- - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - Brigitte wasn't just going to stay in the Ravenclaw all day no, she was going to go out no matter how much she disliked the spring. The allergies, the bugs, the new hope toward love. Spring was all together the season of change, she did like the flowers but the sneezes and puffy eyes were not cutting it. This is why she sat in the hospital wing waiting for a potion that would help her get through the season. The pollen was horrible in the spring, Brigitte did like the flowers and even more she enjoyed taking Piper outside to hop around. Piper was her true friend, she had bonded with the little brown rabbit back in first year. She never grew too much, but she was well fed. Brigitte's blue eyes looked over the cage, awaiting the healer. How awful it must have been to be trapped in such a device. Brigitte knew Piper was a free spirit, much like herself, so it was about time to let her out to exercise her freedom.
When the healer returned she took the potion, the after taste causing her to scrunch her nose. There was always a price to pay. Brigitte shoved a stick of gum in her mouth and made her way outside ready to embrace the afternoon. She carried the cage out to a spot on the lawn. Brigitte looked around for a moment to make sure everything was safe, before letting Piper out to roam freely. She opened the cage and pet the rabbit gently allowing her to have her share of blossoms. Brigitte smiled watching the little creature but she looked up to see Frankie walking toward her. She grinned waving at him. He certainly looked happy for once, it was an improvement since the last time she had talked with him one on one. "Bonjour Magnifique." She greeted hoping he was here for more then just a greeting. "Sit, enjoy ze sun with me Frankie?" She asked tugging at his hand so he would sit. "You're all smiles today, you have come to bring me good news I hope?" She asked, weather it was about love, life or school work, she just hoped he was doing well. "Comment allez-vous?" She asked, forgetting she and Frankie were doing this thing were they spoke English. It was a pain sometimes, but she had gotten better at it. It was fun when they could communicate when no one else would understand. Great for laughs and such.

- - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - -What a lovely day, Frankie thought to himself as he looked out the window of his dormitory. The sun was shining and the temperature was all too inviting and Frankie was more than ready to spend a bit of time outside today. He’d love to spend a bit of time with Albus today, though he was certain that his boyfriend was to be busy studying or helping some younger student with their studies. The end of the year tended to make Albus a bit more serious when it came to his studies and Frankie was okay with that. If anything, he’d send the Slytherin an owl asking to meet with him later. He was sure they would both enjoy a bit of alone time, especially after a few long and grueling days pouring over homework and studying. We could all use a break, right?
He made his way down from the Ravenclaw common room and outside through the courtyards. He wasn’t exactly sure what he was going to do outside, but he just felt the need to be outside. Once he was out into the open air, Frankie’s eyes rested immediately on Brigitte and he couldn’t help but smile in her general direction. She was his female best friend and the two talked about pretty much everything. She was the only person to have known about his crush on Albus and she had been the one he talked to about what happened that night in the student lounge and how to handle it. He had not handled it in the best way, but he had been scared then, and unsure of exactly how to deal with such a situation. Eventually, she managed to get him to get his shit together and, now, the rest is all in the past.
“Bonjour,” he said to her in their native French tongue as he approached and she greeted him. She told him to sit and enjoy the sun with her and he nodded before he lowered himself down onto the grass beside her. He smiled wider at her when she told him that he was all smiles and even said that she hoped he was there to bring her good news. “I am very well,” he said to her in French after she asked him how he was in their native tongue. “And, yes, I guess you can say I have some good news for you,” he said to her with a smile. He had yet to tell her about Albus, but he was sure that she had noticed or figured it out by now. Still… “Albus and I are dating, and I haven’t been this happy in a long time,” he told her with a smile. he knew she would be happy about this news.

- - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - Brig hadn't intended on spending her day with anyone besides Piper. The small rabbit enjoyed landscaping the area, and eating the small flowers that had blossomed. Brigitte could have grown easily bored, watching but she choose to let Piper have this small amount of joy. When she noticed Frankie, she had been happy to share her day with him. He wasn't just someone she got to see everyday. He was more reserved then her, and while she'd live her party, he'd be practicing quidditch. This didn't mean she didn't go cuddle with him, a couple nights of the week. Just not as of recently. Brigitte had been busy trying to un-write seven years of wrongs and get on her professors good sides. It wasn't an easy task, and it was rather time consuming.
