bar tender into giving him a shot of fire whiskey. Being a Malfoy he was quite known around town and often got his way. His mood was defeated what else could go wrong? Mind boggling as it was he couldn't help to over think the situation. Just leaving like that, he was sure to be scolded for it right? After a couple shots he went back to the butter beer. He was starting to feel warm yet it was nice. His blue eyes skimmed the premises and there she was. Rosine Lestrange, Scorpius put his hand up waving her over. She may have been a year ahead of him but he knew her from late night chats in the common room. It was surprise a Malfoy knew a Lestrange, the two were decent acquaintances but maybe that could blossom into a friendship today who knew. "What brings you here Rosine?" Scorpius asked ordering her a shot of her own. Hopefully she had her drinking hat on and she could hang for the day. "It'd be nice having some company." Scorpius admitted with a shrug.

[font=verdanaRosine had been looking forward to one of those rare days where she didn't actually have anything to do, and had all day to do it. She was usually so busy with classes, homework, quidditch, prefect duties, and whatever other outside project she was working on that a quiet day was almost unheard of. She should have known it was too good be true because sure enough just after breakfast one of her families owls had arrived on the window sill of her dorm with a note from her father. He needed her help with an associate who was refusing to see reason some deal he was tryng to push through at the ministry, not that Rosine really cared about the details. With a sigh she had dressed in preparation for a drink with a man who had no idea what was about to hit him. It was chilly outside so she pulled on dark wash skinny jeans that hugged her body in all the right places, a silver cashmere sweater, her favorite black peacoat and black leather stiletto knee high boots over her jeans finshed the look.
Rosine headed toward the three broomsticks at a quick pace as that is where her father had told her in the note she'd find her target. She caught the eye of a few other students making their way in the same direction, but as was her usual response she sent a coy smile in their direction and carried on her way without a word. She liked to keep people guessing, it made a fun game to play with people like that. Some may have called her a tease, but Rosine didn't care - she just liked to dangle people on the end of her string until they'd served their purpose to her and then she'd cut them off and move on to the next one.
Lost in her thoughts she made it to the broomstick and took a deep breath before pushing open the door with her head held high, dark eyes sweeping the interior until she spotted her target and a small smirk crossed her face. He was middle aged, balding, overweight, all in all an easy target. She shrugged out of her coat, draping it across her arm as she made her way over to his table, her hips swaying. "Mind if I join you?" she asked with a sweet smile as she pulled out the chair beside his without waiting for a reply and sat, her body angled toward his. She crossed her legs, allowing the tip of her boot to trail along his calf in the process before smiling at him and glancing up at him through her lashes, "So i'm underage, but i'd really like a drink - would you mind getting me one?" she asked quietly, her tongue darting out to run along her lips. It was a load of shit of course, yes she was underage but she was a Lestrange and had never been refused service in her life, but he didn't know that. She chuckled to herself as he jumped up so quickly he tripped over his own feet in his haste to go to bar and fufil her request. It really was too easy sometimes to sucker these poor fools in.
Less than an hour later and her job was done and she was looking forward to sending her father a reply owl to advise him to expect the signed contracts by urgent owl in the morning. She sighed and sat back in her chair, alone now that her 'date' had hurried off to do as he was told. She couldn't help but frown slightly, it really was too easy and she needed a challenge, but that was a problem for another day.
The hairs on the back of her neck prickled and she glanced around, unable to shake the feeling she was being watched. Her brown eyes met blue at the bar and a true grin spread across her face as Scorpius raised a hand, telling her to join him. She stood, picked up her jacket and bag and made her way over to him where she sat down once again, more relaxed now that she could just kick back with a friend. She'd known Scorpius her whole life and they'd always got along well, even though he was a year below her. "Just taking care of some business for my Father" she answered cryptically in reply to his question about her reason for being there, "What about you?" she asked as drank the shot Scorpius had ordered for her before gesturing toward the bartender to bring them another shot each and a butterbeers. She smiled at him, noticing not for the first time how handsome Scorpius seemed to have become but shaking off the thought as quickly as it had come, "Well, i'm all yours Malfoy" she said with a cheeky grin and a wink before frowning slightly. She was good a reading people, it was a highly useful skill, and if she wasn't mistaken Scorpius definitely looked like he had something on his mind, "You wanna talk about it?" she asked with genuine concern as she turned her full attention toward him.[/blockquote]

