It was late. Later than she had expected, anyway. As she moved swiftly down the hall, Alyxandra wondered what had urged Max to call her out this late. He had seemed so timid when asking her to meet him. It must be important, she thought, climbing the stairs from the dungeon. Her pace was hurried, she didn't want to keep him waiting if it were something important. When she had last checked, it was just after seven thirty. It must have been an hour ago. Half running up the stairs, the Latina pondered what could be so dire. Everyone knew that around this time she was usually off studying in some dusty corner of the library. Chuckling quietly to herself, Alyx weaves through the corridor. The courtyard, huh?
It was a curious thing. He had approached her during transfiguration. Surprised by the request to meet so late in the evening, she had agreed. In truth, she would have met him at four in the morning, had he asked. Alyx was a sucker for his big blue eyes and an accent she had never heard outside of movies. It was unique and it definitely earned him a lot of attention around the school. But really, what didn't? He was gorgeous, played Quidditch, and, if that wasn't enough, he was a prefect. The boy was built for success.
Tucking a loose strand of hair behind her ear, she leaned heavily against the door to the courtyard, pushing her way out into the chilly night air. Pulling her robes tighter around her, the young witch trudged into the snow, toward the center of the yard. She would wait for him there, seeing as the clock tower said she was five minutes early.
She donned a pair of simple, denim jeans and a pink sweater under her robes, to fend off the winter's bite. Her long hair was tied back in a low ponytail, resting down the middle of her back. Alyxandra had been in the middle of studying when she realized she would be late if she stayed any longer in the library. She then ran to the common room to change into her common clothes. Chuckling once more, she rolled her eyes. “I'm such a girl,” she chided aloud, knowing she was alone, if only for the moment. Glancing up at the clock, she nodded lightly. Eight forty-five. He'd be there any minute now.

The whole werewolf thing was getting to him as of recently. It becoming hard, having no one understand why he was so angry for one week of the month. It kind of reminded him of a female, they would be bitchy once a month, as was he? A sigh escaped Max's lips as he sat in the Gryffindor common room. The day had already took place and he was feeling weak from all the Wolfsbane potion he had consumed. Max was no stranger to his transformation week, he knew what needed to be done and where he would have to go. Max often found himself a loner, he knew a few other wolves around the school but he rarely socialized with them. Max never wanted to blow his cover he'd fear rejection and judgement from his friends. Only those among the supernatural could really tell he was a werewolf. Some may suspect it because he separates himself for a week of the month. Also the little things like his feverish body temperature and how cold weather didn't effect him one bit. However tonight was different, Max wanted to open up to his good friend Alyx. The two had kept a flirty friendship for quite some time. Best of all he trusted her, which was rare for Max.
It was almost time to go meet her, Max knew the sky was going to be foggy for the next couple hours. After a while he realized how dangerous it was for her to be out in the evening time. Why would he put her life in danger like that? Max wasn't thinking correctly and if the moon show it's horrid glow then he would force her to leave. The transformation took hours of broke breaking before it actually happened, but even with that it was dangerous. Max stood up grabbing his water bottle of Wolfsbane then, exited the common room, slowly made his way down to the main level from the towers. His array of fan girls was there not far behind him with their obnoxious flirtatious giggles. Max just gave a small nod showing he was well aware they were on his tail. Tail? Was that a pun? Max shook his head and smiled, he could take time to see humor in being a wolf sometimes as well.
Luca Greyback taught him a thing or two would embracing the full moon and not fighting the change. It helped most of the time, when one was not dreading the pain. Max walked outside of the castle, no professor would stop him on this date he just hoped the weather predictions were accurate. Making his way toward the courtyard he caught what she whispered about being a girl. Max had wolf hearing his sense was heightened greatly. "I'll back you up on that one captain obvious." Max mused wrapping his arm around her shoulders. "Unless there is something I don't know and I have a secret gay attraction to you." He added with his signature grin. Max walked over to the fountain and took a seat looking up at the cloudy sky. Everything was okay for now. "Let's just hope that is not the case." Max said sarcastically with a wink of his right eye. He took in a moment to capture her beauty and smiled to himself. "So I'm sure your probably wondering why I asked you to meet me out here so late, but this is not going to be easy for me to say, so bare with me." Max explained, he didn't want to just come outwith 'I'm a werewolf' and put the poor girl in shock. Actually he refused to be that blunt with this situation. Procrastination was his best bet. "So let's start with the basics. How was your day sweetheart?" Max asked his New Yorker accent peeking whenever he could pronounce the letter r. Max loved his accent, it was one of those many things that defined him as Maxwell Krum.

