No, Albus did not want to conform to going to this Masquerade Ball event. It was just another teenage social gathering he would like to completely wipe off his calendar. One he had no date, two he didn't know what to wear and three, he couldn't dance. Why go to a ball if you couldn't dance? Albus understood the slow dancing part but during a fast song he would make a fool of himself. It would be extremely embarrassing and he didn't want to hear about it for months after. Albus never knew why he was so pessimistic when it came to being involved with a group event, he just was. Then there were friends like Jack and Frankie whom wanted him to take part in such vulgarity. Albus sighed, it was night he could hear the talk in the common room, the laughter and everyone staying how good one another looked. He guess he'd just wait til it was empty to even start getting ready.
Albus was doing extra credit work, not that he needed it or anything it was just his view of fun. Al wondered if Jax would be at the Snow ball, then he giggled to himself shaking his head. It would be highly likely for him to be there with that girl he liked. Albus looked at the his stop watch as it read seven thirty. A smirk crossed his lips and right as he felt procrastinating was his best bet. Then it occurred to him someone from his own house may try to grab him. Possibly Jack or worst Anna. This was no good he had to think quickly where could he go where there would be no one to bother him? Think quickly Potter. The student lounge was perfect, who in their right mind would think of him going to a place where social gathering usually took place. Albus got up looking himself over, he was only in his pajamas but it wasn't like he needed to impress anyone tonight. Albus grabbed one of his books and his quill and darted out of the dormitory. The boy walked through the common room pushing his way past the gossiping, excited students. Out of the corner of his eye he saw Jack and he walked a bit quicker. Once out of there he walked the dungeons making his way up the levels to the fourth floor.
Albus looked from side to side and took out his wand muttering a spell to unlock student lounge. A smirk crossed his lips and he entered skimming his surroundings. The room was lit up with only fire places. To his surprise it was warm. Upon entering he took a seat by a fire place letting his aqua eyes examine the flames. He softly slightly content, opening his book until he heard footsteps. Albus then captured Jack and he grinned sheepishly. "Before you ask no, I'm not going to that ball." Albus stated placing his book beside him. It dawned on him he wasn't going to get any studying done tonight. "Did you follow me up here?" Albus asked quirking a brow. If he knew anything from the past, Jack was always one to try to get him to engage in social events. "Why aren't you down at the ball, it's that your side of the fence? I mean you could always keep me company if you choose, I just assumed you'd rather be having fun." Albus admitted unsure if the other boy would demand his presence to be mandatory at that ball. If so he'd put up a hell of a fight, but the bottle at hand had him in wonderment for now

Jack wasn't sure how to feel about the ball, it was all Valentine's and Love themed and he hardly had either. It wasn't that girls didn't attract his attention because they sure did but not really any enough to stay. His best friend was a girl, his other friend was a girl as well though that had ended quite suddenly regretfully. Sometimes things were better left unsaid. Jack buttoned up his dress shirt and left his bow tie untied around his neck for now, his jacked draped over his arm as he walked down the stairs from the Boys dormitory. The room was filled with couples and everyone that was attending and the few that were not. You could easily tell by the attire, the dresses that the girls were wearing and the dapper dress robes the men wore. However, he had spend the better part of a week convincing many to attend, what was the point of a ball if no one was going to attend. For the most part he had been successful and to be honest it hadn't been all that difficult to convince his fellow classmates to sacrifice one night of studying, sleeping or doing nothing to attend such a social gathering. Standing still at the bottom of the steps he said few words to people who greeted him and he spotted who he was looking for. How someone could be so anti-social was beyond him, he had people on his side to help him with his mission of dragging Albus Potter to the ball, the boy didn't socialize at all and as he was a sixth year and prefect Jack would be damned if the boy didn't get out of his bubble already.
Scoping the room he finally spotted him and saw that he was leaving the dormitory and hardly dressed for any social occasion. Making sure he had his favorite dress jacket he followed and pushed through the crowd, though not to alarm anyone. Exiting he followed from a distance and tried to keep quite from the glass clinking in the charmed pocket of his jacket. Bottles. Of what you ask? Alcohol. It was the almost unspoken duty as Head Boy to tend to these matters, although spiking the punch was rare he figure he would keep it light and not obviously strong, and have enough left over to subdue Al over here. Jack saw him enter and making sure the coast was clear he followed him inside after a few moments and saw him reading already, how boring. Who said anything about a ball? Granted he was all dressed up, but he would just have to plan to be fashionably late. Can't two mates just have a drink? By this point Jack had pulled one of the bottles from his jacket pocket, firewhiskey, and he gently laid the jacket on an unused chair of many. Also from the pocket he produced two glasses and poured a couple fingers for the both of them. I don't know why you refuse to have any fun Al, it would do you some good. Jack didn't intend for this to take long, the boy hardly looked the type to hold his liquor well and maybe they would get him to that dance.
Drink? He offered the glass to him, his own in his other hand. It was time to loosen him up, get him out of his shell and to relax. Jack himself felt relaxed, although his outfit showed him ready to go to the ball he'd already informed a few friends he would be late and to not wait up for him, though Anna would fret he really was also avoiding people.

Albus smirked listening to Jack play like he wasn't going to try to persuade him to go to that teen function. Albus never saw the point in going to dances and what not. It wasn't like he was scared to ask one of his female friends to tag along, it was in his eyes a waste of time. Albus was picky about what he allowed himself to do. The last ball he went to he was kidnapped by his ex-boyfriend and pressured. The memories stuck with him and going outside of his normal set routine had him screwed and heart broken in the end. There was always a logical explanation to why Albus didn't do things. The boy had recently turned sixteen and he understood people where concerned with his mindset, seeing how everything was falling apart in his life, but he liked to have alone time. When alone he could live in his own little fantasy. Anything he wanted could happen, only thing that he lacked in his world were actual memories.
