Chloe really didn't spend much time at home over her holiday. She had her Christmas with her family enjoying every moment of it but when it was over she was eager to go back to school. The girl had an agenda for fun this year and she was going to live out her days enjoying her final year at Hogwarts. For a while she had wondered about her future, watching all her friends fall in love and date over the years but it wasn't for her. Chloe didn't really believe in love because most people judged her too quickly. She was a bit loud, and could be flirtatious but that didn't mean she was any of those things people called her. Only her true friends wouldn't judge her, yet she was even skeptical of that now a days with everyone drifting apart. Chloe hated thinking about the future, she was much more of a live the moment type princess and that might have been a down fall. She was wild and free and didn't like to set future goals for herself. This year she'd be leaving Hogwarts, this year she'd have to settle down and find a job. A lover even it was just over whelming stress. The small girl walked the streets of London enjoying the lights. Everyone seemed to be so happy it was finally New Years. With a new year came new resolutions but she hadn't a clue what she wanted to set for herself.
The small girl wore her New Years outfit walking the streets with confident. Her heels clicking on the cobble stones under her feet. Making her way to the Leaky cauldron she entered waving around to familiar faces. Chloe made her way to the the back and grabbed herself a hand full of flu powder. She tossed it into the fire place and spoke clearly her destination. Arrive at the castle he smirked. Who could she go pester? The hot grounds keeper was always a fun target. Ever since her fifth year she attempted to flirt with the boy. He was a seventh year when she met him and was now a Grounds keeper, oh how she loved those sweet, loyal ones.
Chloe walked the halls til she was finally outside. She strolled casually toward the ground keeper's hut. Hopefully he'd be there. The cold air made her shiver a bit but when she got to the small hut she knocked on the door placing her hand together rubbing them for warmth. At his opening the door she entered letting the heat from the room engulf her body. "Ricky, did you miss me?" She asked with cheeky grin. She wrapped her arms around his muscular figure and looked up wide eyed. "How were your holidays? Don't tell me you spend there here by your lonesome handsome." Chloe said faking a little pout. She walked over to the sofa and took a seat. "I know you have a drink or something to kick off this New Years eve. You my dear are my target for the night. I wanna watch the fire works and you can hold me from behind while we look up in wonderment." She said placing her hand on her head dramatically pretending to swoon. It was her nature to play along with love even if she was flirty. She awaited a response from the boy as she drank in his beauty. Wait, guys could be beautiful right? Chloe smirked at her inner thoughts and removed her black peacoat placing it on the arm of the sofa.

New Years eve had come again, the start of another year. Ric had spent the day working away taking the chance while most of the students were gone for the holidays to get a lot of small jobs done around the place. There were jobs like repairing courtyards and walkways etc that were hard to achieve when the grounds were buzzing with people. It was dull work for sure, just walking around looking for cracks in the ground and then fixing them, but it had to be done. It was early evening when he finally gave up, the setting sun no longer providing enough light to see what he was doing properly.
He made his way back to his small home, greeting his enthusiastic dog with a pat as he entered, "Hey buddy - you been a good boy today?" he asked as he filled Drake's bowls with meat and water. Some people would probably think him nuts for how he spoke to the dog, like he was a flatmate rather than a canine companion, but as far as Ric was concerned his 4 legged housemate was one of his best friends in the world, so why shouldn't he talk to him? Stripping off his sweaty clothes he threw then toward the hamper in the corner of the bathroom before jumping in for a shower, the warm water relaxing muscles tensed from a long days work.
Once out of the shower he made his way to his dresser and gazed into the drawers with a frown - he had no idea what he was doing tonight, so what should he wear... It was New Years so he had to find something to do, even if he just ended up at a bar in Hogsmede. Resolved, Ric quickly dressed in dark denim jeans & a tight black t-shirt. He was trying to decide what dress shirt he should wear when he heard a knock on his door. He frowned, wondering who on earth that could be as he made his way to the door, flinging it open to see none other than Chloe Macdonald standing at his door looking as tempting as sin itself.
