When Frankie had joked to Albus about him wishing he had been captivated by his charms while they were in the other shops they’d visited that day, Frankie wasn’t sure how Albus would take it. He wasn’t trying to pick a fight or be mean, nor was he trying to give a subtle hint of any sort of ill will towards him. Frankie loved Albus and his company and he had thought his feelings on such matters were clear and distinct, especially after what had happened in the student lounge followed by the moments that followed when they had talked about that night and what had happened between them. He had welcomed the topic change and was glad that the new topic had turned into food and what they were going to have. Once they had been decided on what they would get, the waitress came and took their orders. While they waited, the boys talked about the Sadie Hawkins dance and if anyone had asked either of them. “I’m sure they are,” Frankie joked after Frankie sarcastically said that the girls were lined up down the corridor from the dungeons to the towers to ask him to the dance. “And they should be lined up around the castle for you. You’re the sexiest person at Hogwarts,” he said as if it was the most common thing to come out of his mouth. Their food came and the conversation pretty much stopped as the two young wizards ate the food they had ordered. “Very,” he added after Albus had said the food was brilliant. “that definitely hit the spot,” he said as he then heard a noise coming from the other side of the room. Frankie looked over and saw that they were setting up what looked like a makeshift stage for an open mic night. Frankie turned to look at Albus when he mentioned the open mic night and asked if Frankie would sing to him and show him that song he was telling him about. This had been the last thing he had expected to end their date, but Frankie wasn’t going to back down from the request and challenge. He picked up a fry from his plate and stuffed them in his mouth. “Let me finish my fries and I will indeed,” he said before picking up a few more fries and shoved them into his mouth. He finished his food and then picked up his guitar case and slid out of the booth he was sitting in. He made his way over to where the person who was running the open mic night was and gave in his name. He then waited for his turn and went up to play the acoustic version of this song. When he finished, he packed up his guitar to the round of applause and then Frankie moved back over to where Albus was sitting. He lifted his drink and sipped from it before looking at Albus with raised eyebrows. “So what did you think?” he asked, hoping that he liked it.

YOU MIGHT BE CRAZY, BUT HAVE I TOLD YOU LATELYthat i love you, you're the only reason that i'm not afraid to fly • • • • • • The thing about being so close with Frankie was he knew what to expect most of the time. Albus knew where the butted heads, how to defuse a situation, and when to keep going. It was also apparent he knew his own levels of maintaining composure, with the little set of patients he did have. Albus didn't want to argue nor did he want tension between he and Frankie tonight, well at least not angry tension. In all honesty Albus wasn't great with this whole going on dates thing, and being in public always made him nervous. Insecurities would build up when he felt like he had to follow certain expectations. Albus was horrible in social situations in general, therefore being head boy next year wasn't going to be easy. Albus could only imagine being forced to attend all the dances, and help maintain all events. At least he'd have his friends by his side to keep his sanity in tact. Albus was more or less responsible, but being in the spot light, he feared. On the actual Sadie Hawkins dance topic Albus listened to Frankie's words. The boy blinked a couple times in disbelief of his friend's words. "Sexy? Me? I think you're bluffing, or sick." Albus brought the back of his hand to Frankie's forehead as if he was checking the boy's temperature. "I wouldn't know how to be sexy, if it was the last thing I could possibly do." Albus stated. Perhaps handsome, and maybe cute, but sexy? Albus snickered to himself as he continued to pick at the remains of his salad.
It was just about time for the stage to be set up, and he was secretly swooning when Frankie agreed to play. Frankie could have been a Gryffindor with all that confidence, and bravery, Al was sure of it. Putting Albus in front of a crowd of people, would have him choked up, but he was slowly getting used to it over the years. From the first time he was placed in Slytherin, and the applause filled the room, caused him to fall in front of the whole school, on his way to the table. To now a days where he could give a presentation in front of his whole year, he had become better at dealing with his anxiety. Just the overall feeling was frightening, and he wondered how Frankie was so confident. It must have went along with his whole desire to entertain, and play music. Albus admired it, as he nodded letting Frankie finish his fries. Then the waitress came and took their plates and Albus watched Frankie walk over and speak to the person maintaining the night. Albus grabbed the waitress and asked for the bill. This was his date and he wasn't allowing Frankie to object and pay for it. Albus could be highly stubborn, but this way he already had done it, so there would be no arguing. After that was done he got ready to be serenaded.