"Well, no one said anything but I had a vibe seeing your all snazzy and following me." Albus admitted looking over the boy, he did look very handsome tonight. Yet Albus wouldn't comment on that, it would be awkward. Albus looked to the bottle as the boy offered him a reason for being here. "Well I suppose a drink never hurt anyone." Albus replied shrugging a bit. It was better then reading and catching up on studies. Albus wasn't his normal studious self when he was drunk, he enjoyed how he switched and could act out and not have to remember it in the morning. Nights with Ben were like that once upon a time. Only problem was he didn't like to party all the time. On occasion he enjoyed it, only in a safe environment and around those he trusted.
Albus looked down for a moment thinking about Jack's words. "I do have fun, just as recently I..erm... umm... awe who am I kidding?" Albus said taking the class from Jack's hand. He looked at the liquid and brought the glass to his lips taking a large drink. The burning sensation didn't easy up as it traveled down to his stomach causing him to wince a bit. "Look every time I have fun something bad happens so keep an eye on me. I can be quite the handful." Albus admitted getting comfortable on the couch. Albus was often negative in his frame of thought. His little sister always called him a downer but with all that he went through he figured he was entitled to be a little pessimistic. Albus was a wild one then he drank, he enjoyed being the center of attention which was rare enough in it's self. The middle Potter was the quite one, who liked to stay in the the back, he hated being in the lime lite. Not to mention he was socially awkward. "So where's your other half? She must be looking for you. How long have you guys been dating again?" Albus asked taking a sip of his drink. He had a cheeky sly grin painted on his face and he knew Jack would know he was talking about Anna. Albus knew there was no real relationship going on between them, but he liked to make Jack think, and teasing him was the perfect way to get the ball rolling.

Oh, this old thing. Jack waived off the comment about his appearance. His tie wasn't even tied and hung lose around his neck and he set his glass down for a moment to roll up his sleeves up his forearms to be more comfortable while he was here. Albus took the drink that he had offered him and he didn't drink immediately, but Jack himself was thirsty had took a large sip himself. The burn was familiar and welcomed and he hardly flinched as he was used to this by now. Despite the fact that he could legally drink in the Wizarding World he had been drinking with friends and family and whatnot since even before that. It was not something so uncommon anymore and even part of this generation. Even if he didn't manage to get him to the dance he could at least give him a night of being drunk and a hangover to remember. Judging by his nature and size Jack didn't figure it would take a whole lot to get him there either. Responsibility was his priority while he was Head Boy and in his last year of school, but for now he could bend the rules in favor of the common good and Merlin knew that Jack wasn't the only one that thought Albus needed a night out. Jack had to stop himself from outright laughing, his defense in himself having any fun fizzled out quickly and he finished off the rest of his glass just as Albus had been starting his own.
Let me guess, an exciting adventure book? Jack liked to read himself but the real adventure was always better than the one you fantasized about. The concrete memories for another time or just the memories for yourself were always well worth it. Glancing back as he walked back to where he had left the bottle he saw the wince the new familiarity this boy would know have with this widely favorite drink, he brought the bottle back over and took a seat in a chair nearby the couch. Pouring himself more he place the bottle back down, the clink of the glass lost in the noise from the fireplaces. You're probably just mistaking this 'bad' occurrence for something fun. It could happen, it was all up to perception and what exactly your definition of bad and fun would be. That was limited to the person, of course. I assure you there is nothing bad about going to a simple little dance, all you have to do is blend in. Bringing the dance back up, another sip of his glass, Jack was drinking but he wasn't about ready to get a nice buzz yet until he was at the ball himself where the rest of the party-goers were and those he didn't have to coerce or get drunk to get out to the party. To be honest Jack probably would not have befriended the boy in front of him had it not been for Prefect duties, not that he had anything against him or anything.
Really it was just whomever you happened to come across and seeing as the wasn't exactly the social butterfly of the crowd it would not have dawned upon him to talk to him twice. There was something about his attitude he didn't understand, how he walked around like a cloud followed him when he really needed to relax once a while to not let these things get to him as they appeared to. Jack drank more and bringing his glass back down from his lips he shot Albus a look. Really? He wanted to go there? Then again, most people did and most day she didn't let it get to him and some days it did because he was so tired of explaining himself. Last I checked I was single, unless you're speaking about my fan club. Of course, Annabelle his best friend. They weren't dating of course and they'd been friends so long it just wasn't bound to happen and he didn't want to even mention it and stick silly ideas around and cause that unnecessary drama when she was his friend and that's it. So what's got you so against this ball? No Valentine this year? It was understandable if he hadn't a date or someone to be close to him, even a close friend counted. It wasn't a huge deal, and the female crowd always made it worse than it was when one didn't have a date to the dance. That's what best friends were for, just as if Anna didn't have a date he would accompany her, almost much to the chagrin of her brother.
Before he forgot he lifted the bottle up and pointed it toward Albus' glass, can't have an empty glass after all and his was nearing that point already.

- - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - -The Valentine's Day dance had finally come and Frankie was still at a loss of whether he wanted to go or not. He was supposed to be meeting Albus in the student lounge for some drinking, but there was a part of him that was afraid to do so. After what had happened in the Astronomy tower that night, Frankie wasn’t sure that being around his best friend drunk was a good idea. Drunken words were sober thoughts, this Frankie knew well, and he was afraid of saying something he shouldn’t, or admitting something he shouldn’t, to his best friend that could possibly end their friendship, or at least put a strain on it. That night had had its own interesting twist when Albus had kissed him, and things have been somewhat tense since. Frankie hasn’t stopped hanging out with Albus because of it, but it has made him a lot tenser around his best friend than he usually was.
