You don't know your beautiful:

Lysander looks exactly like his twin down to the hairs on their heads and in turn they are spitting images of their fathers. Despite Lysander’s strong disposition to certain aspects of his mother in personality he is nothing like her in looks. Tall and lanky Lys stands at 6 foot six inchs with hair he can't be bothered to fuss about with and a surprisingly still intact set of pearly whites. Despite his adventurous nature and need to put himself in situations where bodily harm is imminent the only scar he bares is self inflicted. It is on his left thigh and the long and jagged mark was made in a moment of delusion so that he could forever tell if anyone had ever switched his brain into Lorcan's body. Otherwise much like his twin is skin is smooth without the slightest trace of marks or bumps.

What make me unique;

Lysander is an open book. He’ll tell anyone anything, much to the chagrin of Lorcan, at any given time simply because the mood struck him to do so. He is a child of whims acts out just however he pleases. Having no filter of course has its drawbacks but when people shout at Lysander he just doesn’t get it. He’s the consummate friend. Forever upbeat and loyal no matter what the situation. It seems as if he simply just never learned how to lie to people. What you see is what you get with Lysander.

Lysander is a romantic at heart though and the only time he manages to keep his garrulous ways at a minimum is when he is actually around someone he likes. Even then the filter stays off and he usually just ends up embarrassing himself. He tends to ramble on about things his mother told him that may or may not be true also seeing her as the be all and end all of knowledge. More over like his mother he doesn’t let other people bother him and just goes with the flow of things. No point in make noise when none need be made. He doesn’t react well to intensive criticism though and is prone to private breakdowns when it has been done excessively.

Adventurous as Lys is he finds himself interested in the more practical hands on magics than the technical side. He excels in classes like Herbology and Care of Magical Creatures but struggles viciously in subjects like Charms and Transfiguration. He also finds it tricky trying to get out of any situation that he can’t talk his way out of, not that he’s overly fond of conflict as it is.

Living the teenage dream,

Some people getting together just makes sense in the end. Which is why when Luna Lovegood and Rolf Scamander found each other in a jungle searching for the same creature, Dabberblimps, it made perfect sense that they hit it off. Being magic naturalists from that point on they combined their respective work and their own relationship blossomed forth from this. It was really no surprise that two ardent magic naturalists ended up marrying each other after only three years. What was a surprise was that the boys came so soon afterwards. They did come though and the twins did not come quietly.

Lysander and Lorcan came barreling into the world shortly after the New Year had sprung. They were late and Lysander came out first like a shot while Lorcan took his sweet old time. It seemed that even in birth the two would set the dynamic of their relationship. When Lorcan finally did come and they did manage to make it out of the hospital it was into a very loving home. His grandfathers success had left Rolf rather well off so the children wanted for nothing and spent their childhood running around with their parents, and new baby sister a year later, or at home with their ever amusing grandfather Xenophilius. Not that they preferred one of another it was after all a good life.

Like all children though they showed tell-tale signs of things to come. Lorcan and Lysander where thick as thieves and both doted on their baby sister but it was obvious that they had very different personalities. While they both shared their parent’s adventurous nature, interest in creatures, and creativeness, Lorcan was far more serious and Lysander was just passive. Lysander never worked hard to impress anyone or at anything at all really and was more than happy to simply just go with whatever was occurring at the moment. Whereas Lorcan poured over books and chased down every interest he had with fervor. The only thing identical about these two twins was their looks.

Lys never seemed to pick up on this though and even when his brother raises his voice or makes it obvious that he is angry at him for his actions he just doesn’t get it. Which is why when they were sorted Lys was a bit bummed that the twins were split up where as Lor was quite pleased. Lys of course managed making the best out of a bad situation and embraced his house mates as if they were his family. How they took this is still unawares to him as Lysander doesn’t really care.

Since coming to Hogwarts Lysander has gotten into trouble for everything from his inability to keep his mouth shut to wandering around the castle when he shouldn't be. It isn't that he tries to be a troublemaker he just gets bored and is fairly curious. He only enjoys the classes he excels in and as a result spends a far amount of his time out on the grounds migrating between the Greenhouse and anywhere that has any plant or wildlife that he can soak in and examine. Even though he knows the grounds fairly well he still explores them on the regular.

A rift has developed between the twins and now in their sixth year it does seem to be coming to a head. Lys is unawares to this of course despite the urgings of his sister to just leave Lorcan alone and give him some space. After all they’re twins, why shouldn’t they be close? Lys sees Lorcan as his best friend but of course this is probably also due to no one else hanging around him for more than five minutes at the time. The real question is if the brothers will survive the year.
