Lily found herself hungry decently close to curfew. If she could use her charm to talk one of the house elves into giving her some ice cream she'd be pretty happy. The kitchen was a bit far, but it would be worth the walk. The sound of emptiness in her stomach was unacceptable, forcing herself from her desk. Well that homework wasn't getting finished any time soon, Lily thought to herself. It was only muggle studies, she didn't favor the class nor the professor, so it could wait. Naturally Lily slacked on her assignments, she was always too fidgety and full of energy to sit still and work. To her knowledge she worked best under pressure anyways. So she wasn't sweating the fact she hadn't finished. That ice cream was priority number one.
Lily took her leave from the common room and made her way to the kitchen. The small house elves were used to seeing Lily lurking after hours, and the daughter of Harry Potter didn't always get caught. She was pretty sneaky when she wanted to be, learning from James and Teddy in the past. Even her middle brother had the adventurous side, though more rare then Lily's desire to seek thrill. Where would she find fun after getting her ice cream? The adventure would seek the wizard, it wasn't something planned most of the time, as her cousins put it. Lily finally got her ice cream and she took the small cup walking into the hall way. She was only in her pajama pants, and a tank top, and under dressed for an adventure. She could always cast a heating charm on herself if she got cold.
Lily walked through the basement halls, it had felt like she knew the basement inside and out after being at Hogwarts for five years. When she graduated she'd surely miss wondering the halls, or waking up from her occasional sleep walking experience. Lily took a couple bites of her ice cream finding a waste basket and tossing it. She didn't like chocolate ice cream, she would be sure to find something better to do, since sweets failed her miserably. "How could they?" She whispered her tone dramatic, sighing deeply. Lily could always go mess with the care taker, he was a grouchy old git, and she always found him entertaining. Making her way from the basement to the third floor she peeked around the corners. Lily didn't want one of those perky prefects catching her sentencing her to a evening of detention. Lily scrunched her nose at the thought, if only she could avoid detention for ever. What a dream. Lily wondered into darkness, and she could hear footsteps, she took out her wand looking around for a moment. "Who's there?" She asked in a whisper, just loud enough so some one could hear her.

Arabel's thoughts were riding the dream train as she snored softly in her bed. Her blanket crawling to her chin and looking quite peaceful. The girls dormitory was quite quiet, and almost everyone was in bed like her. But almost a second later, her eyes shot open and she was looking around, drowsy, adjusting to the darkness and comprehending that she had awoken. The Red Bed Head got up and rubbed her face, looking around at the rising and falling of her fellow Hufflepuffs blankets. For a moment, she didn't know why she had woken up, then she felt a crazy dryness in her throat and gulped several times, trying to gain some moisture. After a while, she gave in and simply got out of bed quietly, going out of the common room and making her way towards the kitchen.
Her thoughts were slightly hazy, it seemed in her dream state she began to notice everything in her common room. The objects scattered around, the soft glow and warmth it brought to her, and the quietness. She looked around and noticed a book sitting on one of the desks. She stared at it, as i her mind was trying to process something, but quickly discarded it as she remembered her thirst.
Arabel was in a tank top and pajama shorts so a lot of skin was shown. In her bed and common room, it didn't matter thanks to the heat they gained. Her skin was always warm, and she usually didn't leave the warmth of her den. But as she stepped out of the entrance, instance cold hit her and she shivered. Her feet felt as if they were on ice, and she felt even more thirsty. The coldness of the room instantly reminded her of The Dementors of Azkaban. Even if she hadn't seen a Dementor or felt the actual presence of one, she felt as if one was creeping down the halls causing this feeling. She looked up and down the halls, wondering if maybe there was a slight chance. But after a moment, she simply shook her head and made her way down. She continued down, cold and thirsty until she stopped at the voice of a girl, asking who was there. Arabel squinted in her daze and noticed the orange hair and the cute face of Lily Potter. Arabel, in her sleepy voice answered. "Chill Lily, it's me Arabel." She didn't really know much about Lily, they hadn't really ever gotten close before. But she couldn't forget the face of people in her dorm, it was like a instinct when she knew someone was in Hufflepuff.

