He had seemingly promised the Herbology Professor he would take care of the plants whilst they were away for a while. It seemed none of the other Professors were fully willing to do such a favor or the Professor really didn't think of asking anybody else. Not that Teddy really minded it did not hurt him to wonder outside and get a breath of fresh air. If anything, he figured the other staff said it would be good for Teddy. He did often lock himself away in his office or room and just grade papers, or decipher Ancient Runes rather it be for the Ministry or his own fun. People often said once Torie left him he seemed to shield away from everyone. Yet, in Teddy’s mind he always had that habit it was just he had more to do, and more places to go with Victorie around. She was his light that dragged him around from place to place causing him to have a more social persona.
Not that he wasn’t totally unsocial now. He was a Professor here at Hogwarts after all. He had to deal with students on a daily basis. Then he had those select few people that still would show up in his office to talk to him. One of those people being his little sister...adopted sister but still his sister nonetheless. He really hated when people would clarify that for him. When he was in grade school and he would refer to the Potter's as his siblings, they'd often go 'no. you're a lupin. not a potter. your parents are dead.' sometimes as much as he hated it, he let that stick inside his mind. It was mainly the Slytherin kids that did that to him. It didn't matter how much they claimed him their own a part of him always felt like the oddball in the family because he was. But, grateful he was for them because if it wasn't for them he'd be totally alone in the world.
Teddy was fortunate to be adopted into such a loving family. If it wasn't for them his life really would pass him by with no joy. He would be so involved in work and really feel fully alone. Being a part of the Weasley's and Potter's only meant that he was never fully alone. Working at Hogwarts also assured that. Teddy did love to spend time with loved ones but sometimes time slipped from him without even noticing it. It was good he had those people that made sure to take him away once in a while...people that care about him. Those people he cared about too.
Wondering around inside the Greenhouse he started watering some plants. Frowning at a dead one he touched it without even thinking anything of it. That's when he jumped back because the thing fricken shocked him. "Ow!" he gave it a heated glare, as if it were a human being and scoffed out a, "Well, I was going to try to give you a jump start...but not after that. Blimey thing...". sometimes he swore plants had a mind of their own...actually he was certain some did.

Post by LILY LUNA POTTER on Jul 26, 2013 23:22:23 GMT -5
Lily had found him, a boy messing around with the plants in the herbology sanctuary. A Slytherin boy had knocked over a few plants and he had broke some pots. The spilled soil, and the crying mandrakes, wanted to make her scream. Lily was so frustrated and worst of all he was laughing. The girl pulled out her wand and cast the binding spell. "Petrificus Totalus" Lily said watched the boy freeze and fall to the ground. There was no way she was allowing this to go unpunished. Lily had always had a way with plants, ever since she was a girl. Lily couldn't believe someone could act this way. Treat nature as if it was nothing, well she'd show him. Perhaps his head of house would like to handle his punishment. Lily dragged the boy across the grounds, and into the castle. She'd have to head back and help clean the greenhouses when she was finished. After making her way to the Transfiguration class room she dropped the boy on the floor. Lily demanded that Professor Donovan punish him for what he had done. Lily was far from a saint, but she was respectful. Once she was told everything would be handled with a detention she left.
Lily walked the corridors of Hogwarts. Lil had always felt obligated to help with the greenhouses when he professor was away. To find someone, messing with her passion it angered her. Lily traveled back across the grounds and entered the green house. She'd need to get this mess cleaned up before someone saw. Lily used a cleaning charm to help with the big things then she took a broom and swept the magical soil into a pile. The sound of someone's footsteps caused her to duck down and crawl under the table. The redhead hadn't finished cleaning everything so she didn't want to be blamed. Lily was used to taking the blame, living with three brothers would do that to one. She saw nothing but the shoes of a man and she hoped she wouldn't be discovered. Trying to remain silent she crawled toward the door. She looked back seeing the person go to reach for one of the plants. The shock, and reaction caused her to giggle to herself. Lily would recognize that voice anywhere. Theodore Lupin.
Teddy had been her adopted brother since she had been a baby. Lily was always the closest to Teddy, welcoming him and trying to make him feel like family. She knew his story, and from a early age she accepted who he was. Lily loved Teddy, and was torn when he and Torie broke up. She wondered how Teddy was anyways. Lily poked her head up, getting to her feet. "Your not suppose to do it like that Teddy." Lily scolded him walking over to where the plant had been. It was far from dead. Lily looked to some plant food and placed it in front of the plant. While the little git was distracted she grabbed it and shoved it in a pot, sprinkling soil on it. A dimpled smirk spread across her lips and she looked to Teddy. "Teddy Lupin!" Lily said excitedly as she wrapped her arms around him, squeezing tightly. Lily looked up. "How have you been?" Lily asked. She had always been one to bug Ted and pry at him for details about his life. Never the less, they loved one another dearly. Lily let her arms fall from around him and walked over to the table taking a seat. She was glad she ran into someone who was good company rather then a professor who would attempt to blame the mess on her.

"Bloody hell!"
He nearly jumped right out of his ruddy shoes. Turning to face his younger sister his face turned a flush of red. Goodness gracious, it just had to be her ¬¬that caught him in this impeccable moment. Growing up in a home with Lily, he learned that she seemed to always have a special gift with nature. The plants would always grow a bit faster, and stronger for her. They always seemed to be much brighter with her. It made sense really...she had that natural charm about her. He swore she could charm her way into anything she wanted. The plants, animals, and even many people were easily dazzled by her existence. She had the poor Potter men wrapped around her precious little finger the moment she had been born.
She was like Teddy’s little guardian angel on earth. He knew he had two loving angels up in heaven but little Lily kept him chipper in a way someone up in the heavens could not. She could physically be there to help him keep his head held high. She was always the one person in all the Weasley's and Potter's that made him fully feel a part of the family. The one that seemingly washed past the fact he was a Lupin and never made him feel like an outsider. Not that the rest of the family did it was just that Lily Potter had a different era about her and he appreciated her for that. She was like the rainbow that appeared after a storm.
Even while his finger with throbbing from the ruddy plant he could not help but to get a bright big smile upon seeing that cheerful girl's face. Even in the midst of her laughing, he rather chose to laugh alongside her then get bent out of shape. "Oh blimey, I should have called upon you to help with these ruddy things," he spoke as he wrapped his arms around her returning the hug. As the pulled, away he gave her another quick smile. "The ruddy thing doesn't like me." he declared. He still to this day did indeed feel like they all had a mind of their own. He remembered Ol' Uncle Ron telling him about how one plant bit him in his second year at Hogwarts. If that did not scream 'i can think,' he didn't know what else would!
"I've been..." he paused, trying to figure out the right words to use. His mind had been all over the place as of late with the recent events happening around the Wizarding World...and that Victorie Weasly girl. Both things he wanted to steer clear of for the sake of all that is humane. "decent." he finally decided on. "How about you?" his eyes averting around the greenhouse with a questionable look but he chose not to question her on it right now. He was sure within a few moments what had happened would be spilling out of her mouth. That and he wasn't too concerned knowing very well it'd be taken care of because if he knew one thing about Lily Potter it was that she cared about these plants. It was a passion of hers after all.
