Just looking at Amelia it is obvious she comes from a well to do family. She is always dressed smartly and her clothes are always well fitting and good quality. It would be easy to guess that Amelia felt more comfortable in dark colours, an elegant black dress being her favourite thing to wear. She walks away with very good posture, her back is always straight with her chin held high as her soft blue eyes never waver. Her dark black hair contracts her pale skin and it is nearly always done up in to a neat knot. Her preferred make-up would be for her lips to be painted a deep red while having a small amount of black eye-liner to give a startling contrast with her clear pale skin.

What make me unique;

Elegant. Elegant and graceful. Two words popularly used when describing the young miss Amelia Urquhart. Practically from birth, her mother raised her to be a proper young lady. Especially around her father's guest who she would be a hostess to from an early age. As such, Amelia is always dressed immaculately with perfect hair and make-up, and she never uses fowl language.

Self-preserving. This is a trait most of the Urquhart family have acquired it would seem. Much rather than pick a side in a influential fight, Amelia would be very political and do her utmost to avoid offending either party if they had the power to hurt Amelia in some way.

Proud. Amelia has been raised to know that her name means something. With her family wealth and reputation in certain circles, it isn't very hard to feel pride whenever her name is recognised. Any slight to her family and Amelia would be grievously insulted.

Self-doubt. No matter how proud Amelia is to be a part of the Urquhart family, there is always a part of her that wonders how much she would have achieved if she didn't have the family name hanging over her. There is always a small doubt that whenever she achieves something or someone is friendly with her, it isn't because of her but her name.

Ambitious. Amelia is eager to make a name for herself and not just as the daughter of the Urquhart family. Such is her need to prove herself that she can become very obsessive and one-minded when she presented a task, shutting out everything else.

Inner child. Grown up under the oppressive rule of her father, Amelia didn't have the normal childhood others have. As such there can be times when Amelia shows the wonderment of a child. Discover this, and Amelia can be quite playful and carefree.

Independent. Amelia always had her mother lecturing her on how to be a lady, and her father was always there whenever Amelia stepped out of line, but it is was obvious that her brother was the preferred child. As heir and the only male of the family, it was up to her brother to carry on the family name and as such got a lot more attention than the sometimes neglected little sister. As such, Amelia learnt from a very early age to look after herself and not to depend on people too much.

Vain. Amelia is proud of her looks. From a young age Amelia has been taught to put a lot of effort in to her appearance and as such takes a great deal of pride in it.

Blood proud. Blood is very important. At least that is what Amelia has been taught to believe since her childhood. She knows her father would never allow her to marry in to a family with muggle blood. He would be livid if she ever showed attraction to a muggle man. However, contrary to normal blood supremacist, they do not attack muggleborns and they don't believe in blood traitors. Rather, Amelia tries to educate her pureblood friends in to seeing that having pureblood is something to strive for. She doesn't even act negatively around muggleborns. She may act a little distant at first but she would have no problem about befriending them if they gained her trust. She would even encourage them to marry purebloods to try and get rid of the muggle taint and return the wizard world to one of magical blood. However, the idea of her marrying a muggleborn never crosses her mind. Even if it did her father would never allow it.

Patronizing. Amelia knows her beliefs and views, and can be very stubborn about them. If anyone tries and convince her otherwise, Amelia can be quite condescending, just seeing them as misinformed.

Innocent. Having a very sheltered childhood, it wasn't until Hogwarts when Amelia escaped the protectiveness of her family home. Even know, this can be seen in how innocent Amelia can act, and how she can find wonder in such simple things.

Polite. Amelia does not like to be on anyone's bad side just in case they could have some sort of influence over her. As such, Amelia is always polite. It may take a while, but there is always a subtle shift in her behaviour when she deems a person trustworthy, and she becomes less polite and more friendly and warm.

Living the teenage dream,

Joseph and Zara's families were always close. Both a family of proud purebloods and both families being quit wealthy, their parents were thrilled when Joseph and Zara announced their engagement. The two had been pushed together practically from birth so both families couldn't be more thrilled. Their engagement was quickly followed by their very extravagant wedding, and that was quickly followed by Zara's first pregnancy.

The two quickly settled in to roles. Joseph would work at his father's international business, later to take over it, and Zara grew in to a compliant pregnant housewife. That didn't change when she gave birth to her first child. A son. Zara and Joseph doted on their son and he was incredibly spoilt. His father shaped him from an early age to one day take over the family business and to carry on the family name, and Zara spent all her day pleasing him.

Amelia's arrival was quite different. Maybe it was because Amelia was a girl or maybe it was because he already had a son, but Joseph never showed much interest in his daughter. The only times when he was present in her life was when he was educating her on their family's supremacy, and when he parade his obedient daughter in front of his guests and friends. Amelia spent more time with her mother as it was Zara's job to raise Amelia as a polite young lady. But usually Amelia was left to her own devices when Zara was doting on her son. It was in this time that Amelia grew a fondness for birds of prey, horse riding and water.

When Amelia finally got her Hogwarts letter she was so excited. She finally managed to escape some of the oppression and expectation of her parents. She was sorted in to Slytherin, something she was glad about because it gained her father's approval, and for seven years Amelia slowly grew out of her shell. Even more so when her brother left Hogwarts and she was no longer under his shadow.

Leaving Hogwarts, Amelia was at a loss at what to do at first. Her father wanted her to follow in her mother's footsteps and help her host her father's parties and such things until she married herself. However, Amelia had the desire to get out from under her family name. It upset her father, but when she was offered an intern position in the ministry she took it without a second thought, defying her father for the first time.

More tension grew between Amelia and her parents when they started lining up suitors for her, eager to marry her off before she embarrassed herself further. So far Amelia has turned down every one and her father is getting desperate. And angry. Even though Amelia is still living in the family manor relationships between her and her family are getting strained and it won't be long before something snaps.