Dressed in a pair of jeans and a t-shirt and a nice jacket, Frankie made his way down from the Ravenclaw common room to the fourth floor where the student lounge was. He wasn’t even sure that Albus would be there yet, or even at all, but that’s where he said he’d be so that was where he was going to check first. If he wasn’t there when he got there, then he would head down to the dance and check there. Albus said he wasn’t going to go, but he could have always changed his mind. Anything was possible, and that night in the Astronomy Tower was a perfect example of that. And then, if he wasn’t in either of those places, he’d head down to the dungeons and check in the Slytherin common room. He’d have to get someone to check for him, since he wouldn’t be able to get in there himself, but he was sure someone would do it for him.
Frankie finally arrived on the fourth floor and he made his way to where the door to the student lounge was. as he neared it, he heard two different voices coming from within and Frankie strained his ears to hear who they belonged to. one he recognized as Albus’, which only made Frankie’s heart skip a beat and the feel of butterflies in his stomach as he listened for the second voice. He heard the second one come, when the voice asked Albus if he had no valentine that year, and Frankie recognized that one to belong to the Head Boy Jackson Pucey. Unsure of whether he wanted to hear Albus’ answer about having a valentine, Frankie took that opportunity to enter the room. He noticed the alcohol and he looked at Albus with a frown. “You started without me?” he asked as he closed the door behind him. “Thanks a lot,” he said as he wandered further into the room.
Frankie then wondered if he had interrupted them and some sort of private conversation. He had only heard a few words before entering the room, so there could have been more to it all before he came in. “Hey, Jack,” he said as his eyes then slid over to the other boy, not wanting to seem rude by ignoring the older Slytherin in the room. “I hope I’m not interrupting anything,” he said before turning to look back at Albus, “but Albus told me to meet him here for some drinks since neither of us were going to the dance,” he said as he then looked back at Jack. “Have you got anymore?” he asked as he spied the bottle of Firewhiskey in the older boy’s hand. “If not, I can go get some of my own,” he said, now feeling like an ass for interrupting and asking for some alcohol that wasn’t his place to ask about in the first place. He rocked on his heels and thought about leaving. - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - -so i hope this was okay; let me know if i need to change anything

An adventure book? Albus sipped his drink narrowing his eyes. "No an epic romance novel." He corrected with a roll of his eyes. Albus loved the slight sarcasm of the whole situation. Albus loved to read, he could throw himself into a book and not return for anything but reflection on the content. It was something he was good at and didn't take must risk. Yet Albus was not too sure he was opposed to taking risks anymore. Perhaps a little fun wouldn't harm him in the slightest bit. A desire amongst many other things for the night's contents. Albus listened on as Jack spoke of the dance as being little and he chewed the inside of his cheek for a moment. "I never said there was anything wrong with attending, I just didn't think my presence was mandatory." Albus admitted, of course that wasn't his only reason for not attending but he would just leave that as the initial reason.
"As for blending in I'm pretty sure half my family wouldn't allow that. I couldn't just be off drinking spiked punch in the corner, I'd be forced to socialize and dance. It's silly really but I know how this type of thing goes." Albus admitted. Lucy alone wouldn't allow him to be off in some corner being quite, then add Lily and Rose into the whole bit and Albus would just be an uncomfortable, awkward mess. It had happened in the past even if he shouldn't think of reliving it. Albus was normally impulsive but tonight he had other plans. The boy finished his drink allowing Jack to pour him another glass. At his denying Anna as his girlfriend Albus smirked. "Well your array of fan girls doesn't understand you quite like she does, I think you guys would make a brilliant couple." Albus admitted shrugging. The boy sipped his drink leaning back starting to loosen up. When Jack asked him why he was against the ball and was it due to his lack of Valentine he quirked an eyebrow. "How do you know I don't have a secret Valentine coming to join me in this very room?" Albus asked. In the weird occurrence he looked up hearing footsteps seeing his best mate Frankie had come to join them. "Now that was share coincidence." Albus stated blunt looking away for a moment. The boy had left his previous meeting with Frankie in odd unresolved standings.
When Frankie questioned him starting without him he shook his head. "I didn't think you'd be here so early." Albus admitted standing up walking over to a small desk in the room. Albus pulled out his wand pointing it to the lock. "Alohomora" He said hearing the locked door open. Albus reached in pulling out a bottle of fire whiskey and a bottle of wine. He looked over his shoulder watching Frankie inch his way into the lounge. "As promised." Albus said walking over placing the bottles on the table. Albus picked up a glass filling it handing it to Frankie. "Your behind best to start now." Albus mused taking his glass and sipping it. At this point he was sure all three boys would have enough to catch a nice buzz. If not be obliviated drunk. Albus got comfortable in his seat and finished his second glass scrunching his nose a bit. The boy topped off all three glasses and looked between his mates.
Albus listened to Frankie's words to Jack and he raised his eyebrow. "No your not intruding your invited, just relax." Albus stated taking Frankie's hand pulling him to have a seat beside him. His blue eyes gazed into the fireplace for a moment letting the alcohol set in. On this occasion it was alright to drink and with Frankie there by his side as well as Jack he knew it was alright to splurge a bit. "As for a Valentine I don't need one, I have great friends." Albus stated proud he was starting to feel nice and he shifted in his seat sipping his liquor. "Let's play a game shall we?" Albus suggested thinking of his half blood nature. Of course, he had watched his older brother play drinking games with girls his whole life on home breaks. "Never have I never is the name of the game. So every time someone starts the game they will say something they have never done, and if you have done it you need to take a drink. Simple drinking game and a friendly bonding experience in it's self." Albus stated the rules, he was sure once he started the boys would watch on. "Alright let's have it, Never have I ever kissed someone in a public setting with others around." Albus started, it was true he hadn't ever done that and it was just something to get the game started.