Lily had really had her heart set on that ice cream it was a shame she didn't get the kind she wanted. Lily wasn't normally fussy or picky about what she ate but chocolate ice cream was icky. Lily put her nose up, and she continued to explore. If only James could see her now, breaking curfew. He'd be some what proud. Lily was far from a prefect, though she did go out at night to see her other brother Albus, who was indeed a prefect. Lily liked playing with the prefects it was fun to prank them at times, but that wasn't her mission tonight. Lily was wandering aimlessly. The halls were dark, and normally she'd pull out her wand and use the light charm, but she couldn't Lily was on a floor with many classrooms and she didn't know where that sneaky old caretaker was. Lily looked for him most, one time she pushed him into a room closet and took off. She hadn't been caught, but he shouldn't have been snooping around, ruining her fun. Lily enjoyed her days at Hogwarts. She didn't like detention but she was far from an angel. Lily loved to seek mischief, but she didn't like most of the consequences.
Then a noise in the distance caused her to be hesitant. Lilt didn't know if it was a friend or an enemy. She held her wand by it's core and when a face became clear she knew who it was. Arabel. Lily had been room mates with Arabel, and she was also on the quidditch team with the girl. Of course the girls didn't know each other, but Lily was friendly with everyone. "I'm chill, I just wasn't sure who you were. You know ever since I got busted pulling a prank on the caretaker, I've been paranoid." Lily explained to the other red head. Lily hadn't been caught pushing him in the broom closet, she had gotten caught putting a transfiguration spell on his hair to turn it Easter egg pink. It was all fun, until he caught on to her doing. Lily looked back to Arabel. "So where were you headed? Mind if I tag along?" Lily asked the other girl. The girls had played quidditch together, and Lily wouldn't mind making a new friend tonight. She knew mostly everyone who wanted to give her a chance. Lily was quirky, but she was a fun loving, sweet heart. If Arabel was down for an adventure she'd oblige.

Arabel cowered her eyes hazily as the wand-light shone on he face. The change of light effectively irritating hr hazel eyes and slightly eating at her patience. She felt as if she wanted to run and crawl back in her blankets, the brightness also starting to defeat her sleep, but she couldn't. As she gulped in the night, her throat felt drier than ever. Finally the wand-light left her face and Lily explained her paranoia.
Arabel smiled, she had recalled that day. Caretaker, doing his duties and all, then next thing he knows he was pink haired and 'pretty'. Oh how everyone laughed at the site, and his reaction was down right priceless. The Sleepy Red Head, as tired as she was, couldn't forget the expression presented on him that day. She even longed to see it again. But then again, she also remembered how the caretaker had gotten Lily in trouble.
"Prank? She rubbed her eyes trying to again get used to the darkness. "With the ruckus he made, it could've been considered assault." She dreamily smiled at her comment. When her fellow Quidditch Player questioned her presence, she sighed slightly, still not having much energy. "I just want some water Lil. Sure you can come along." Motioning with her hand for the girl to follow, she began to make her way down the hall.
But, she wasn't completely sure this would end good. The Girl who was now with her was quite the troublemaker. Arabel knew she had a tendency to the incredibly funny, but it wasn't always the incredibly smart. Honestly, she wasn't a non-fun loving girl, Arabel. But she knew the fine line between getting in trouble and not. All in all, she blamed James. That guy was the worst influence on Lily, and it really made her bad. But when she thought about it, their father was dead. They had to have some sort of amusement in their lives.
And she walked down for a few seconds until abruptly she stopped. For a moment, she didn't even know why she had came to a halt. But now with flushed cheeks, she turned to the Girl Behind her, "I don't know where the kitchen is ..."