As the acts went on stage he grew a little anxious for Frankie. He got up from the booth and moved closer to the stage so he could have a good look at Frankie's playing. This was sort of romantic, he couldn't deny that. Albus would let the music and lyrics go to his head, he was positive of it. At last it was Frankie's turn and he looked around at all the eyes focused on the stage. Although he was nervous for Frankie, he was excited all in the same bit. As the lights dimmed in the seating area, Albus watched Frankie play taking in the words. The tune and everything took him away to a place in his mind where everyone around them, seemed to fade away and he could only see Frankie on stage and himself. He smiled and bobbed his head a bit with the beat, and when it was all over he stood up sticking his fingers in his mouth whistling. Albus had always been Frankie's number one fan, weather it was quidditch or something special like this, he'd be there cheering the loudest. After clapping and Frankie joined him, he blushed a big. "I love it, it's was beautiful! You're so talented." Albus stated cheery, he looked around and noted the window. It had been dark out it was time to go back to the castle. Not til after he ran in honey dukes and grabbed a box of chocolates, in their owl Frankie did state he wanted chocolates to do with, who knows what. "Ready, to head back? The night has only begun, but I could do with some private time with you, all to myself." Albus hoped Frankie felt the same way, they could talk and not be so public at this time.
Making sure he had everything belonging to him, Albus took Frankie's hand and walked out of the tavern. The song was special, and he wondered if it had been to him. Albus didn't think he deserved that much credit, but he never would with his self esteem. Once on the street, he saw the sweets shop and decided to stop in and grab a box of chocolates, after he looked to Frankie. "Now to journey back to the castle, under the star light." Albus said letting go of Frankie hand and moving in putting his arm around the boy's waist. He wanted to be closer to Frankie after their date. After leaving the village the road back was lit up by the half moon, and the stars. He looked up at the sky capturing the natural beauty. When they were far enough away from civilization, Albus walked forward and stopped in front of Frankie looking up at him. "You're brilliant, do you know that?" Albus asked placing his bag down for a moment, and resetting his hands on Frankie's hips. "When you were up on stage, I was nervous for you, but after you started everyone around me faded away. And I wasn't so nervous, it was only you and I." Albus explained softly. The wind blew around them, and he needed to kiss Frankie, to have that warm embrace, he had hardly felt all day around his person. Albus placed on of his arms around Frankie's neck and got on his tippy toes, pressing his lips against Frankie's, igniting a kiss.

When Frankie had told Albus that he was the sexiest person at Hogwarts, he fully expected Albus to modestly tell Frankie he was wrong. Frankie knew the truth and the truth was what he felt was exactly that. He didn’t care of anyone else thought Albus was the sexiest person at Hogwarts or not. Frankie’s opinion on how he viewed his best friend and longtime crush was entirely his own and he’d never let anyone, not even Albus, tell him otherwise. “I am neither. I am telling you the truth as I see it,” Frankie told him, his own way of telling Albus that Frankie firmly believed that he was the sexiest Hogwarts had to offer. “And are you sure about that? You were being pretty damn sexy that night in the student lounge,” Frankie told him with a wink of his eye.
Albus had asked Frankie to play the song he’d been working on during the open mic night and Frankie obliged him. He wasn’t sure if Albus understood the song he was singing, or what it was about, but he hoped that the message had been clearly conveyed to him. He didn’t even care of anyone else understood what Frankie was saying with his song, but the look on Albus’ face as Frankie continued to sing and play it told the Ravenclaw that he understood it perfectly well. He kept his gaze on Albus the entire time, except for once when he looked down at his guitar to make sure the strings were holding out okay, and did his best not to hurry back to the booth he’d left Albus in after his song was done. The first thing he did when he returned was ask Albus what he thought.
Albus gushed about the song and Frankie felt his heart swell as he listened to the praise he received. He was glad Albus liked the song, though he was curious to know if Albus understood its meaning and what Frankie was saying in the song. Before he could ask him though, Albus suggested that they head back to the castle. Frankie looked out the window and saw that it was dark and realized that it must be pretty late. “Yeah, sounds like a good idea,” Frankie agreed. “Is that so?” he said when Albus told him that he could do with some private time. “Should I be worried?” he asked playfully. Frankie would thoroughly enjoy alone time with Albus right now, he was sure of that, and he followed the Slytherin out of the pub and back out into the Hogsmeade streets as they made their way back up to the castle.
