VINDICATED! I AM SELFISH, I AM WRONG.I AM RIGHT, I SWEAR I'M RIGHT. SWEAR I KNEW IT ALL ALONG Albus had woken up from a well rested night. The boy laid in his bed and looked at the dormitory ceiling for a moment. Today, he had a couple things to do, he'd handle his prefect duties, have his first study date with Aiden Vaisey and he had something else he needed to do. Albus scratched his chin for a moment, he wasn't normally forgetful. Albus forced himself from bed, it had been a Saturday afternoon, and he could already tell by the way his dorm mates were dressing, it was a warm one outside. Albus loved the warm weather, but not as much as the snow. The heat always made it harder for him to breath, with his asthma so he tended to stay out of full contact with the sun. Of course he'd have his exceptions, where he'd brave the weather for some fun, but Albus much rather enjoy the cooler days. Albus took a quick shower and prepared for his day. Albus was excited to tutor Aiden, it had been a week or so since they had their heart to heart. Albus found Aiden to be good company, you'd never thing the two boys would mesh so well, but they did. Albus was thrilled he'd get to peek at the seventh year's books, Albus had already peeked at most of them but maybe Aiden took a class he hadn't got a chance to scope out.
When it came to tutoring Albus took his job very seriously, he loved to teach and would come to the conclusion he wanted to do this in life. Albus wasn't sure what subject yet, but he was sure everyone expecting him to take on Potions because of his middle namesake. Albus was thinking more along the lines of Defense against the dark arts, it wouldn't be uncommon for a boy with his talent to take on such a subject. Albus dressed in his black cargo shorts, and a light green t shirt, nothing too fancy. Albus told Aiden he'd meet him in the Great hall at noon for their studying session, but for now he'd have to go grab some letters from the head master, and do some delivering to the professors. Albus had already been informed he'd be doing this for his morning task. Albus made his way to the towers and grabbed the letters. The boy spent a little time with the head master, looking at all the pictures and accomplishments in the office. After he was finished, he broke to deliver the letters. Albus made his rounds, and when it was finally noon he was ready to go tutor Aiden.
Albus hadn't told Frankie about Aiden. It wasn't really something he was positive his boyfriend wanted to hear. Though he wanted to come clean, he couldn't. Frankie may have taken it the wrong way. Albus wasn't known to have flings, but something about Aiden the mystery and the alcohol, had him caught up in that night's events. Albus didn't regret it, it sort of helped him get over Ben quicker. Plus he had a soft spot for the other Slytherin boy. A couple weeks later he had started dating Frankie. All along he was going on dates with his current boyfriend, but they were not official. Albus just kept it all hidden from Frankie, if they were not together what did it matter? Here he was, cramming in some study time going over transfiguration, advanced charms, and potions with Aiden. The two cracked a joke here and there, and got side tracked but he enjoyed each moment. The window's had been slightly opened, and the sound of cheering only could have meant one thing. "Shit." That is what he forgot, Frankie had a bloody game today and his number one fan was missing. Albus apologized to Aiden, and cut the studying session short. Albus ran to the dungeon and quickly painted his boyfriend's number on his face, perhaps he could blend in and Frankie may have not noted he was absent for more then half of it. Panic flooded his mind, how would be explain this?