The last time she saw Frankie she tried to convince him that things were going to be fine between him and Albus. She wasn't one to really hook up with her close friends, but anything was possible with some alcohol. Brig just knew that they'd be fine. There was a certain ora they brought about when they were together. Brig didn't really like Albus, she thought he was a bit snobbish when it came to the way he spoke, and constantly corrected. If he made Frankie happy, and brought the boy to have such a big crush on him, little Potter had to be doing something right. As Frankie joined her, she smiled watching Piper hop over and sniff him. When he confirmed he was very well she quirked an eyebrow. Frankie wasn't a negative person, but for him to be very well there had to be something he wanted to share.
After confirming he had good news, she anticipated what he'd tell her. It could have been anything, but his words brought a smile to her lips. "Do I say i told you so, now or later?" She mused. She had told Frankie everything was going to be okay, and suddenly she felt a warm feeling just watching him smile. She felt a little giddy for him, but it wasn't Brig to just fan girl over the thought of love. If Frankie was happy, she was happy, she just couldn't squeal or scream. "How did it happen, Frankie?" Brigitte asked, she liked to hear gossip and she loved more that it was positive, and her male best friend was the topic of conversation. She knew they were going out on dates, but dating as boyfriends was a whole different topic. "I'm happy for you, did you guys have sex yet? When can I plan the wedding?" She mused with a wink, she knew Frankie wasn't that innocent, and she was a bit nosy. Why the heck would he be dating Albus if the boy didn't put out? It was beyond her.
Brig was a very blunt person, hardly into romance. She just needed to know more, as she laid back in the grass looking at the sky. "This is really good news, maybe now you don't need to involve yourself in so much quidditch practice, this will be healthy for you." Brigitte said, she knew Frankie was hurt when finding out about the Dearborn boy, and the thought of Al chasing other boys. It seemed Frankie pushed away his own feelings when Albus was trying to find happiness, and to see Frankie happy for once in the process, brought her peace.

- - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - -“You don’t have to say it all,” he joked. Frankie knew that as soon as he told Brigitte that he and Albus were dating she would tell him ‘I told you so’ because, whether he liked to admit it or not, she was right. He had fretted over the whole idea for about a week after they had crossed a serious line the night of the masquerade ball. At first, Frankie had been unsure of what had happened between them, though not in terms of the specifics. He knew what happened physically between the, but everything else had been hazy and obscure to him, and he was beyond confused by what it all meant. The reason why he had been so confused about that night though was the fact that they had been heavily inebriated. Frankie hadn’t been sire if it was the alcohol talking, or if it had all been real. After a week, Frankie learned the truth and he and Albus began slowly walking down the road towards a relationship.
Like he expected, she asked him how it had happened and he smiled and blushed a little, running his fingers through his hair before he started to tell her all about it. “well, it started with a trip down to Hogsmeade. We got a drink and then we went to Dominic Maestro’s so I could get a new a-string, since mine had popped off the night before while I was working on a song,” he told her as he shifted his position. “after that, we went into the bookshop so Albus could look at the new arrivals, if there were any, and then we had dinner at the pub,” he said. “there had been an open mic session that night, and Albus had asked me to play, so I did. I got up and performed the song I was writing for him and I made him blush, or at least it looked like it from the stage,” he told her. “And then I asked him as we made our way back up to the castle if he'd be my boyfriend,” he finished.
Brigs had then started asking him if they’d had sex yet and if she could plan the wedding and Frankie found himself blushing even harder. “No, we have not,” he told her in regards to them having sex, “but it will happen when we’re both ready for it, and not any sooner,” he told her with a definitive tone. He wasn’t trying to rush sex and Frankie was confident that it would come when they were both good and ready. “And it may be a bit early for you to be talking about a wedding, Brigs. We’ve only been together a short while. The last thing I want to do is jinx it,” Frankie told her, though he was very hopeful that things worked out between the two best friends. He was sure she was kidding anyway with her questions, but he didn’t want to leave any of it to her own imagination because he was sure she’d have the colors and location already picked out by their next meeting.