He couldn't help but run his blue eyes from the top of her beautiful brunette head, to the tip of the toes incased in shoes that made her legs like a mile long. He swallowed the moan that threatend to erupt from his chest and schooled his features into what he hoping was a nonchalant expression as he stood back holding the door open for her. Chloe was a great girl and they'd always got along well, though he wondered what on earth she was doing visiting the school Groundskeeper on New Years eve instead of going out with her friends.
As she entered the room her arms wrapped around him and he couldn't help but return the gesture. She was so tiny in his arms as he held her, it made him feel protective in ways he had no right to feel about a student - even if she was only 2 years younger than him and already a legal adult in the eyes of the law. He felt bereft once the hug ended and he kicked the door closed, all plans of how he was going to spend his night instantly abandoned, "Course I missed you Chlo, my place looks so much better when you're in it!" he said with a teasing grin. It wasn't a lie though, the sight of her sat on his couch really did make the whole place look a million bucks in his eyes. "Nah, I do have a Mother and Grandparents who like to see me at least once a year" he said, his heart thumping as she called him handsome but he didn't respond outwardly to the endearment. He adored his Mother and Grandparents and getting to spend a couple of days at home in Nottingham with them for Christmas had been amazing. "How bout yourself beautiful?" he asked, inwardly cursing at himself for the slip of the tongue that had him returning her earlier compliment - inappropriate Ric! he scolded himself internally.
He frowned at her words but turned to open a cabinet where he quickly pulled out a full bottle of firewhisky and 2 glasses before he made his way over to her. He put the bottle and glasses down on his coffee table before pouring a couple of fingers into each glass. He took a seat in an armchair on the opposite side of the table facing her as he studied her, trying to decide if her suggestion of how they spent their evening was even remotely serious. The trouble was, Ric had always been, and always would be, a bit of a romantic so to him that actually sounded amazing, but once again his inner conscious had to pipe up and remind him that she was a student and he couldn't go there. Now that wasn't to say Ric was solely a wine and chocolates kind of guy, oh no, he had his fair share of hook-ups, casual things & one-nighters, but he was always looking for more, he just hadn't found a girl he wanted it with yet.
The silence seemed to have lasted forever but actually couldn't have been more than a minute or so before he finally smirked at her, touching the rim of his glass to hers, "I think this night is going to be a hell of a lot more interesting than anything i'd planned on doing before you knocked on my door Miss Macdonad" he said, raising an eyebrow at her as if in challenge before he downed the rest of his drink and poured another, "Now, in the interest of communication, perhaps you'd better tell me what being your 'target' for the night entails? I'd hate to disappoint you by not living up to expectations" he said with a smirk, the innuendo of his statement hanging in the air between them. [/blockquote]

The girl was glad to hear he missed her as well, and his flattery was sweet this she couldn't deny. "Oh you think so Ricky, I think we could doll it up put some pink or some zebra print furniture around. That might help. Whatcha think?" She teased winking at him. "Or I can just spend a whole lot more time here making it look naturally beautiful." Chloe mused knowing it was impossible for her to being a student and all. It was a holiday therefore all the professors and staff were occupied with things around the castle. This was a great reason for her spend time with Ric, she wouldn't dare put his job in jeopardy. Chloe was smart and sly she knew that whole castle this current day. If she didn't she wouldn't always be in detention for cutting class. If Chloe knew anything about the Greyback pack was they didn't fancy their father therefore when Ric didn't mention him it came to no shock to her. It was cute he spent time with his mommy though a family oriented type of guy. Gosh he kept getting hotter by the moment. Chloe thought for a moment about his question. "I guess I just go home for a bit, you know? Cook for my dad help with the tree and after Christmas I leave. They don't really care about me, my family and all them. They say I'll be in Azkaban before I graduate. I hate being around downers." Chloe admitted shrugged as if it didn't bother her one bit, and truth be told she had heard a lot worst therefore she never cared about anyone assumptions.