Scorpius was a lot of things but foolish was not one of them. Yes, his father raised him to be selfish and spoiled and maybe he was a bit rude with the way he treated others but deep down he knew he was different. Scorpius was well aware of the evil that was taking place inside the castle walls. It was hard enough the Potter family lost their father but now the dark side was trying to take out each sibling? Honestly he wondered how each of those students would feel without one of their parents. Yet they would never stop to think about that because they were so bloody brain washed with dark thoughts. It made him sick, he disliked it yet he was a part of it just because of the last name he was graced with. Of course he didn't do anything to prove his loyalty to the dark side but when it came down to it, he could play it off.
As Rosine joined him he offered a weak smile. "I figured as much, you ever think of thinking for yourself? Honestly your smart and beautiful, you should make your own decisions." Scorpius explained looking over the girl. Her brown eyes were beautiful indeed and she always had the scent of expensive perfume. As she inquired about his day he shrugged and sipped his drink. "Just told my father off, it felt real nice. I'm sick of feeling like a little minion robot who takes kind to orders and commands." The blue eyed boy explained letting out a sigh. Deep down he knew his father was just like him at a young age, destine to follow in the foot steps against the good side. It was a shame, he wanted to break that pattern. Even if he had a fancy manor and much to offer he didn't want his children to bare a negative reputation due to a placement or a surname.
"All mine huh, well I should consider myself lucky. it's not every day Rosine Lestrange clears her busy schedule of torturing the weak to have friendly conversation." Of course he was a bit sarcastic, but he knew deep down she was brain washed. Rosine needed to see it, and if no one else would help he would try his best. As young children he fancied her, thought she was great and a total cutie. Yet with all she was doing now a days they seemed to have drifted away from one another and it was sad sort of. "Well let me start by ordering you a drink." Scorp offered calling the waitress over for her to grab them each a fire whiskey. He slide the drink to Rosine and listened to her try to pry at his attitude. "I don't think you'd understand Rosine." Scorpius explained licking his lips for moisture. "If you really want to know I am having one of those rebellious moments. I don't want to be told what to do, and I refuse to take orders. It's not fun. I don't learn anything. Pointless, just simply a waste of time." Scorpius explained he was sure she'd know what he was talking about. His blue eyes crept up to meet hers. "Do you ever feel that way?" He asked quirking an eyebrow. "Ever have doubts..."

[font=verdanaWhat was with everyone lately? Rosine couldn't help but wonder as Scorpius made some crack about thinking for herself. He'd also called her smart and beautiful which made her smile, but that was quickly overshadowed by the words that followed it. Is that really what her thought of her? That she was just some mindless drone ready to do others biddings without question? Davin had basically implied the same thing, and Charlotte... It was really starting to piss her off. She expected it from her siblings though, but Scorp, not so much. "I so make my own decisions, and just so happened that I decided this was a good idea" she said in a whispered hiss, dark eyes glancing around the room to make sure no one was eavesdropping on their conversation.
She rolled her eyes as he went on, explaining that he'd just told his father off. She could just imagine Draco's face at his sons insolence, and yet here Scorpius was bragging about his daring rebellion against the family name, "you know you're smart and handsome, you ever think about thinking about someone other than yourself?" She questioned, perfectly manicured eyebrows raised as she turned his word back around on him. She couldn't imagine a situation where she'd ever be that disrespectful to her father - it wasn't how she was raised. She guessed that didn't necessarily count for much to some, but to Rosine that was very important and she was getting really tired of people judging her for it. A little minion robot? "Be careful what you say Scorpius, I wouldn't want you to end up in a situation you'd regret", she said sweetly, but the threat and anger flashing behind her brown eyes was all too real. It would be so easy for someone to overhear them in a public place like this and to report what they'd heard - she didn't like what Scorp was saying, but he'd been a friend since they were children and she didn't want to see him get hurt or be labelled a traitor.
He was really pushing her today and she could feel the anger bubbling up in her chest. "Better the weak than stupid boys who seem to have forgotten their place," she growled through clenched teeth, her temper flaring. Rosine prided herself on her control over her emotions, carefully learned over many years, but Scorp was really getting to her which did nothing but make her even madder. "Friendly conversation?" She scoffed at him, "fine, lets have a friendly conversation about what's got into you? What's your problem Scorp?" She asked through narrowed eyes.
She picked up the drink he ordered for her and downed it in one gulp, hissing at the welcome burn a the liquor hit the back of her throat. "How would you know what I would or wouldn't understand? Try me," she asked exasperatedly, losing patience with his holier-than-thou attitude. She listened intently as he explained his current state of rebelliousness and her chest constricted for him, "it's not a waste of time to work toward a common goal for a cause you believe in Scorpius," she said disdainfully as she returned his gaze.
She barely recognised the boy in front of her, and wondered how on earth that small boy she played with as a child had turned into this... They'd shared the same ideals back then, what had happened to make him this way? She couldn't allow it she knew, and knew she had to do whatever she could to remind him, "doubts? Honestly Scorp, sure sometimes." She said with a shrug, "you may think I'm a robot but I'm not, yeah sometimes I have questions, but then I realise that the answers don't matter. I have faith that I'm part of something bigger than just me, something I believe in," she paused to level him with a steely glare, "what do you believe in?" [/blockquote]