After he totally betrayed his house colors, and was decorated to cheer on his lover. Frankie's quidditch number had been painted on his cheek, in blue and silver. Albus ran out the common room. It took Albus what felt like forever to finally get outside. Albus made his way to the stands and walked up, getting into his seat. Albus looked to the score, and tried to avoid eye contact with Frankie. How could he forget this, it was so important to Frankie? Albus felt irresponsible. Frankie needed him, and he stood up as the game got intense. When Frankie blocked a quaffle, Albus got to his feet and whistled and cheered. "Wooo! Your amazing baby!" Albus shouted, not really caring who judged their relationship. It was no secret they were together, and if people judged them who cared? The boys were both non-conformists. Albus watched on as Ravenclaw played Hufflepuff, and when Mattheus caught the golden snitch he stood up and cheered. The teams broke for their tents and Albus walked down to the tent, waiting for Frankie to finish up. Albus was a prefect, he could have entered but after he screwed up enough, he didn't think that walking in on a bunch of changing boys would appeal to his boyfriend. Albus felt his heart skip a beat when Frankie pushed open the flap to the tent. Albus walked over and tried to play it off as if nothing was wrong. "Munchkin, you were brilliant out there!" Albus said sparks of excitement in his tone. He wrapped his arms around Frankie and looked up. "How do you feel after your victory?" Albus asked with a smile. she will tell of the man with no name smoke and mirrors have done her in SHE'S IN LOVE AND SHE WON'T BE AGAIN - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - -
There was little else that Frankie enjoyed more than a game of Quidditch, aside from spending time with Albus and his other close friends, of course. On game days, Frankie was usually up early and having a spot of breakfast first – everyone needed their energy for the big game – before heading down to the pitch to start warming up before the game. Sometimes his teammates went down with him early to take some practice shots at him, which was always a good idea. They were playing Hufflepuff today and Frankie was confident that his team would beat the puffs. Frankie knew that David, his fellow classmate, would have crammed in as many extra practices as possible for his Hufflepuff team, but that still didn't worry Frankie. He knew he was a good Keeper and that was all he cared about.
Once the two teams had gotten into the air, Frankie flew over to his goal posts and then looked through the crowd to find Albus. He frowned when he didn't see him at first, as he always saw him in the stands cheering for Frankie, and then figured that he would be coming soon enough, and had likely gotten detained with homework or some sort of prefect duty. He didn’t' let it bother him at first, though after the game started and was in play for almost an hour, Albus still had no shown up. Where was he, Frankie asked himself as he scanned the crowd before returning his attention back to the game. He kept checking back to the crowd to see if Albus was there, and each time feeling himself get more and more disappointed when he didn't see him.
And then, Frankie saw Albus decked out in Ravenclaw's blue and silver and Frankie's number painted on his face. Frankie noticed that Albus wouldn't look in his general direction when he was looking so Frankie chose to just focus on the game for right now. Truth be told, he was a bit annoyed that Albus only shown up now when he should have been there all along. There may have been a good reason for him being so late, but this was important to Frankie and he knew he'd never miss something that was really important to Albus. The Quaffle came towards Frankie and he made a spectacular save by kicking it with his right foot while hanging halfway off his broom. He then heard Albus cheer for him, but Frankie kept his eyes on the game because he didn't want to get more distracted than he already was.
Mattheus caught the Snitch and the game ended. Frankie cheered for his team as he flew over to the rest of them and followed them into the locker rooms so that they could change into their regular clothes. Frankie congratulated the team again for their performance and also Mattheus for catching the Snitch. That last goal Frankie had saved is what kept Ravenclaw in the lead. Had he let that go in, they would have tied Hufflepuff. When he was done changing, Frankie made his way out of the locker room and found Albus standing there waiting for him. Albus told him that he was brilliant during the game and threw his arms around him in hug. Frankie frowned for a brief moment, before Albus looked up at him and asked how he felt about his team's victory. Frankie found himself somewhat annoyed by that question.
He cleared his throat before he said anything. "Was I? Not sure how you'd know since you weren't here for most of the game," he told him with a slightly sour tone to his voice. It had come out a bit harsher than Frankie intended, but he was hurt and he let it show. "But I guess I feel good. We played hard, though we only won by ten points," he said. He wanted to add in at the end that Albus wouldn't have known it because he wasn't there to see it, but he held back because he had already commented on it once. He didn't see a need to repeat it. besides, from the uneasiness he's reading off Albus, he felt guilty already for missing the game. But Frankie could swear he saw more than that. "Where were you?" he asked curiously.