Frankie grinned at Albus when he mentioned that they had a star lit sky to walk back to the castle under and Frankie took that as a sign to add a bit of a romantic feel to this moment. He wasn’t sure of that was what Albus meant by his comment, but Frankie saw no reason not to give it to him anyway. Frankie slipped his hand around Albus’ waist, returning the gesture Albus had made towards him, and pulled the boy a bit closer to him. “Then I guess we better make the most of it, yes?” he asked rhetorically in his French accent. Frankie stopped moving when Albus stepped in front of him and asked him if he knew he was brilliant. Frankie wasn’t sure if it was a rhetorical question or not, but he nodded his head at his Slytherin friend in response.
He could never understand why Albus had such an effect on him, but he wasn’t going to question it or complain about it. He accepted it for what it was and was now embracing it. Frankie listened as Albus spoke more, talking about the song and how he felt lie it was only he and Frankie in the pub when Frankie was performing his song. Before Frankie could respond to that, Albus had moved closer and pressed his lips against Frankie’s, igniting a kiss Frankie never wanted to have end. One of Frankie’s arms circled Albus’ waist and pulled him closer while his other hand slowly rose up to his friend’s face and softly caressed it as he deepened the kiss. After what felt like a few minutes, Frankie pulled away and looked down at Albus with a smile. “It’s always been me and you, to me,” he whispered.

YOU MIGHT BE CRAZY, BUT HAVE I TOLD YOU LATELYthat i love you, you're the only reason that i'm not afraid to fly • • • • • • Albus couldn't help to blush at Frankie's words about him being sexy. The Ravenclaw boy was very persistent when it came to expressing his thoughts of Albus. It was sort of sweet, even if he didn't think it was true. Albus was never really one to brag about his appearance. He was self conscious, and thought very low of himself. A lot of the time he needed those words from his friends to keep his self esteem from fully being diminished. At Frankie next words he thought back to the night of the student lounge and bit his bottom lip. That night had been an exception, if he wasn't drunk he may not have been so promiscuous. "That was an exception, in my defense I was playing a drinking game, and that is what caused me to act that way. Do you really think I would have hit on Jack, whom is straight mind you if I wasn't drinking? Then I..." Albus blushed at the thought of sitting on Frankie's lap, and the events that took place after the head boy left. Albus smiled to himself and looked up to meet eyes with Frankie. "Had an amazing time with you." Albus admitted softly, as he looked away to hide his cheeks. "Though I don't think I'm going to win this argument, so fine I'm sexy." Albus muttered in defeat. He knew Frankie would object if he continued on about the fact he wasn't sexy. It was just like them to have this little debate. If Frankie wasn't so stern with him most of the time, he wondered if he'd have an confidence.
After returning to the booth after the song Albus felt relieved. He enjoyed the moments, when Frankie made him feel like that song was only his. Albus had pieced together a couple of Frankie's other songs were to him as well. The ones about having a crush, and not being able to act on it. In the end he was happy Frankie told him about the crush, he was happy with where he stood with his best friend. Albus wondered if it was going to be awkward at first, after the whole picnic talk he was truly okay with dating Frankie. He felt safe, and hoped nothing would happen to ruin what he had. Al made up his mind it was time to have alone time with Frankie. Even if it wasn't that dark out, he knew he wanted to get back to the castle and away from crowds of people for the rest of the evening. Albus smirked at Frankie comment about being worried. "Of course you should, me having you alone in the room of requirement could only amount to a naughty session." Albus teased biting his bottom lip. "Also you were the one who wanted chocolates, and to talk dirty to me in French." Albus added wondering if he should have been the one worried. Without alcohol in his system he wondered if he'd be very self conscious, and forget everything Eva taught him. Albus pushed away his thought not anticipating. Assuming was something he did a lot of the time, and he shouldn't over think the situation, he didn't even know if it was going to happen after all. Smirking at his thoughts he took Frankie's hand and lead him out of the pub, and toward the castle.