He knew Brigitte was a very blunt and direct person, one of the things he loved most about her, aside from the French in her, of course. Sometimes though, she could be a bit too direct and cause someone to blush or get flustered, which is what she was doing to him now. When she asked if this would mean he wouldn’t busy himself so much with Quidditch practice, he gave her a surprised look. “I’m not that bad with practicing,” he told her, even though he was sure that he did practice a bit too much. He practiced even without the rest of the Ravenclaw team. He loved the game and enjoyed flying, so he didn’t really see it as a bad thing. “Well, I probably won’t practice as much as I do now, but I don’t want to let up either,” he told her. “Besides, when there is no more Quidditch for the year, all of my time will be his… unless, of course, you fight him for some Frankie time,” he joked with a wide grin.

- - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - She was more then thrilled to find out that Frankie had finally gotten what he wanted. It was depressing to see him keep such, a secret and at times she tried her best to talk him up to telling Albus his feelings. Brigitte was sure that they had a lot in common, or they wouldn't be such good friends. Plus dating someone who was your at home, neighbor had it's perks. If the two boys survived being friends living so close, they could certainly be more. Brig wasn't sure how their parents would react, but she knew Frankie's parents were very accepting of him. She didn't know the Potters like she knew the Greenes, but she was sure from their fame, they were good people as well. Brigitte couldn't imagine what would happen if things went bad between Frankie and Albus, she knew Frankie'd be a mess and she'd have to fix him. The negative thought caused her to look off for a moment, and he mentally convinced herself that she didn't want to jinx it, but it was only her to voice her concern. "I'll kill him if he hurts you, but I'll give him ze benefit of the doubt, to handle you with care, because zat is what you'd want me to do." Brigitte told her friend. Frankie knew she wasn't fond of Albus, but that was expected when the little git had tried to correct her in the past. When two people were independent, boastful, and free spirited, sometimes things would clash, but at least Frankie had two good friends, even if they didn't all get along. This was nice because when he had an issue, he could always have someone there to talk to, and maybe one would understand more then the other.
Brigitte smiled as she laid back listening to Frankie tell her all about, how the date with Albus happened. It seemed cute. "You my friend, are hopeless and cheesy. You make it seem like love is this beautiful thing. You deserve to be happy Frankie, I'm glad for you." Brigitte said. Love wasn't for some people, and she never trusted a man with her feelings. Naturally she dated, and had flings to add a little thrill to that aspect of her life, but she was hardly a dreamer when it came to romance. She noted Albus was that way, and that boy probably would bring out that side in her dear friend. "You better not turn into a sap on me Greene, I do not fancy, nor respect zat. Promise you'll stay you around me?" She asked him looking up. Even if he was dating she expected not to be left in the dark, it would hurt her more then she could say. Brigitte had always been one of the boys, so she didn't like the thought of change. Best friends were hard to come by, and she knew it was too late in life to get a new one to share all her secrets with. She thought of how Frankie said he asked Albus and she grinned, and scrunched her nose. It was kind of cute, and she could only imagine those butterflies he must have gotten. When Frankie got defensive about the sex topic she rolled her eyes. "Okay Monsieur Morals, don't need to get your boxers in a twist." She teased, with a cheeky grin. When he went on about how the two had only been together a short while she shrugged. "Well zis whole dating ze Albus Potter, thing had been something you were longing for forever, thought you wanted to think long term." Brigitte muttered sarcastically. Frankie was right it was not best to jinx the relationship, but she was going along and adding to his whole, dream-like romance.