Chloe got to her feet and took the glass off the table sipping it before smirking at the burning sensation that creeping down her throat. Her heels clicked on the wooden floor as she strolled over to him stooding her weight shifted to one side. Chloe ran her fingers through his dirty blonde hair. She felt alone on the other side of the room and she couldn't have that. His words caused her to grin and she nodded. "Of course things will be interesting. Fun's my middle name." She said looking into his blue eyes capturing his gaze deep withing her brown ones. "My target. You sure you want to know what that entitled Rick. I don't think you can handle it darling." She teased sipping her drink walking around a bit thinking about it herself. The girl wasn't prepared for that kind of question. Chloe reached into her pocket and pulled out her lip gloss giving herself a fresh coat of pink and she walked over to the window closing the curtain. Then she would strut over to Ric and crawl into his lap. The girl couldn't deny she enjoyed teasing and being sexy and with no one around what did it matter? "My target gets to drink, cuddle and have fun with me. We don't think before we act, don't look before we leap. Nothing but spontaneous fun, we can talk about whatever and the big one. You don't treat me like a student for tonight." Chloe mused running her finger nails along his neck lightly. She gave him big pouty hazel eyes hoping it would add to breaking down any objecting he could do at this point.

Ric couldn’t help the carefree laugh that came out at the vision of his small bachelor pad covered in pink and zebra print. He could just image the looks on his friends and siblings faces when they came to visit, they’d be horrified. Though likely no where near as ill as he’d be having to live in it and look at it every day. He glanced over at Drake who had curled up and gone to sleep in his bed in the corner of the room and was pretty sure Drake would refuse to come inside if that was the color scheme in here. The teasing wink she sent his way made his breath catch in his throat and he nodded, sending a dimpled grin in her direction, “Oh yeah? That idea I could definitely get used to,” he said without thinking. His mouth was really going to get him in trouble tonight, he seemed to have lost all ability to filter his words around her.
His smile was sad as she told him how she’d spent her Christmas, “Doesn’t seem right that someone as pretty as you didn’t have anything but a truly magical Christmas,” he whispered his blue eyes conveying his sincerity at his words. He couldn’t help the flare of anger deep in his soul at how this amazing girl in front of him was treated by her family and that surge of protectiveness showed itself again. It was a strange feeling, a need to wrap her up in his arms and make sure nothing or no one ever hurt her ever again, and that included her pathetic excuse for a family, “I learnt a long time ago that just because you share DNA with someone, doesn’t necessarily make them family,” he said as he reached out instinctively to brush a rogue piece of hair off her cheek, tucking it behind her ear. He got it, that resentment, and it saddened him that she had that burden on her as well.
Ric swallowed as Chloe stood and moved to stand beside him. His blue eyes followed her movements and he felt the tension in the room increase as her hand came up and she ran her fingers threw his hair. He couldn’t help the groan that bubbled out from deep within his chest, her touch felt so good. “Fun huh?” he said, missing the feeling of her fingers in his hair immediately, “more like temptation” he finished in a mumble under his breath as she moved to stand by the window. He’s eyebrows raised and he smirked at her as she pulled the curtains closed. He was struggling to remember why this was a bad idea. “Oh I’m sure I can handle anything you’ve got baby girl,” he said in challenge, knowing even as the words came out of his mouth he was crossing a line, but struggling to care.
Ric reclined in his seat, his gaze raking over her body as she stutted over to him, arranging herself on his lap. He wrapped one arm around her back, and placed he other over her legs, locking her body close to his. His heart beat faster than normal in his chest, her words washing over him like silk setting every nerve on fire. He should say no, he should pick her up and move her back to her own seat, he should tell her that this was a bad idea even though it felt so incredibly right, he should remind her that he was staff and it was against the rules…. But then her nails ran along the tense muscles in her neck and he moaned, his fingers running up her thigh in response. His gaze was dark as he caught hers, before dropping to her lips, “Just for tonight,” he whispered in agreement, “You, Chloe, are a very dangerous creature,” he groaned, his voice husky before he leaned in a brushed a barely there kiss across the pulse point in her neck, his large hands gripping her tightly against him. . Her green eyes danced around the room, it did need a hint of a feminine touch. Nothing too extreme but maybe some plants would liven up the place. Chloe wondered what it was really like to move in with a man and choose a color scheme. It must have been fun, decorating and painting. The things couples would do when painting. Totally be cute and dab some paint on each others cheeks and what not. The girl sighed slightly in her small dream state and looked to the closed window. She wondered if Ric actually liked living in such a small area, she would feel trapped. The girl was too wild and free to be locked in such a small area for a long. If her anxiety didn't get her her hyperactive nature would. When Ric confirmed she would be a nice tough she giggled and scrunched her nose cutely. "You'd like that too much. Yet I think you'd be highly paranoid Mister." She stated. Ric was always a bit uptight when she was around, she could never blame him for it yet she did feel the tension. Chloe hated that she was younger then him and he was staff but who cared she liked him a lot and no school was going to hold her back even if she had to keep her mouth shut for once in her life.