VINDICATED! I AM SELFISH, I AM WRONG.I AM RIGHT, I SWEAR I'M RIGHT. SWEAR I KNEW IT ALL ALONG Albus had been used to always being there on game day for Frankie. Ever since they were in first year Frankie seemed to love the game. It was in Albus' history to be somewhat part of the sport, weather it was actually being forced to play or just cheering from the side lines he took a part. Albus had never really got over his fear of heights, so he didn't play and his father didn't frown upon it. Albus also had really bad asthma and anxiety, two things he couldn't just get over. When Frankie made the quidditch team, Albus was a young boy. He had promised Frankie he'd always been there cheering him on, and pledged to be his number one fan. Albus lived by that, he had gotten side tracked and forgot, which was highly out of character for the Potter boy. Getting all caught up in studying with Aiden, it had slipped his mind, but it was only one game. When Albus noticed it, he dashed for his fan gear. After he was finished he mentally kicked himself for being irresponsible. Though he made a commitment to Frankie, he had also made of to Aiden. Which was more important? Albus was unsure of, because Aiden needed help before he graduated, which was soon. And the importance of the game to Frankie meant a lot as well. Aiden was a new friend Albus was trying to prove his loyalty to, after their heart to heart. But, Frankie his boyfriend and best friend, how'd he get into this mess?
Albus walked with his head down, watching each step he took on his way to the tent. That look in Frankie's eyes he witnessed from the stands already proved his boyfriend was upset with him. Albus hated disappointing people, but there was only one of him. Then there was a dark secret he had kept from Frankie, because he didn't feel it was important to speak of. Frankie would surely be pissed if he caught on to the fact, Albus missed half his game because he was off tutoring the boy he had fooled around with. Frankie wouldn't understand, he wouldn't accept that. Albus knew his boyfriend had a temper, he knew how angry Frankie could be. The two were neighbors most of their lives, and sad to say they did bicker here and there. Albus and Frankie were not picture perfect, they disagreed at times. Every friendship had it's rocky points, but there was nothing they couldn't over come right? If Frankie was falling for Albus, the way Al was falling for him, they could make it past this. Albus didn't like feeling like he was holding something from Frankie. He even swore Frankie to secrecy, when he told him about the night he had with Eva. Eva didn't need to know that, but surely Albus wouldn't keep that from his best friend. Aiden and he were a different story, one Aiden was a male and Albus knew that jealousy Frankie had. Then secondly, Albus had full knowledge of Frankie's crush at that point. It was just complex, he needed that night with Aiden when he did have it. Albus was mentally having a war, while he waited outside the tent for his boyfriend.
Guilt, he couldn't help to feel it when his blue-green eyes locked with Frankie's brown ones. Albus was already feeling insecure. Albus tried to play it off, and tell Frankie he was brilliant. Albus' smile faded when Frankie said he wasn't there for most of the game, and his eyes fell to the ground. Albus listened to Frankie speak, but he couldn't help the uneasy feeling in his stomach. Frankie asked where he was, and Albus looked up and blinked a few times. Pressure, he needed to answer now. "I was doing prefect duties." Albus lied, his voice cracking was a sure indicator that he was indeed lying. Albus looked away for a moment, he knew Frankie knew something was up now. How are you going to get yourself out of this one Potter? he questioned himself. Albus wasn't guilty of anything but missing some of the game, he reminded himself that. It wasn't like he was swooning over Aiden Vaisey, and flirting. The two boys were bloody studying for Merlin's sake. Albus sighed and ran his fingers through his hair. "That... and I was tutoring someone. I forgot about the game, and the moment I realized I did, I got here. I dropped everything and I ran here." Albus told Frankie he couldn't lie to his boyfriend. Relationships were about trust. Albus had gotten here fast, he ran and he normally didn't run because he didn't like when his asthma acted up. That wasn't the issue though, he felt it was time to admit his wrongs to Frankie. To make his boyfriend aware he had a fling. "Can we take a walk away from everyone else, and talk about this?" Albus asked, looking into his boyfriend's eyes.
Albus didn't wait for an answer, he just slipped his hand into Frankie's and lead his boyfriend toward the grounds were it was less populated. When the two boys were far enough away, he stopped by a shady tree and took a seat in the grass, petting the spot beside him. "Don't stand over me, sit with me. I have a lot to say." Albus said, he didn't want to feel more intimidated when he already felt. The butterflies in his stomach, made him feel like he was going to puke. Where to begin? "I didn't mean to miss your game, Frankie. I just made another commitment." Albus told Frankie his cheeks turning a shade of pink as he remembered his night with Aiden. This was going to be a long afternoon.