Jack gave him a look, romance novel? Albus Potter the romantic? Jack drank some more, and held his glass in his had over the armrest of his chair. I never would have guessed. Not that there was anything wrong with that, just merely an assumption made by Jack about Albus. Funny how different thing were at times and what was really true and what wasn't after all. Still there was more to life than vicariously living them through books, whether they be fantasy or romance novels you had to live these for yourselves and create your own stories and memories. It was part of a thinking Jack had created and it had left him with somewhat a fear of the what-ifs and a fear of moving forward sometimes, but he pushed himself or drank to calm the nerves. Well i'm making it mandatory, you are a Prefect after all we have to make sure everybody stays in line. Of course there really was no such duty like that tonight, although they were inclined to behave just a little bit better than everybody else. Jack could use his standing as the Head Boy to push some influence around and direction. Encourage him to attend because, well, now he had to. And it was not a forgotten fact that Albus seemed to be related to half the school or at least any extension of the Weasley family through his mother. Jack could only imagine how his family reunions would have went and how interesting they would be as he himself was the product of two only children.
Albus had a valid point, being the quiet child in a family that was hardly known for blending in at all. Whether it was the fiery red hair inherited by the Weasleys or just the name there was no way he would not stand out. However, he was not ready to concede this battle yet and maybe he just needed another drink or they both did. His smirk brought a slight glare to him from Jack's expression. People would never leave that alone would they? The point was made, though, she did understand him and she was allowed into the very deepest parts of him behind those walls that nobody ever passed or broke down. Whatever.... He mumbled, wondering if she was even ready for the ball itself. They had agreed to meet there versus the Common Room so she didn't have to wait for him and could go have fun without him until he arrived. That is, unless she had gotten a date without telling him and then he would be left going solo. Now there was a thought that bothered him slightly and he didn't want to admit it either. More reason to drink. Jack could have laughed as the newest member to their party arrived, the timing had only been impeccable and spot on and quite strange all at the same time. Jack gave Albus a look, he wasn't one to judge at all and what choices people made where up to them and how they lived their lives. However, he didn't say anything as he didn't want to really touch the subject and just move one. Frankie was only known to Jack by their Quidditch affiliations and rivalry and that he was a Keeper while Jack was a Chaser so they had met on the field before. No hard feelings anymore there, life was too short.
Frankie. Jack acknowledged him tipping his glass slightly while draining it's contents and refilling from his own bottle that sat on the floor next to his chair. Plenty to go around. With a smile and he watched as Albus walked over to retreive his own personal stash of alcohol, And here you've been holding out on me? No big deal, the more the merrier of course. Jack refilled his own glass and placed the bottle back down, at this rate he might as well drink straight from the bottle as his tolerance could handle it and he was rather composed when he was drunk until he spoke of course or you challenged him in a way. Frankie sat down next to Albus on the couch and he leaned forward with his elbows resting on his knees and cradling the glass in his hand in front of him. Jack listened to this game and it sounded familiar as he had played a variation with some other Slytherin's at some point. They weren't all pure-blood so some muggle drinking games were smuggled in there now and then. "Never have I ever kissed someone in a public setting with others around." Well, that was fast. Jack innocently took a sip of his whiskey and only smiled slightly. Girlfriends had occured a few times in the past seven years for him and especially when the trips into town began public displays of affection were not uncommon but limited to at least that. Alright, my turn....Never have I ever skipped a student social event. Just to be obvious and make sure Albus drank at least. Jack always attended these things whether Anna or another best friend dragged him to it. Alright, he had the hang of it now. Next.

- - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - -Frankie raised his eyebrows at Albus when he told him that he didn’t think he’d have gotten there so early to meet him, like they had previously discussed. “Why’d you think that? Were you planning to be plastered already by the time I got here then?” Frankie asked, feeling a hint of jealousy rise within him. From what he knew about Jack, the guy was a straight arrow, but he also knew Albus when he was drunk and the Ravenclaw could only imagine what would have happened between the two if he hadn’t shown up when he did. He watched Albus stand up from his seated position and head over to a small desk in the room and pull out his wand. He smirked when Albus pulled out a bottle of Firewhiskey and a bottle of wine, though more so at what Jack said as they both watched Albus return to the table and place the bottles on top of it. “Are you really surprised though, Jack? He’s a sneaky one, this one is,” he said jokingly before taking the glass Albus had poured for him. “thanks mate,” he said before sipping from the glass.
Albus assured him that he wasn’t intruding and took his hand and pulled him down onto the couch beside him. there was a bit of tension within Frankie as he sat beside his best friend, but he did his best not to show it, especially in front of Jack. Frankie smiled as he sipped from his glass when Albus said that he didn’t need a valentine because he had great friends. Frankie could appreciate that sentiment, as he felt the same way, but he wasn’t going to jump into that topic of conversation, especially when the person he’d like to have for his valentine was sitting right beside him. Albus suggested a drinking game and Frankie looked at him with raised eyebrows when said that the game would be ‘never have I ever’ and Frankie felt himself start to get a little uncomfortable. This could only end so well and Frankie was afraid that the wrong thing would be said and he would be forced to drink. A lot of truths could be told during this game and Frankie wasn’t sure if he was ready to divulge such intimate details of his life to the two men in the room with him. “All right,” he said before finishing his drink.
Frankie had only just leaned over to refill his glass when Albus said the first never have I ever. Frankie had kissed someone in a public setting, though it wasn’t in one of those make out ways. After he refilled his glass, he brought it to his lips as Jack did and Frankie smirked at the older Slytherin as they both lowered their glasses. Jack then went, saying that he’s never skipped a student social event and Frankie had to drink to that. “Not all of them though,” he said before the glass touched his lips. Now it was his turn, and he had no idea what to pick. “My turn then, yeah?” he said before taking another sip from the glass he held in his hand. “All right. Never have I ever… had a secret relationship with someone,” he said. He’s never done it in secret, though he’s had secret feelings for someone in the room, which was not the same thing and he hoped that one of the two didn’t bring that up later. Frankie knew he’d have to drink, and then that Albus would get curious and ask him all about it. - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - -

Albus Potter the romantic? A smirk crossed his lips as he leaned back sipping his drink. Although others had many dull judgments of him, there was always more then what seemed to Albus. He loved the thought of being 'in love' There was only one time he ever thought he knew what it felt like, but he decided against it now a days. "You don't need to guess, there is more then mare judgment, perhaps someday you will see." Albus replied to Jack. Jack enjoyed trying to break him from his antisocial streak or so it seemed. Therefore if observed a bit more, things would become clear. Albus himself was a man of logic he was shy but he always dig more into what he really wanted to know. Weather it be feelings or whatever the circumstances were. Logic would prove a better assumption. When Jack said he would need to attend the events due to his prefect standings he crossed his arms over his chest. As if what Albus Potter was going through in life already wasn't enough, he was forced to do something else of no desire. "Your cruel Jack." Albus muttered ruffling his mess of hair, out of lost of words to say. Albus was sure Jack couldn't tell him what to do outside of going to and from school. The Hogwarts express was the place he could be commanded not to do something he was uncomfortable with. School events had nothing to do with prefects and he never knew a couple that didn't attend due to their own desire to study. Albus was not stupid by far but he'd keep his mouth shut to avoid conflict with his friend.