After walking for a bit he could feel the romance starting as he looked at the sky. The moon and stars brought out the vibe, and he stopped wanting to snog, and connect with Frankie. Killing the inner desire he was fighting all day he pressed his lips against Frankie's and proceeded to kiss. His heart sped up, and pounded in his chest as his tongue moved against Frankie's. Albus placed his hands on Frankie's back side, and when the kiss ended he smiled to himself. That was what he wanted all day, even after joking about not kissing Frankie after the vomit flavored bean. As he spoke of the song, and how he felt he took a minute to take in Frankie's reaction. Was Albus slowly falling for Frankie? It was true, and when looking the Ravenclaw in the eyes, he could admit that to himself. Albus blushed and wrapped his arms around Frankie, rested his head against the boy's chest. He could hear Frankie's heart beat, and he wondered something. "What are you thinking about right now?" Albus asked looking up at his date. His curiosity arose because he wondered if Frankie felt the same way he did. Albus wasn't sure he wanted to know the answer, but if kisses really showed true emotions he wouldn't be disappointed.

Frankie would have happily sat there all night long debating with Albus just how sexy he was. It was a fact and whether Albus believed it or not, that was just how it was. Frankie has always thought Albus was a good looking boy, even before his feelings for him developed into something deeper than friendship. Hell, if he needed to, he’d take a bloody poll from the students, male and female, and ask them if they thought Albus was sexy or not. Not that anyone else’s opinion actually mattered in this case, but just to prove it to Albus would have been enough of a reason to do that. And as much as he would have liked to continue this conversation, he was glad when the topic ended before he played his song.
After the song was done and they had paid and left the pub, they made their way back to the castle for some quality alone time. Frankie had joked about being worried what Albus had in store, but soon found himself blushing when Albus told him that they would be all alone in the Room of Requirement for a naughty session. Frankie could only imagine what that meant, though he had a pretty good idea what Albus had in mind. There was no alcohol this time, so Frankie wasn’t sure if this would be just like that night in the Student Lounge or not, but there was a big part of him that wished it would be. Frankie chuckled when Albus told him that he was the one who promised he’d talk dirty to him in French. “I did, and I will,” he said with a wink of his eye.
Kissing Albus in the moonlight had this resonating effect on Frankie, and he didn’t want the moment to end. He knew it would have to though, especially if the pair ever wanted to get up to the Room of Requirement. After a few minutes, the kiss ended and the two were still standing very close to one another. Albus had then asked Frankie what he was thinking and the Ravenclaw Keeper took a deep breath before he answered him. “If you really want to know,” Frankie started, bringing one of his hands up to his hair and running his fingers through it, “I was thinking how to go about asking you to be mine, and only mine,” Frankie said to him, watching Albus closely for his reaction to what Frankie was saying. Frankie didn’t just ask people out so this was new to him. He only hoped he got his point across.

YOU MIGHT BE CRAZY, BUT HAVE I TOLD YOU LATELYthat i love you, you're the only reason that i'm not afraid to fly • • • • • • Albus would have happily listened to Frankie speak naughty to him in French all night, even if he didn't understand it was sexy. Albus loved Frankie's accent in general, and his native language could have made anyone swoon. Albus bit his bottom lip thinking of what may happen in the room of requirement. His cheeks tinted pink with his own thoughts, if it was anything the the night of the student lounge, he'd be up for it. Albus would try to push himself past his insecurity if Frankie was willing to help him. It wasn't normal for him to do such things sober. Albus' mind would speak to him, and he'd become scared. He knew Frankie wouldn't let him, and he had all intention of pushing himself past the point of insecurity for Frankie. Doing things soberly, would also prove to him he was really falling in love. Albus wasn't really sure if Frankie had done anything since that night with anyone else, but he did feel guilty about his own drunken actions. Frankie didn't ask him about anything, and not another boy showed interest in wanting to be more then friends so he didn't see the point in speaking about it. Confessions would be made eventually, but he was too caught up in the moment of bliss love and happiness to admit to such things.
After they kissed Albus had wondered what was on Frankie's mind. It was only Albus to question everything he didn't know. His curiosity if Frankie felt the same way had him ask, and he looking up into those brown eyes and felt safe. At the first set of words he grew nervous, waiting for Frankie to finish his thoughts. At those words he gulped and a flood of emotions went through his mind. Albus' cheeks turned as red as the Gryffindor crest and he felt himself squeak a bit. Albus was lost for words, and he felt giddy and flattered at the same time. His heart raced as he shrugged into his shoulders, giving his adorable lopsided smile. Albus wanted to speak, but he couldn't bring himself to just yet, he needed to calm himself down before he said something stupid. He felt his palms start to get sweaty and he wiped them on his pants, looking up at Frankie. Bashful, this wasn't like him but he was so happy he could cry. Frankie had made this night perfect for him, and it was hardly over. Albus took a breath and tried to calm his thoughts, he'd have to tell Eva all about this, but for now he needed to keep his cool. "If that was you asking me to be your boyfriend..." Albus said softly looking up to meet eyes with Frankie. "Then I'd be honored, yes I will." Albus answered, the butterflies in his stomach fluttered, and he felt a certain heat flowing through out his body.