Having been facing away from the door, Alyx was startled when Max spoke. She hadn't been expecting him to hear her; to even be there so soon, really. With an amused grin, she bumps her shoulder against the boy, following him toward the fountain. He had a way of making her comfortable, no matter the situation. Maybe that was what she liked the most about him? He had this easyness about his demeanor, something that made being around him almost always enjoyable. Chuckling at his jibe, she rolled her eyes. ”I should hope you'd have noticed I'm a girl by now,” she teases. There was that grin, the kind that could give a girl goosebumps when it landed on her. If she weren't already chilled, Alyx likely would have gotten them, too.
Resting her weight on her right leg, she tilted her head, listening seriously to Max as he asked her to “bear with [him]” through the difficult speech. ”I've got all the time in the world,” she promises. Tucking stray strands of hair from her face as he speaks, Alyx smiled sweetly. 'It must be hard on him... he's using that foreign charm of his,' she thought fondly. ”My day was.. average really. Just another day in a magical paradise,” Alyx said, slight sarcasm hinting in her voice. There were just some days that she longed for her muggle life, before she knew she were different from the kids she grew up with. With a soft sigh, she shifts her weight from one foot to the other. ”And how was your day, querido mío?”
The Spanish came easily from her mouth, more so than any English phrase Ally ever spoke. It was her first language, and she often sifted between the two when she spoke. It was effortless, thoughtless. Like water flowing down a stream.
She moved to rest on the fountain's edge, watching Maxwell with a curious gaze. He had the roguish good looks of an actor, or, if he preferred, a male model. It was a wonder the poor guy wasn't stalked at all hours! Alyx chuckled at the thought. How funny would it be to see a girl or two hiding behind bannisters and pillars, in bushes and in the rafters, all following his every move? The idea almost put the Latina in stitches.

Max always liked the way he and Alyx got along in a nature. There was never really a dull moments, and normally he could be himself. Upon arrive he noticed he startled the girl, he hadn't been expecting that. Perhaps his heightened hearing wasn't the best thing to abide by, however it would explain things as the night went on. Max could always give her small hints along the may before making his big confession. That way, she couldn't have that look if disbelief when he told her. Yet somewhere deep down, he knew it would take a a bit to grasp the actually concept. As she spoke he smirked. "Oh could have fooled me, I didn't know girls had to openly admit to themselves their gender, outloud." Max teased with a grin. It was interesting catching her off guard with her statement, but she walked into that comment.
Alyx was very understanding of him, and Max liked that about her. Most girls, or people in general were very impatient. Therefore when she stated she had all the time in the world, it gave him a sense of relief. Although Max himself didn't have all the time in the world. The boy had a couple hours tops, therefore he'd have to get a feeling of content then make her leave him. In a way he feared once she learned about it, she wouldn't want to leave his side. It would be very dangerous, Max knew every student learned the difference between and werewolf, and an a animagus. Lycanthropy was said to be painful, he didn't want Alyx to try to play hero or be foolish and show him sighs of disbelief. A sigh escaped his lips as he ruffled his hair. Off that topic he was happy to hear her day went well. A smirk crossed his lips when she spoke of Hogwarts being a magical paradise. Perhaps it was, Hogwarts was always a second home. Max spent some of his breaks at Hogwarts, scared he would harm a family member if he traveled back home. Hogwarts was accepting of his condition, this was one of the reasons he loved being at this school instead, of being cursed around the boys of Durmstrang Institute. Max hadn't a clue about the place cept what his father spoke of it. Quite frankly he'd rather be around both sexes then to be stuck around a bunch of blokes.
When Alyx became to speak again he couldn't help the pink color that was brought to his cheeks. No he didn't know what the Spanish meant, but he remembered back in New York the girls would use the word mio, when speaking to their loved ones. It must have been some sort of claim or compliment. "Well, my day was alright. I had a small fight not seeing eye to eye with one of the Slytherin boys, but I can't always control my anger." It was true Max couldn't when the full moon was peeking so soon. The temperamental nature started a week before transformation, and he was still a pup in senses and had little control of himself. Max opened the cap of his water bottle that carried the watered down Wolfsbane potion. Max got to his feet and walked away taking a large sip of the potion. He got some down and choked on the rest, it burning his chest on the way down. At this point his back was to her, but to make himself weak he needed to finish the whole bottle. "Don't mind me, just need to finish this..." Max paused wiping his mouth. He walked back over and took a seat beside the girl. "Even if it kills me." Max muttered softly, looking at the murky whitish color in his water bottle. He couldn't explain what it was right this moment, he needed to change the subject. "What's your biggest fear Alyx?" Max asked looking over at her as he forced down another guzzle of the potion. This was going to be a long night, he could see it now.