Did he plan to get plastered before Frankie got to the room? "Oh yeah, so I could take advantage of you and get rejected twice." Albus mused with a wink, of course he was being sarcastic. Jack wouldn't have a clue what he was talking about but he was sure Frankie could put the pieces together. Albus said nothing more on the subject and listened to Jack speak of holding out on him. After returning with the bottles he looked at Jack and smiled shaking his head. Then Frankie's comment caused him to quirk an eyebrow. "Never that, I told you I had plans." Albus explained, he didn't mind sharing and enjoying his company. Sneaky? "That's how you feel, do you?" Albus asked wondering when he was sneaky in the past. Albus was know to be swift and cleaver but never sneaky. Frankie must have had his own reasoning for this one.
As the game went on he listened to Jack say he never had skipped a social event and he brought the glass to his lips and took a large sip. "I have skipped many." Albus admitted looking over whole Frankie had his turn. A secret relationship, Albus looked down for a moment. It was sad the only relationship he had ever been in he was a secret. Albus chewed the inside of his cheek taking the sip to keep the game rolling. The boy hiccuped smiling at the room as things started to feel lighter. When drinking he wondered how the gravity was turned to a minimum. It was times like these he missed being with his ex and he missed being loved and held. Albus leaned forwarding filling all three boys glasses before getting comfortable in his seat again. That time it took him effort to concentrate on pouring but his mind was elsewhere. Albus leaned over and rested his head on Jack's shoulder looking up at him. "Jack you should cuddle with me, come now, you know you want to." Albus mused looking at the boys dimple as he reach up poking it. Albus wasn't sure where his mind state was he just wanted to be affectionate even if it ended badly. Most people knew Al, and if there was anything he could handed it was rejection therefore he hoped his attempt to cuddle would result in violence or hostility. Albus out his arm around the boy and smiled. "Never have I ever been in love." Albus stated looking around the spinning room.

Jack had to agree, the quiet ones were always the sneak ones and the ones that nobody expected to do things. It was like the outgoing people just put everything out there and the quiet ones just didn't showcase anything which made it more of a shock then. The fact that Albus had planned some secret drinking party was making him the poster boy for this much to his own surprise. The two boys drank to his own statement in the game. Social events were merely just something to do here at the school though Jack had made a habit of attending especially in his fifth year as Prefect and trying to set a good example. To his professors and head of house he was a model student. Member of the Quidditch team, exceptional grades and easy to get along with and not causing up trouble around every corner. However, the students knew he was a guy who liked to chill and have fun and the girls appeared of course. Lately any social events he would attend solo or with Anna if she hadn't gotten a date and they would go as friends. To be honest, he hadn't attended anything with a date per say after Chloe and he really just hadn't mustered the will power to ask anyone after that. The whole Eva thing just sank him further into that hole he couldn't get out of where he even wanted to try that again and just the thought of girl drama and his heart being ripped out made him want to drink the bottle itself and then the one Albus had provided. He smirked, he was cruel out of caring and wanting his friend here to enjoy his life and live a little bit before deciding that he wanted to hide under a rock instead. Despite the things going on his life he needed some fun.
The other boys interchanged jokes and Jack merely drank from his glass, the slight buzz he was seeking had not yet set in and he figured that he would wait for those effects until the dance. Anna would make fun of him and joke with him, he was a fun drunk and friendlier at that if possible. This little tidbit always ended up with him in trouble. Albus and Frankie both drank at his turn, and he figured that at least Albus would though Frankie was not the recluse that Albus made himself out to be. The boy was easy to get along with when he let people. Next was Frankie's turn and he saw Potter pause and then finally take a sip, Jack himself paused and thought of Eva. The last girl to hurt im though not as bad as the last. He drank from his glass and to avoid questions he diverted any attention from himself. Secret relationship, Potter? There was a sense of genuine shock, he was always so quiet. But, you know what they say about the quiet ones. Please do tell. Hopefully the alcohol gave him loose lips, this would prove certainly entertaining for him. Was he currently in a relationship or was there a story in the past somewhere that had never been heard by those around him or at least it had not traveled to Jack's own ears. In his realm he heard a lot of things about students that he had never wanted to hear or hadn't even asked, or if he had asked he would usually find someone that knew something.
Before Albus answered his question he stopped as the boy seemed to move closer to him, physically. His glass had just been filled as he had just emptied it on the last statement and he narrowly avoided spilling it everywhere with this sudden move. Jack looked down, his blue eyes meeting Albus' blue eyes and then he looked away. Boy, this was awkward. It wasn't something that made him jumpy or that made him react negatively except in the fact that he was straight and didn't cuddle with boys. Whatever this one decided to do on his own time was his own business and Jack just didn't want to know. Um. Oh, you know I like a good cuddle however with a girl. You hardly meet the criteria Albus. Jack wasn't one to be rude with his friends, and he wasn't sure what type of drunk this boy was and didn't need him sobbing all over him or getting upset in anyway. No harm done here and he let it slide as he gently moved an inch away from Albus and playfully removing his arm from around his own shoulders, listening to the next statement as it was his turn after all. Love? Well that wasn't fair, he felt a slight sinking feeling in his chest and his mind ran back to Chloe. The only girl to ever reach him that way and connect with him. What that relationship was he had no label for and he really didn't want to bother labeling it either, but he had felt love and would always for her. He drank from his glass heartily, thus far they seem to want to get him drunk as well. It would take a lot more than that. Never have I ever....