Chloe batted her eye lashes and listened to his flattering words. "Well someone as pretty as me doesn't really care for the holidays. I think they have gone commercial and it defeats the purpose of spending time with loved ones when your surrounded by material." Chloe explained with a shrug she brought her hand up to his jawline tracing it with her finger tips lightly. His icy blue eyes always captured her gaze and she refused to look him directly in the eyes at times. Chloe was odd when she had actual feelings she didn't want them to be known therefore when looking into Ric's eyes she felt like he could see right through her. Deep down she had nothing to hide. Chloe was an open book, always the girl no one wanted to spend time with, no one wanted to actually commit to but the sad thing was she was okay with it. Of course in her younger years it hurt to watch Emma and Molly actually have guys that cared for them but she put up an emotional wall to protect herself. As the girl grew older she didn't let it effect her or so she thought. Now she was terrified to actually extract feelings for others, in fear she would become weak like in her past.
"Your right handsome, you don't need to be related to be family either. I have a handful of friends that I'd much rather spend my life with." The girl has never inquired much on his family life, she knew his dad was a death eater but she'd never judge him for it. It wasn't Ric's fault he was handed those cards, it was fate and she knew him to be strong from it. Ric was perfect even with his last name she knew this for sure. At his questioning fun she smirked. "Temptation is so yummy, where's the thrill in life if you live with question?" She asked taking his hand and placing them on her sides. She lead them down her curves slowly stopping at her hips. Chloe closed her eyes and bit her bottom lip sexy. The tension was a different kind now as she slowly opened her eyes. "Temptation is there for a reason Ricky." Chloe explained leaning in trailing kisses down his jawline.
Soon she was capturing his words and a smile crossed her lips. "You say only for tonight, but deep down you wish it never had to end." She whispered feeling his lips on her next. She purred softly and brought her hand to the back on his neck. Her soft lips were brought to his ear and she whispered allowing her warm breath to heat his neck. "I think you only consider me dangerous because your more curious then ever to find out, how dangerous I really can be." She mused leaning in nibbling in his earlobe a sucking lightly before pulling away and resting her forehead on his. If he wanted to be a tease she could too right?

Ric couldn't help but frown as she jokingly pointed out that he'd like her being around too much and would become paranoid. He knew she was kidding, but it was a moments like this that he wondered if she could see through to his soul. To him, yeah her being around sounded pretty damn good, but she was right too - he had no claim on her so he would be some jealous, needy version of himself that he didn't like even when it was only theoretical. She had not idea the power she had over him, one that he'd been fighting for 2 years - ever since a fateful day in his 7th form year when he'd last succumbed to her. He had refused to let himself think about that and the way her mouth felt on him in so long, but here and now with the intensity building in the small room those long suppressed memories where making themselves known and it would seem certain parts of his anatomy remembered better than he would have liked. Realizing he hadn't answered her he cleared his throat, "Yeah i think you're right, I might decide you're far too nice of an accessory to let go and just tie you to my sofa so you can't leave..." the words were meant to be teasing, but the image of her tied up for him had him inwardly cursing at how bad he suddenly wanted to do exactly that, and wondering if she'd be into it. That line he'd fought so hard not to cross for 2 damn years was beginning to look more and more like a dot in the distance he'd gone so far past it tonight.