she will tell of the man with no name smoke and mirrors have done her in SHE'S IN LOVE AND SHE WON'T BE AGAIN - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - -
When Frankie had set out for the pitch that day, he had no doubt that Albus would be there cheering him on throughout the game. Even before they had started dating, Albus had never missed a game and Frankie always loved having his best mate there to support him. Even when Ravenclaw played Slytherin, Albus cheered for him, though Frankie never got upset when Albus also cheered for his own house. He would never ask him to go against his house, just as he knew Albus would never ask Frankie to do that if he played Quidditch. It wasn't like Frankie was asking that much of Albus or anything. And as both his boyfriend and his best friend, so it wasn't as if there were too many other people who were more important. That could be thought of as arrogant of Frankie, but he knew how loyal Albus was, so for him to miss something important to him, it would have to be for a very good reason.
When Albus came up to him after the game had ended acting like he had been there the whole time, Frankie got upset. He was sure his emotions were obvious in his facial expression and with also how he spoke to Albus. He had made it clear that he knew Albus had barely arrived to the game before it had ended, and he could see that Albus realized that he was caught, and rightfully so. Frankie knew that Albus would be in a foul mood if he had done the same thing to him. When Frankie asked Albus where he had been, he wanted to know what had been so important for him to miss the game. Frankie arched a single eyebrow when Albus told him he was doing his prefect duties. Frankie knew that was a lie. They didn't usually schedule prefect patrols in the middle of the day during a Quidditch match. There were several prefects that played Quidditch, so that would be unfair if they were assigned to patrol when they had to play a match.
Albus then told him that he had been tutoring someone and that he had forgotten about the game. Frankie found that a bit unnerving. He knew that Albus enjoyed tutoring and that he wanted to be a professor someday, but the fact that he had even scheduled a tutoring session during a game day told Frankie that he hadn't been thinking about him even when the agreement to tutor that day had been made. Who had he been tutoring? Was it someone that had managed to turn Albus around enough to make him forget Frankie, his best friend and boyfriend, entirely? That unsettled Frankie a great deal and he blinked when Albus told him that they take a walk and talk about it. Frankie could tell that didn't want to have their conversation around anyone, which caused Frankie to worry a bit. "All right," he said simply as Albus took his hand and began to lead him away from the Ravenclaw tent. He began to mentally prepare himself for whatever was about to happen, though it was hard to prepare when he had no idea what was coming.
The pair walked towards the grounds and Frankie felt his throat tighten slightly. They stopped by a shady tree and Albus sat down. He patted the grassy spot next to him and asked Frankie to sit because he had a lot to say. This can't be good, Frankie thought to himself as he slowly lowered himself down to the ground beside Albus. He said nothing, waiting for Albus to speak first since he was the one that wanted to take this little walk. Clearly he was the one that had something on his mind to get off. Once he did speak, Frankie felt a new wave of frustration wash over him and he raked his fingers through his hair. "Yeah, you said that. You were helping someone study," he said, his tone a bit on the harsh side. He couldnt help it though, he was annoyed at how easily he had been forgotten by the one person aside from his parents who should never do that. "Who were you tutoring? You couldn't have picked a day when you didn't already have a commitment to me?" he asked.

VINDICATED! I AM SELFISH, I AM WRONG.I AM RIGHT, I SWEAR I'M RIGHT. SWEAR I KNEW IT ALL ALONG Albus figured it was best to walk away from the tent to prevent anyone hearing this confession he didn't want to make. Somewhere he felt Frankie should know, and maybe the trust would kill the pent up guilt. Guilt, that he had intimately been with someone else while he was still in his trial period with Frankie. The two agreed to take things slowly, but the moment Ben came back into his life he was at a lost for what to do. Ben tore him down, made him feel less of a person. Frankie always talked him through it, but after knowing his friend had feelings for him, he didn't know what to believe. It hurt him to be confused and broken. Re-broken time and time again. Ben had a habit of walking in and out of his life when he was just starting to heal, and that evidently threw his head for a spin. When being with Aiden he wasn't thinking about feelings. Who he could hurt, what he could damage. It was one of those spur of the moment things, he just went along with. Albus felt easy the next morning. He remembered not knowing what to do when he just wanted to feel again. That's when it started. He needed to be closer to Aiden to kill that feeling of not meaning again. Frankie wasn't on his mind, and he actually had started a friendship with the older boy. Albus knew thinking about every detail before making this confession was the right thing to do, and how would Frankie react?