He struggled to think of something, what hadn't he done? This made him sound bad in a way but he didn't want to be too generic. Never have I ever done every single homework assignment Let's get Potter wasted while they were here. lyrics: Drinking from the Bottle - Calvin Harris words: 925 notes: [/blockquote][/sup]

- - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - -If he felt uncomfortable before, it was nothing compared to how he felt now. Albus’ words rang through his mind as he stared at his friend for a few moments. He was more than sure his lips had parted as he looked at his best friend and next door neighbor, but he couldn’t bring himself to speak just yet. Had he really felt rejected by Frankie from that other night in the Astronomy Tower? That had never been his intention, or anywhere close to it, but he just couldn’t bring himself to admit such things, at least not yet. Frankie would never be able to forgive himself for ruining the best friendship he’s ever had. However, the residual feelings from the kiss they shared that night had not yet left the Ravenclaw’s mind.
It seemed that joking around and seeming to be serious was the theme for the evening, since Frankie had then made a comment to Jack about how Albus was sneaky, in relation to the bottles of liquor Albus had stashed away in the desk in the far corner, when Jack was sharing his own. “I was only joking,” he said with a slight roll of his eyes and a shake of his head. In a way, he did think Albus was sneaky, but not necessarily in a bad way. If anything, that night in the Astronomy Tower could give Frankie something to work with in regards to Albus being sneaky. It was he that stole a kiss from Frankie, their first ever shared, and had caused so much nervousness and uncertainty to cross Frankie’s mind. He might not have meant it, but he still did it.
Frankie sipped his drink after Jack had gone, his choice being that he’s never skipped a school function. Then Frankie had gone, saying he’s never had a secret relationship, to which both Albus and Jackson drank. Frankie’s eyes raised at them both, and he felt the words forming on his tongue as he thought to ask. Jack beat him too it though, or at least he did to Albus, and Frankie turned to look at his friend with a playful grin. “Yes, do tell indeed,” he said before sipping his drink outside of the game. “Or, do I already know this one?” he asked, wondering if it was Ben. Frankie wasn’t going to say his name outright, just in case that was meant to remain a secret, and then he turned to Jack. “And you too? Now I’m really curious. Anyone we know?” he asked with a playful grin.
Frankie stiffened when Albus then told Jack to cuddle with him as he rested his head on Jack’s shoulder. Frankie did his best not to let it show that it bothered him what Albus was doing, especially when Jack moved away slightly and told Albus that he was all for cuddling, as long as it was with a girl. a silent victory for Frankie went off in his mind, though the Ravenclaw knew that it wouldn’t stop the buzzed Slytherin from continuing on with his frisky actions. As much as he knew better than to say it aloud, Frankie would happily cuddle with Albus. not even in that way; they’ve cuddled many times in their days already, so it wouldn’t be anything new, except for maybe the fire that burned within Frankie as he stared at his friend.
Albus then took his turn in the game and said that he’s never been in love before. Frankie felt his stomach flitting about with the number of butterflies flying about within. He didn’t drink though, but only because, at the current moment, he wasn’t sure that he ever has been in love with anyone. Sure, he knew he had a major crush on Albus, one that he’s managed to somehow keep secret for a few years now, but he didn’t know if it was love and he knew better than to drink and raise such questions. He noticed that Jack drank though, which only flared Frankie’s curiosity more. He wouldn’t ask though, as he was sure he wouldn’t be told, nor did it really matter to the Ravenclaw. Jack then went next and said that he’s never done every homework assignment ever given to him.
Frankie snorted and then took a sip of his own drink. “The Head Boy hasn’t done all his homework? Shocking,” he said after he rested his now empty glass down on the table before him. “They weren’t all to full satisfaction, but I’ve done all mine,” he said, knowing Albus would drink as well. Frankie then reached over and picked up one of the bottles and began to refill his glass, noticing that Jack’s was empty as well. Frankie leaned over and refilled his glass as well, and then even topped off Albus’ too, though he wasn’t sure how much more he should let his friend drink. “Okay, my turn now, eh?” Frankie asked as he thought about something he’s never done. “Never have I ever… had a crush on a professor,” he said, not sure if any of them would drink to this. It would be interesting to see if one of them id though. - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - -

Albus held his glass loosely awaiting his mate to explain the significance of being sneaky. The boy wasn't sure if he wanted Frankie to answer that question out loud. It may have made things awkward if it were what he was thinking. Al quirked an eyebrow as Frankie went with he was only joking. If Albus had known Frankie as well as he thought he did, he'd correct him and pry the real answer out of him. There was no way he was only joking but putting two and two together he settled upon his first thought. "Sure." Albus replied with a hesitant smile. Did these boys really want to know about his secret relationship? Albus chewed the inside of his cheek in a moment of recollection before speaking. Al was sure Frankie knew the answer to this question because he always ran to him when things got confusing, or just screwed up in that department of his life. Al managed to hiccup and looked over to Jack seeing he had drank as well. "Well I'll tell about my secret if you tell about yours, so lets see here."
