You don't know your beautiful:

It isn’t unusual to hear the word handsome thrown about when talking about Sean’s appearance. Standing at six foot exactly Sean is just above average height and his build can definitely be described as athletic but not overly so – his love of Quidditch and Muggle rugby sees to that. He skin is lightly tanned, just enough that it shows the natural healthy glow of spending numerous hours outside in the sun. Sean’s blue eyes are light and friendly and reflect his light hearted nature. His sandy blonde hair has the appearance of fake bed head; he obviously cares about his appearance but is the type to want to pull off an effortless look especially with his just-the-right-amount-of-mess added to his uniform as well as wearing slightly battered jeans with t-shirts when wearing Muggle clothes. But his smile has to be his favourite feature about himself. Straight and white his teeth are next to perfect and over the years Sean has learned the perfect crooked half smile with a dimple.

What make me unique;

There was no doubt that Sean would have been sorted in to any House other than Hufflepuff and comparing him to the House animal, the badger, wouldn’t be too farfetched; Sean has a gentle nature and can be seen as very easy going and openly friendly to anyone the majority of the time. However, if he or any of his loved ones were threatened somehow Sean would be the first to act with a bold and savage defence, sometimes without thinking and just dangerously lashing out. Deeply loyal, there are only a few that have gotten close enough to Sean through his emotional defences to be considered a true and real friend.

Sean loves the spotlight and this has earned him quite a reputation through his Hogwarts years. Loud is a very popular word used to describe Sean and that is exactly what he is. He is loud not only in voice but in personality and isn’t completely happy unless he is getting attention of some sort, meaning he hates to be alone and loves to be socialising in any form. This can subtract from his time doing school work, though when he does put his mind to it Sean can work hard and get the top grades, although this rarely happens as he is content enough with the balance between just above average grades and a big social life.

This attitude has given some people the idea that Sean is lazy but this is simply not true. Although not the hardest worker when it comes to his studies, Sean would take being outside and active above just sitting around inside any day. In fact, one of the only times Sean likes to be alone is when he goes for a morning jog whenever he can or things are getting too stressful inside the castle or at home. He puts a lot of effort in to his social life too. Sean prefers it when those around him are happy and although he can have quite an ego he is also caring and would do anything to help a person out if he could. Maybe this was why he was made a Prefect (If this is okay) because even though he is not the best student, Sean is very open and friendly and would listen to anyone in a time in need.

He is handsome and he knows it. This leads to quite a cocky attitude sometimes, and as much as he loves attention in any form his favourite is attention from the ladies. However, he doesn’t just go around with the intent of getting with every girl he sees and most of the time it is just playful flirting. Only sixteen, Sean hasn’t any had serious romance but his age isn’t the only reason. While Sean is all for the flirts and some harmless fun, whenever anything gets remotely serious Sean chokes. Some may call it commitment issues though Sean denies it completely. There is just something about the idea of being so completely open with a girl that scares him, not that he would admit it. Sean continues to be all smiles and laughter, never letting anyone see his self doubt or real fears.

Always right. At least, that is what Sean thinks. He is the type of person who if arguing about something and halfway through the argument realises he is wrong, he will continue until the other person backs down. This can cause Sean to gain the reputation of being quite arrogant at times, and in this aspect he is. He is well known to be so sure of himself that he takes bets with anyone about anything often leading to trouble and more arguments. This will be the only time that Sean isn’t his usual laid back self. However, as quick as he is to argue he is just as quick to calm. It has been known for Sean to be having a full out argument with someone one minute and then laughing with the same person in the Common Room the next.

Living the teenage dream,

Sean’s story begins, as everyone else’s does, with him being born. He was born to a young married couple called Everett and Catherine living in London who had the appearance of being perfectly normal, and with the arrival of Sean they seemed a perfectly normal and happy family. And they were happy. But they weren’t normal. You see, Sean’s mother was a witch. Not only was she was a witch but she hadn’t told her loving husband she was.

So while Catherine was spending her days working in the Ministry of Magic, she was working in a general office with something to do with law in her husband’s eyes. Luckily he didn’t hold much interest in the stuffy workings of law and so didn’t question his wife much on her work. He was a busy man himself. Everett spent his day running a locally popular café with a friendly and open atmosphere that someday he hoped his son would take over. It was because of this that Sean got to spend so much time with his father when he was growing up. Whenever he wasn’t in school Sean would be by his father’s side at the café, making friends with the customers and providing a laugh to those regulars. It was this way that Sean grew closer to his father than to his mother.

Whenever Everett wasn’t working he would still have time for his son and strive to spend time with him. Not that his mother didn’t, Sean loved his mother very much, but she was busier than Everett and was often too tired to play after coming home from work. It was with his father that Sean found his love of rugby and the London team the Harlequins. It wasn’t look before he was playing with his mother as his cheerleader and his father as his coach.

Nothing changed when his little sister came along. Both parents managed remarkably well with caring and tending to two children and everything seemed perfect. And then Sean showed signs of magic.

He must have been around eight at the time. Sean was sitting in the back of his father’s café with nothing to amuse himself with. Looking back, Sean isn’t exactly sure how it began but it got to the point where he was juggling some plates – Without hands. So with Sean waving his hands about and causing plates to go flying around the room it was then when his father walked in. Shocked, Sean broke concentration and dropped his hands. On cue the plates all smashed to the ground except one. One landed and broke on his father’s head. Now he wasn’t seriously hurt, to be fair it was only a small cut, but Sean still remembers the fear in his father’s eyes when he looked at him.

That night Everett took his wife to one side and explained what happened. Sean would later learn that it was then when his mother confessed tearfully to his father about what she, and therefore what the children, were. Miraculously through weeks of shouts, tears, near breakups and more, the two managed to find each other again but nothing was the same between Sean and his father. It wasn’t as bad with his father and his sister, maybe because Everett witnessed Sean’s magic and was hurt by it, but even though his father kept smiling Sean could see his fear and feel his distance. He felt as though he had lost his father and best friend and his blamed his mother for hiding the truth.

Somehow Sean was still excited about attending Hogwarts even with his father leaving the room whenever anything magical was mentioned. He fit in well when he arrived and was quick to make friends. He still played rugby when he was home, maybe if a small part of him believed it was just for his father, but Sean also found a love of Quidditch at Hogwarts as and more time passed the more he fitted in to the magical world but the more his father drifted away from him.