The anxiety set in when he took a seat in the grass. He began to tell Frankie were he was and his boyfriend's tone caused him to look down. Albus had been helping someone study, someone he had a fling with behind Frankie's back. He knew it wasn't cheating, well not in his eyes, but how would Frankie see it? How he leave Albus? It was scary to think of his life without Frankie. Someone who was always there to keep him secure when his self esteem was deteriorated to nothing. "Who does it matter who I was tutoring?" Albus asked defensive, and in the distance he saw the male he was indeed tutoring. Aiden came toward him and confessed he had rushed away so fast, he forgot his book. Albus took the book and smiled hesitantly. Well this way awkward. As the other male left the scene he placed his book aside. "Well, there you have it I was torturing Aiden Vaisey." Albus confessed. That wasn't the hard part he would have happily confessed to who he was tutoring, but he got defensive because Frankie asked him so abruptly. His cheeks heated with thoughts of the night he shared with Aiden. How it felt hypnotic to gaze into those mysterious brown eyes. Even drunk, he could remember trying to read into the older boy. Albus puffed out his cheeks, he wasn't sure how to say this. Frankie must have wondered why tutoring Aiden would have made him forget about the game, and Albus used the word commitment which may have stroked the Ravenclaw the wrong way.
All relationships were about commitment. Weather it be a friendship or an actually intimate relationship. "I know your not going to like what I want to tell you. But I need to get it off my conscious and you deserve to know the truth." Albus said looking into the distance. He wasn't good under pressure but he felt like he had the stage. Albus' mouth felt dry, he felt like he was going to throw up. He didn't want to be saying this, but he had to. "Aiden and I, we had a thing a month or two back." Albus said shying away from words that would get his boyfriend upset. A thing? That was the best he could come up with? Albus sighed and looked at Frankie. "We hooked up. It was a couple days after Ben came back into my life. I know we were kind of...well, we were not officially dating, but I wasn't thinking about you." Albus admitted he wanted to cry he looked away he couldn't look into Frankie's eyes and see that pain. He knew it was there but he didn't want to see pain or anger. "Frankie, I..I was just upset about Ben. Aiden made be feel like a rebel, and special for the night. I was drinking, and I didn't want to feel." Albus explained further looking over at his boyfriend. "I know your upset, and I didn't want to hurt you. That's the last thing I wanted to do. That doesn't justify my actions but at least I was honest, maybe that accommodates for something." Albus said he ruffled his hair out of habit. He felt a bit better now that, that was all in the open. He wished he could read minds just to know what Frankie was thinking but then again would he want to know what Frankie was thinking? For the moment he was content with his confession but he braced himself for any kind of reaction.

she will tell of the man with no name smoke and mirrors have done her in SHE'S IN LOVE AND SHE WON'T BE AGAIN - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - -
When Albus first asked Frankie if they could take a walk to talk, Frankie felt a sense of dread wash over him. Clearly there was something that Albus didn't want to say in front of anyone else, something that Frankie felt would get him upset and possibly even angry over. Did Albus know that Frankie would react badly, and that was why he wanted to be away from others? Frankie had no idea of that was the case or not, but the way Albus was acting wasn't making it an unlikely fact. Frankie went with Albus anyway, eager to hear what had been so much more important than him. He started it with a lie, saying that he had been performing his prefect duties, and Frankie had merely given Albus a look like 'yeah, right' to which he was sure the Slytherin knew Frankie was aware that he was lying.
