Fred wasn't too happy with his progress this year. He felt like he was left behind, and that he was in some senses. James was graduating this year. He wasn't sure what he'd do, the two had been inseparable their whole lives. Fred got expelled for his fifth year, and it caused a huge damper in all his plans. Fred's grades this year were much better, but only because he felt like he had the ministry breathing down the back of his neck. Fred always felt less of himself because of the event that happened fifth year. Almost exposing the wizarding word to muggles, could have ended him in worst then being a year behind all his friends. He could have been in Azkaban. Luckily uncle Harry was still alive, and used his power as an Auror to get Fred back in school. He missed his uncle, especially since the anniversary was so close. He hoped James, and the rest of the Potters were handling everything well. It all seemed kind of hopeless to dwell on, nothing could change time, and the past was already set in stone.
Fred knew that, and that was why he came up with a rather brilliant idea so everyone could celebrate being young, and reckless one more time. Well at least one more time for the graduates, truth be told Fred had another year of parties to plan. James, along with the rest of his friends should be happy, they were moving on from the school to continue their lives, and Fred wanted to make that known to them. The idea was placed in his head the other day, when he lit a firecracker the sparks flew and he knew there was only thing to do. Have a party, but not just any party. A bonfire, where they could invite all the older students to celebrate, drink and watch fireworks set off by Fred himself. The idea seemed very appealing. It had been a while since he actually enjoyed a night like that. From the past Fred remembered the professors would have a conference toward the mid month, at plan NEWTS, and it just seemed like the perfect occasion. Fred could see it now, James would totally be down and could convince Chloe to help them organize this whole thing. Fred and James could sneak to Hogsmeade and load up on boozes and possible food items. Maybe even make the bonfire a little cookout scene. He'd have to inquire with his cousin and see what James thought. Id there was anything Fred knew, James wouldn't turn down a party.
Fred weaved his way through the halls of the castle and went up a few flights of stairs. He and James would normally meet in the common room for casual chat around this time. It was after dinner, and there were no more classes for the night. When he arrived in the common room he furrowed an eyebrow wondering where his cousin was. Fred walked around for a moment before walking up the spiral stair case to their dorm. Nothing? Well he guessed he could get comfortable in his pajamas and then continue his search. James may have just been doing something quidditch, or girl related. Fred could respect that. He got into a pair of navy blue sweat pants and a white tank top and looked himself over in the mirror. Fred mouthed vain statements to his reflection for a moment before deciding to take his party to the common room. But not without his bottle of cognac, he wasn't normally a cognac drinker but he figured why not, when in Hogsmeade. He grabbed a metal thermos, and transfered the brown liquid into the bottle. Fred didn't need the head of house walking in catching him drinking. He made his way to the couches of the common room and took a seat. After staring at the dancing flame in the fire place he was caught off guard by the portal opening. There he was James. Fred smirked a little. "Just the man I wanted to see, sit I have huge plans to discuss with you." Fred said sparks of excitement in his words. Fred couldn't wait to have James' input and additions.

- - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - -The end of the year was rapidly approaching and the oldest Potter child would soon be leaving Hogwarts for good, and becoming an adult with a job and actual responsibilities. That was something James has never had before, and there were times when he wasn't so sure he would be able to handle it. He's never really had to take responsibility for anything in his life, always have a way out in some way, shape, or form. But now, with only a month or so, if even, remaining in his Hogwarts career, the Gryffindor Seeker was nervous about his upcoming endeavors and he was also unsure of himself in many different ways. He knew that he wanted to play professional Quidditch, and that he has already secured himself a few tryouts with some of the British-Irish league teams, but there was no guarantee that he would make any of them, even if he was the oldest son of Harry Potter.
As James sat in the common room thinking about this, his eyes caught the clock and wondered where his cousin Fred was. They were normally chatting away about something or another by this time, so the fact that his cousin wasn't there yet made James curious. Did he find someone else to occupy his time in a better way than James could? There were only a few things that Fred would ditch him for, and none would upset James. With the end of the year looming over them, James couldn't help but feel a bit sad about the fact that Fred would not be leaving Hogwarts permanently with him at the end of the year. He still had one more year, even though the boys were the same age, but that was because Fred had been expelled back in their fifth year for accidentally breaking the Statute of Secrecy and revealing magic to a Muggle. Harry had been the one to get him back into school, but that would include him staying an extra year for good measure.
Needing to go to the bathroom, James stood from his position on the couch and headed to the loo. Once he was done, he returned to the common room to find Fred there in his jimmers. "Oh really?" James asked with a curious smirk on his face. James moved back over to the couch he had been sitting in prior to going to the bathroom and sat down in it, waiting for Fred to join him. "What did you want to talk to me about?" James asked with a devilish grin. He could only imagine what plans his cousin had concocted in his absence that Fred wanted to discuss with him. James more often than not enjoyed Fred's ideas so he was confident that this instance would be no different. "Well, come on them, spit it out. You can't leave me waiting all day," James said, feeling the excitement building up in anticipation.