Brigitte listened to Frankie talk about practice and scoffed at him. "Oh, let me remind you how you were practicing all hours of ze night when he was dating zat Ben boy. Don't tell me you don't involve yourself in quidditch when your upset about him, Frankie. I know you, can't call my bluff." She stated. She watched Frankie get upset when Albus was finally getting into the whole dating thing. Frankie studied more, he played his music more, and he totally obsessed and became dependent on quidditch to be his escape from what she noted. Brigitte knew Frankie to be quiet, but never so much when he was upset about Albus being with someone. She knew Al didn't start dating til this year, so before that she didn't see the change. Yet when Frankie vented to her, she could see his pain, and she always tried to be there and help him through it. Frankie told her when quidditch was over, she'd have to fight Albus for some "Frankie' time and she jolted a smirk in his direction. "After all zese years of telling me I couldn't fight him, for being clingy. You give me permission to beat him up for your time. I am so zere!" She said. She knew what he meant but she couldn't help to add some humor into the conversation. She hated being serious. Brig just hoped Frankie would have a little time for her, after she been there for him through his whole thing, he'd better make time. Brigitte looked up at the sky, and she smiled. "Frankie, you know I'll be graduating zis year, and we wont see each other too much. Promise you won't forget me, and we will keep in touch?" Brig asked softly. The girl that lived with no direction for so long, had finally decided what she was good at, and she knew she didn't want to work for the ministry despite her grades. "I've decided what I want to do when I leave here." She said almost in a whisper. Brigitte always told Frankie she'd wing her life, and take the curve balls as they came. She never set goals, but she wondered if he'd be curious to know what she settled upon. It was just the current reality sinking in.

- - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - -Frankie chuckled softly when Brigitte told him that she would kill Albus if he hurt him. Frankie knew that Brigitte would throw down and get physical with Albus if he did hurt Frankie, so he didn’t bother to tell her that she didn’t need to go there. If he were to be honest, he liked the idea of having her there to protect him if necessary. Aside from his parents, Frankie didn’t have a lot of people to protect him in situations like that and he was glad to have her, to have anyone, there with him in that respect. It made him feel all warm and fuzzy inside, like he was special; everyone liked to feel special occasionally. “I’m sure you won’t need to, but I’ll defer to you if it’s necessary,” he told her with a smile. He really hoped it wouldn’t be necessary, but you never know.
She asked him how it had all happened and he told her the story of their date that led to them officially becoming a couple. He hadn’t thought it was overly cheesy, but she seemed to as she commented that he was hopeless and cheesy. He frowned at her comment about love being beautiful and shook his head. “It is beautiful, Brigs,” he said to her. Granted, it had the ability of being less than beautiful, but, for the most part, Frankie believed that love was a good thing. “But thank you, I am happy and glad to be,” he told her with a grin. Sometimes he wished she wasn’t so cynical when it came to love and relationships, but he also knew that she was part vela and that in itself brought about some negative thoughts when it came to love and romance.
Frankie raised an eyebrow at her when she told him that he better not go soft on her and that he better stay himself when he was with her. “You say that like I’ve already started to change,” he said to her with a slight pout of his lips. He hadn’t thought he changed that much since he started dating Albus before the Easter holiday, but her saying that made him wonder if he had and just not realized it. if he had, no one has said anything to him about it. now he found himself thinking back to the days since he started dating Albus and trying to notice if he’s changed much or not. “You have my word. I won’t change,” he told her with a nod of his head, “though you’ll have to tell me if I start to, yeah?” he said to her. When she mentioned marriage, Frankie blushed at the idea, but told her that it was a little too early to be thinking about that. “So what of it has; doesn’t mean I am planning our wedding already,” he told her. As long as he’s wanted this, it could turn out to be something he doesn’t want in the end. He didn’t know yet so he didn’t want to jinx anything.
When she mentioned him no longer practicing as much as he had, he told her he wasn’t that bad with practicing. He didn’t think he was and it kind of bothered him that she seemed to think otherwise. He frowned when she told him that he seemed to practice more when Albus was dating Ben. “Him dating that prat had nothing to do with my Quidditch practices,” he said with an irritable tone. He didn’t like that she was making it seem like he only practiced Quidditch because he was upset about Albus dating ben because that wasn’t true. He loved Quidditch and had every intention of trying out for a professional team when he left school. He needed to practice often if he was going to be good enough to make a team as a seventeen or eighteen year old. “If it comes to that, you’ll be the first to know,” he told her.
Frankie frowned when the moment seemed to change from a happy tone to a negative one almost instantly. She mentioned the fact that she would be graduating at the end of the year and told Frankie not to forget her when she left. “Of course I will keep in touch. How could you think I wouldn’t?” he asked her with a hint of concern in his tone. He was starting to feel as if she felt he was a bad friend or something, and that bothered him deep down, but he wasn’t about to bring it up or start an argument with his best friend about it. “Oh? What have you decided to do?” he asked her when she told him that she’d figured out what she wants to do when she leaves school in a few months.