And then the truth came out; he was tutoring someone. Frankie was okay with Albus tutoring people, especially since he knew that Albus really enjoyed helping others with their studies and that he wanted to be a professor someday. That was all fine and dandy for Frankie, but the fact that Albus had scheduled a tutoring session during one of Frankie's games only told the Ravenclaw that he was the furthest thing from Albus' mind. And when he asked Albus who he was tutoring, Albus got defensive and asked why it mattered who he was tutoring. That right there told Frankie that there was a whole lot more to this story than what Albus was telling him. And this was getting Frankie even more annoyed and upset with the whole situation. He didn't know why Albus felt the need to lie to him, or get so defensive when Albus is the one who, in Frankie's eyes, messed up.
Before Frankie could ask or say anything further on the matter, they were joined briefly by an older Slytherin, Aiden Vaisley, who had brought Albus his textbook and said that he had forgotten it because he had rushed away so fast. Frankie could have sworn he noticed a smirk on the older male's lips before he walked away and Frankie looked at Albus to gouge his facial expression, and the look of guilt that crossed his eyes. "And you couldn't tell me that was who you were tutoring, why?" he asked, his annoyance and frustration edging its way into his tone of voice. And who could really blame him? If it was just a tutoring session like Albus said, which Frankie was inclined not to believe since he knew Albus had already lied to him once about his whereabouts during the game, he didn't see why it was such a big deal to dance around it, and the facts pertaining to it. What was Albus hiding?
And then it came out. Albus told him that he wasn't going to like what was to be said, and Frankie was sure Albus was right. He hadn't been pleased with anything Albus has said so far, so he didn't doubt there were more unpleasant things to come. Frankie clenched his jaw when Albus told him that he and Aiden had a thing a month or two ago. Frankie wondered what sort of thing they had, though he was sure he understood it. A month or two again, that would have made it have been right around the time he and Albus started dating, or directly before that, though Frankie wondered if that meant it happened while he and Albus were going on their dates and, as they had agreed, taking it slow. And then Albus told him that it was right after Ben came back into his life and that Frankie and Albus weren't officially dating yet. Well that answered that question.
Frankie remained silent as Albus continued to tell Frankie about Aiden and how he hadn't been thinking about Frankie – that much was obvious – and that he was just upset about Ben and how Aiden made him feel like a rebel. Did Albus think that these excuses were going to make Frankie feel better? That he wasn't going to feel like a fool because he had put his heart out there, in the Slytherin's hands, only now to be made to feel like he was an idiot for thinking that Albus really cared about taking it slow and wanting to see where things between them would go? He clearly didn’t, as far as Frankie was concerned, because screwing around with Aiden wasn't really giving them a chance. Frankie was actually insulted that Albus was telling him that he didn't want to feel and that he was trying to justify his actions. Did this mean he would do it again in the future and try to pass it off with some other excuse?
Frankie blinked at Albus' final words. Him telling him about that fling now was supposed to make it all better? Was Albus seriously mental or something? Frankie didn't know what to say, but he knew that he felt no better about this simply because Albus finally decided to tell him the truth. And even then, Frankie was sure that this would have remained a secret had he not missed his game and Aiden came up to them to blow open Albus' lies. "Upset doesn’t even begin to cover what I am feeling right now, Albus," Frankie said, his tone a mixture of pain and anger. "And you’re right, there is no justification to your actions," he said as he looked away from Albus. He couldn't look at him right now.
"And your forced honesty doesn’t make up for anything either," he said as he closed his eyes briefly. "You only told me this because you missed my game and I know you did, and Aiden came over here to give you your book," he said as he ran his fingers through his hair. "I wouldn't know any of this had those two things not have happened, so don't sit there and make it seem like you would have told me anyway. If that were true, then you wouldn't have waited this long," he said. "And telling me that you weren't thinking about me doesn't make it any better. Have you any idea how much that hurts? To know that I clearly meant nothing to you to not even warrant a thought while you were merlin knows what with that bloke?" Frankie blinked. He had no idea were Albus' mind was, but it was clearly on some other planet right now.