Albus looked down into his glass and fidgeting with it a bit. Where to begin with the story of he and Ben, the answer was beyond him. "Well it started out with a milk shake." Albus muttered, it was true if Ben never bought him that damn shake he would have never been all flirty. There was alcohol involved but he didn't want to admit to that. It would make things seem unofficial. Screw it, it was a bunch of drunk shit. "I was drunk see, and sometimes I am not aware of how promiscuous I can be. I guess it was one of those nights were I wanted to feel something but I sure knew how to pick this one. My brother's best friend." Albus admitted shrugging to himself. James would get over it, also he never found out so what he didn't know wouldn't get him furious with his little brother. "I think I walked away like five times before I got that first kiss, and it wasn't right because as I reacted he walked away." Albus said flustered with his own thoughts. The boy stood up and placed his glass down on the table pacing a bit. "I wasn't ready to take the next steps in that relationship...I always felt pressured and hurt, and he was a selfish prick..but he was my selfish prick." Albus whispered now hurt in his own words he was unsure what to do. How to defuse the fire he had ignited? Albus sucked his teeth and looked over at his friends sitting there. All of a sudden he felt small in the world. The boy took his seat again and sipped his drink, he needed that sip to calm his racy thoughts.
Now he looked over to Jack awaiting the boy to spill his secret. Albus allowed himself to calm down before he tried to commence in cuddling, only problem was Jack denied him. Jack was straight as an arrow and he knew this therefore the reaction didn't shock him too much. Yet it was always fun to accept a challenge or test ones limits. "Is that so? Well I'll have you know anything a girl can do Albus Potter can do better. There isn't a problem I can't fix." Albus mused placing his hand on Jack's thigh. Albus bit his bottom lip, in what he considered to be a sexy. Albus pouted a bit looking into the boys eyes. "Your no fun Jack." Albus whispered removing his hand from the boys thigh with a lite squeeze. Al got back in his seat having to contain himself. When Frankie spoke his attention was redirected. Do he dare try to cuddle after the night in the Astronomy tower? He was hesitant on this one but he listed off his professors in his mind. None of which he had ever had a crush on but he thought a couple of his professors were good looking. Albus wasn't sure about that one so he didn't drink. "Never have I ever had detention." Albus rambled looking between his mates. Of course Albus was snappy with his professors when he thought it was necessary but he had never got in trouble in those senses. Albus leaned to his side and rested his head on Frankie's shoulder looking up at his mate. At this point he was calm from his moody swing earlier and wanting affection. Albus was all over the place tonight, he couldn't imagine what would happen if the boys cracked another bottle.

Jack was aware that the two boys were friends, besides the fact that he had been previously invited here to drink and such. However, the nature of their friendship if they were best friends or what was beyond him and he didn't care to ask. If there was one thing that Jack valued, it was his privacy and he would respect theirs accordingly. There was a question on Albus' secret relationship and for the moment it took the attention away from himself and his own secret relationship that they were attempting to get him to fess up to and admit. There would be no such confession from his own lips, at least none of names and details. He didn't say anything and waiting for Potter's response and see if they even remembered asking him in the first place. Still, he would be reminded as Albus agreed to tell his secret as long as Jack told his. However, without stipulations of details or proof he didn't need to go into much detail and nearly not as much as Albus did. While he listened about a boy and how it all started, clearly it was not a happy memory for him and even without details something that had affected the boy. Was this why he avoided the social events? Was he afraid of getting hurt just as he had gotten hurt himself a few times. That was life, you got hurt and you moved on. Fear was an excellent motivator and some people just took that energy and used it in their own ways.
Suddenly his story ended and two sets of eyes were staring at him. Oh, they hadn't forgotten after all. Sipping his glass once more he placed it down and organized what thoughts were presently in his mind. Well, there was this girl and we were seeing each other for sometime, just a casual thing really but you know how these things turn out. It was something still sort of a sore spot with him and the fact that they had been secretive about it left it bottled up inside more than ever and not of public knowledge to deal with. It was easier not having every gossip back and forth and belong in our business, each side had it's negatives after all. I started falling for her and she didn't feel the same, so that was the end of that. If the obvious hurt he was physically expressing by this was obvious they they could deduce that it had been something recent. The chronicles of Jackson and Chloe were public knowledge though anything recent as far as relationships with him were not public knowledge as of yet and he didn't want them to be. Secret relationships had a tendency to cause more hurt and pain than they were worth. You're full of surprised aren't you Albus? With that Jack mean that he would have never guessed these little details about him and pieces of his history and not to judge him, but it made him less of a mystery in his eyes.
Albus tried again to cuddle and invade his personal space on a level he was becoming slightly uncomfortable with. The boy seemed to accept it as a challenge and before Jack could respond he felt a hand on his thigh before he back up again. He would have been lying if he said he'd never been flirted with by a male, but this was the last person he had expected it from. Looking down, he didn't really say anything and just drank because he really didn't know what to say to that. Luckily, Frankie spoke and he hoped this whole scene didn't look as weird as it felt and noticed that he had drank. Well, as a Ravenclaw he would have expected nothing less than perfect assignments so he wasn't surprised. Sometimes i've got better things to do. Or people, just depended on what the agenda held for that particular time. Jack nodded to Frankie when he refilled his glass, he felt relaxed but his mind preoccupied at having to think so heavily about her again, and he wasn't drunk yet so he couldn't just shut it off. The next question or statement was said and he thought for a moment. Crush on a professor? Hardly, most of the younger ones were male and the female ones particularly older, though not bad looking. Nothing to warrant a crush though and he didn't drink to that. Detention on the other hand, Jack drank to that. It was a Slytherin thing whether you were destined to become a Prefect or Head Boy or something like that, it happened at least once in your academic career here, except for Albus clearly. Now it was his turn. Never have I ever done something embarrassing for someone I liked. Despite having been in love and all that he'd never had to go to that extent.
Sipping absent-mindedly from his he glanced at the clock in the lounge and wondered if he should be getting to the dance soon, or at least dragging these two to socialize among their peers. So I take it the dance is still out of the question, Potter?

- - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - -By his reply of ‘sure’, Frankie was sure that Albus didn’t believe him when he said that Al was a sneaky one. The Ravenclaw wasn’t going to keep that conversation going though, not in that respect anyway, because he knew it would just be him opening a can of worms and he wasn’t sure he was ready to open or deal with just yet. There was so much that went with that, including the possibility of losing his best friend; Frankie didn’t want to risk that, even though he was risking his own feelings and sanity by keeping mum about it. To say he was glad when the conversation shifted to back to the game and the next never have I ever about having a secret relationship, even though he wasn’t too sure he wanted to hear about this either.
He sat there and listened to Albus talk of his secret relationship, and Frankie didn’t need to ask who the guy was since he was already more than aware of it. He didn’t say it out loud, even though Albus did admit that the boy had been his own brother’s best friend, which only limited the identity of the guy to a few. Frankie reached over and patted his friend on the back when he spoke of how ben had been a selfish prick and hurt him. It bothered Frankie to even remember it all when it had first happened, and how badly he wanted to just pick ben up on his broom and drop him from about thirty feet from the ground. He breathed evenly as Jack then went on to talk about his own secret relationship, though he didn’t reveal her name either. “Tough break, mate,” was all he said.
Frankie choked back a snicker when Albus told Jack that he could do anything a girl could do better, and that there wasn’t a problem he couldn’t fix. Sweet Merlin, can he get anymore pretentious, he thought to himself as he glanced at Albus. He silently cheered when Jack turned away from Albus’ advances and then put on a straight face soon after when he saw Albus look at him for a moment before he then took his turn in the game. Albus said he’s never had a detention and Frankie knew that to be true. For himself, however, he had to drink because he’s had one before, though not many like some in the castle have. “Quidditch rivalries are never dull,” was all Frankie said after he lowered the glass from his lips. Neither boy said anything else about it, so Frankie then listened for Jack to take his turn.
Frankie thought about the words Jack had just said when he took his turn. Had he ever done something embarrassing for someone that he liked? He glanced at Albus to see if he was thinking about his own embarrassments pertaining to a crush, and then he realized that he’s never done anything openly embarrassing for any person that he’s liked, especially Albus. “As much as I’d like to say I have, I haven’t,” Frankie said with a grin as he glanced at Albus to see if he’d drink. And now, while Albus either drank or not for Jack’s never have I ever, Frankie began to contemplate his next turn. Before he could say anything though, Jack spoke up once more and mentioned the dance. “I’d go, but I don’t think this one will end up making it,” he said as he looked at Albus. “He will probably face plant and break his nose before he gets down there,” he joked. - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - -

Secret relationships were not something he was fond of after his own experiences. For some reason he took his cousin's advice when she explained if someone loved you, you shouldn't have to be a secret. Not to mention the person should be proud to date you. Albus felt Frankie's hand on his back and he smiled a bit to himself. Frankie was there every step of the way, even while he was in his healing stages. A different kind of love, or was it? Albus glanced over to Jack as he spoke and he chewed the inside of his cheek. Albus didn't really know jack until fifth year when he became a prefect. The boy was much different then him, and he was sure if he hadn't been graced with the prefect title, they may have not been friends. Albus was glad they were however and he thought for a moment of who the mystery girl could be. Albus knew Chloe from his own tome town, the girl was best friends with his brother and he knew she felt for Jack. Therefore that scratched that guess out. Albus wasn't in the mood to pry but he was feeling wise. "Well then she didn't deserve you mate, your pretty amazing and if she didn't see it then her loss." Albus muttered looking over to Jack. "But what do I know about girls? Just some friendly impute." He added not wanting to speak more on the topic of him and his mates being emotionally hurt, in anyway.
A smirk crossed his lips with Jack said he was full of surprises and he nodded. "Well in that case I'm always interesting to be around ey?" Albus stated with a little pride. If there was always something new to learn or speak of he couldn't imagine situations being dull. The two boys had clearly had detention before and he was proud not to have been in that circumstance. When he first arrived to Hogwarts his professors were awaiting him to be a trouble maker like his brother and cousins. It was his job to prove them all wrong. Which was something he enjoyed doing apparently. Albus thought for a moment when Jack took his turn and he sipped his drink. "I'm always doing something embarrassing for the people I like. Even if I do not try to, it happens." Albus explained shrugging thinking of his own display of flirting with Jack. Oh Merlin, was that why the boy asked? Well he liked Jack but not in that way, unless he was drunk, then he liked anything that was male and willing to challenge him of give him affection. Blast this side of me.
When Jack mentioned the dance he chuckled to himself, then Frankie clearly had the answer for him. Albus looked over at the boy and let his jaw hang a bit. "Oh is that a challenge, or do you just want me for yourself up here alone?" Albus mused his tone a little seductive as he leaned against Frankie more. "I think I'll sit this one out mate, I can't even walk let alone dance." Albus added taking his finger and putting it over Frankie's lips to prevent any further talk from the boy. If Al knew Frankie he knew he'd comment in his normal 'I told you so' standards. Albus crawled over in Frankie's lap, where he found to be his own little spot when he wanted it. What to say, because he really needed to speak to Frankie about the other night and clear things up, despite how intoxicated he was at the moment.
Albus looked over to Jack whom was checking the clock. "You enjoy yourself, and thank you for tonight. I think you should take the rest of that bottle plus the fresh one and find yourself some fun." Albus explained giving Jack the okay to take both the bottles of fire whiskey, however he leaned forward and took the bottle of wine he planed to have with Frankie the other night. "Before we depart one another, one more turn." Albus stated as he shifted getting comfortable in the boys lap looking into his brown eyes. "Never have I ever kept an important secret or crush from my best friend." Albus said not letting his eyes unlock with Frankie's at this point. Even if he didn't like the answer of his mate he'd need to know. Albus was sure after drinking, he should loosen up a bit. After getting reactions he smiled and looked over to Jack. "Now I have a wine date with my Valentine here, and I need to take advantage of him. Cheers mate." Albus said bringing his finger tips to the vein in Frankie's neck. This was going to be a long night, the middle Potter could tell this already.