As nerve racking as the first kiss in the Astronomy tower, to this moment he felt infinite. Albus wasn't sure if he could have dated his best friend, but this moment now proved it was alright. He re-wrapped his arms around Frankie and held him close for a moment. He wasn't sure what was on the Ravenclaw's mind right now, or if he felt as happy as Albus, but he knew he wanted to get inside. He pulled away and took Frankie's hand. "Sorry if my palms are sweaty, but the most handsome boy in school just asked me out, so don't mind them." Albus mused with a wink. He picked up his bag and started toward the castle. Now just to get up to the room of requirement. Albus blushed again at the situation, he was Frankie's and only Frankie's now. It wasn't like he wasn't before, but now he had a title to own up to, and he knew being faithful was part of this whole dating thing. Albus opened the doors to the castle, and lead Frankie to the grand staircase, he avoided interaction with the professors, and other students making his way to the seventh floor. Albus fought the urge to push Frankie against the wall, and claim his lips but moments like those lasted a while, and he didn't want to get caught. Perhaps someday he'd take Frankie to the perfect bathroom with him, for the first time. Albus was responsible, and never risked it before but now it seemed like a lovely idea. He was sure he wasn't the only one, who snuck a lover into that room.
A lover, Albus liked his new title for Frankie. As the two appeared in front of the opening and closed his eyes and imagined a lovely bed room scene for he and Frankie. With snacks, and drinks and a cozy fireplace. Vanilla candles set up around the bed, lots of fluffy pillows. How cheesy he thought watching the door appear, and he quickly looked around before entering. Albus walked over to the bed taking a set, as he placed his bad beside him. He looked up at Frankie and smirked. "You going to stand there, and be cute all day, or are you going to join me?" Albus asked quirking an eyebrow. With his new title he also felt a bit more courageous.

When Albus had asked him what he was thinking, Frankie wasn’t sure if Albus was entirely prepared for what Frankie would tell him. Frankie wasn’t even sure if he was prepared for what he would say, but he knew what he needed and wanted to say and that is exactly what he did say. Once the words were said, Frankie felt more vulnerable than he had ever felt in his entire life and he stood there watching Albus carefully so that he could gauge his reaction to his statement. He saw Albus’ cheeks turn red and Frankie felt a swell of emotions within him as he watched Albus closely. His response would mean everything to Frankie, no matter what it was.
Frankie nodded his head when Albus first spoke, confirming that what Albus took from his words was exactly what Frankie had meant, and waited for his response. A grin broke on Frankie’s face when Albus told him that he'd be honored to be his boyfriend. He breathed a sigh of relief, trying to make it as quiet as he could so Albus wouldn’t hear it, and wrapped his arms around the Slytherin boy as he felt Albus’ arms circling him. Frankie never thought that he and Albus would come to this, and he hoped that it would last because he'd hate for it to be short-lived and ruin everything the pair has built up over the last ten plus years.
When their embrace came to an end, Albus took Frankie’s hand and began leading him back to the castle. Frankie laughed when Albus told him not to mind his sweaty palms because the most handsome boy at Hogwarts had just asked him out. “I’d disagree with you on that point, but then we’d be right back to the conversation from earlier about you being sexy, so I will just agree with you,” Frankie told Albus as he walked with him back to the castle. Once they were inside, the two made their way up to the seventh floor and to where the Room of Requirement was. Frankie let Albus create the room and followed Albus into it once the door appeared.
Frankie took in the room that surrounded him and he realized then just how much of a hopeless romantic Albus really was. Frankie didn’t mind though, even if he wasn’t confident that he’d lie up to any expectations Albus had about such things, especially with the books he reads. Nonetheless, Frankie would do his best, since he knew that labs would really appreciate it. He smirked at Albus when he patted the bed beside him and asked him if he was going to join him. “But of course I will,” he said in French as he moved closer to Albus. He sat down on the bed beside his new boyfriend and smiled at him. “So what other plans did you have for me this evening,” he said with a grin.