He tilted her head and studied her as she explained her view on Christmas as he tried to decide if she was speaking the truth, or just a lie that she'd created to protect herself from a lifetime of shitty Christmases. Her fingertips dancing across his jawline had him inhaling a shaky breath as he searched her eyes. He wasn't sure if what she said was the actual truth, or if it was just a line she'd been using so long she'd convinced herself it was the truth. Either way didn't really make much difference but he found himself making an internal promise that one day he'd show her what Christmas was really about - family, friends, great food, drinks, and just a day filled with love and comfort. It scared him a little how badly he found himself wanting to give that to her and let the subject drop, afraid that if he opened his mouth he'd embarrass himself by doing something illogical like begging her to spend next Christmas with him. He had no right to ask that, as much as he wanted to... although she wouldn't be a student any longer by then so who knew what was possible.
He nodded his agreement at her words, preening a little as she called him handsome yet again, the small amount of resistance he still had disappearing before his eyes. He knew the friends she meant and he agreed with her, they seemed like a tight bunch and it pleased him to know that she had people like them to look out for her when he couldn't, "They seem like a good people, your friends..." he said conversationally, as thoughts of his own friends entered his head - he really needed to catch up with them soon, it'd been too long. All thoughts of anything but the girl currently on top of him exited his head as Chloe illustrated the benefits of temptation in such a way that started a fire burning within him that he struggled to control. She guided his hands along the curves of her wasit and he marvelled at the feel of her body beneath his hands, wishing with every fibre of his being that her shirt would magically disappear so he could feel the softness of her skin. Large hands, calloused from manual labor, came to a rest on her hips and he squeezed her briefly. She opened her eyes and he could see the same intensity burning in their depths as he knew would be reflected in his own. He groaned as he leaned in, her lips living a trail of fire that seemed to be directly connected to his lower regions in their wake as she kissed along his jawline. "I can resist everything except temptation" he whispered, quoting some muggle author he'd heard once. It seemed fitting for the occasion as he knew he was done for - 2 years of fighting for restraint, 2 years of not remembering the last time they'd headed down this path before he'd graduated and taken on a staff role making anything further between them forbidden, gone. And right at the moment he couldn't bring himself to think anything but, 'about fucking time'. His hands gripped her hips for forcefully, moving her closer to his body as he pressed her against him. He pressed his lips against the exposed skin of her neck and collarbone, nipping slightly before soothing with lips and tongue. He knew he'd only promised her tonight, but at some point he'd accepted that he'd always wanted more than that and began to question how long he'd been subconsciously waiting for her to graduate. He was sure that come tomorrow he'd probably feel differently, but right then he figured that she was 7th year now so it wouldn't be long before she graduated, surely they could keep a secret until then right? The thing was about werewolves, once they find their mate, thats it and he began to think about things in a new light - could it be that that night 2 years ago was so amazing because she was destined to be his? "Maybe, but tonight will do for now," he growled out, not wanting to scare her off by admitting the truths he was slowly starting to realize. She was only kidding around he was sure, so for now at least he'd continue that banter. Tomorrow could wait, figuratively and literally.
Her lips on his ear as she whispered words that made him want to loose control was a heady feeling. He was putty in her small hands, a feeling that both terrified and aroused him, "Oh i have no doubt that you're completely lethal" he said as he hissed in a breath, pressing his body into hers in response to her words, "I just hope I survive the night" he said, his eyes boring into hers as she rested her forehead against his. Blue eyes flittered down, taking in her plump lips and nothing in the world could have stopped him in that moment from moving his head the fraction of an inch it took to capture her lips with his own. Their was nothing gentle in his kiss, it was heady and passion filled right from the start as his need poured out of him. After a moment he pulled back, his breathing heavy, "Damn" he whispered huskily, a smirk crossing his features, "Remind me why i made us wait so long to do that again? Because right now any reason i had seems to pale in comparison to how amazing that felt." his hand slid up her back, coming to rest at the nape of her neck before he drew her in again, his lips devouring hers hungrily.[/blockquote]
