It was just something he had gotten used to. The winter season, the dead trees always brought him this depression. He was used to it year after year. He with drawled from being so social but, it wasn't time to feel this way. The weekend was suppose to bring the students joy and freedom. Max looked at the ceiling of the dorm room and had a personal debate about if he wanted to get up. What was the worst that could happen. Being in bed wasn't doing anything for him, and he would never hear the end of it if he wrote another depressive letter home to his parents. Max forced himself out of bed, it was for the best. After getting dressed in his weekend attire and grabbing his bag that had a few supplies in it for what he could possibly do today he walked into the common room. His normal afternoon greetings were taking place and instead of just choosing someone to hang out with he exited the common room. Max would go on with something different today, walk aimlessly into trouble, or friendship or something worth while. This was his impulsive nature taking place and he couldn't wait to see what the day had in store for him. .
After roaming the halls of Hogwarts hiding the fact he was depressed he hit the outside. The fresh fall air filled his lungs and now it was time to roam. Max walked the grounds til he found a nice little spot where the snow was just deep enough, he keeled down and looked around letting his blue eyes skim the perimeter. Max took a handful of snow and blew it into the air watching it mist a slight smile crossed his lips. The students scattered the area and the laughter filled the air. It was sad he could sense happiness yet couldn't feel it. Not to mention the full moon coming up in a few days. His eyes rolled to the back of his head, hiding his double life always would suck to say the least. Yet making the most of it was what he could do. The sound of snow crunching in the distance caught his attention and he looked around. Max ruffled his hair and catching a glimpse of someone in the distance. He wasn't quite sure who it was but he wished for some company. It would be nice to have someone to talk to, screw it. The boy from New York would so it on his own. Max approached the person and offered a smile. "Hey, it's wicked nice out. What brings you out heah?"He mused his accent apparent in his attempt to make conversation.

Snow was the funnest thing ever! Yeah it was that fun that she wasn’t even using proper words to describe it, but then Annie could never really put her vocabulary to good use when it came to what she liked. Snow apparently wasn’t an exception. Without looking back or stopping she’d put on her boots and pulled on her clothes a snug pair of jeans and a stripy woolly jumper before she wrapped herself with her long scarf and cosy overcoat.
Yes, she was definitely ready for the weather now, grabbing a bag of sweets she’d ordered from Honeydukes – a number of liquorice wands to be exact - she skipped out of the doorway and down through the common room ignoring the number of students that sat studying, why were they wasting a Saturday, it was to amazing outside to be cooped up, silly housemates. She kind of pitied them, one day she’d teach them how to have fun, whether they wanted it or not! They deserved it with all the work they put in.
As she stepped outside and the cold air hit her face she good feel her the edges of her cheeks rosining a shade of pale pink from the out lash of the frost. Ah and it was a wonderful feeling, she grinned to herself as she trudged through the deeper parts of the fallen snow leaving heavy footsteps where it hadn’t been disturbed. She turned as a familiar voice called out to her, with big grin she waved. “Oh hey,” she greeted “I don’t know call of the snow?” she shrugged opening the bag of liquorice wands that she’d kept a tight hold on. “Want a wand, I just got them delivered," she said holding out the bag, “they’re super yum!” she promised, she tilted her head to one side. “So how’s Quidditch practise coming?” she asked, “Ravenclaws totally going to kick your arse this season,” she smirked “with our wicked moves.”

When the girl got close enough for him to realize who it was a smirk crept to his lips and he listened to her. "Oh yeah, the call of the snow that's definitely it Annie." Max teased going along with Annie and her quirky answer. Max did admire how the girl was odd and enthusiastic most of the time. It was rather adorable and a personality he didn't mind being around. Max looked at the pack of liquorice and smiled nodding taking one. "Thank Annie, I can always rely on you to have my sugar fix." Max added in gratitude taking a bite of the strawberry flavored stick. The boy chewed for a moment purring in satisfaction, they didn't have amazing candy like this in New York. It was rare for him to travel to the local wizard sweets shops now a days but he'd have to stock up before break. A small pleasure in life was never a bad thing to have.
Max finished off the candy and listened to her speak of quidditch, he narrowed his eyes and listened to her boast. "Oh you wish Donovan, Ravenclaw can't hold a candle to Gryffindor. You guys may have some moves but your too preoccupied with studies to actually practice." Max added his over confident nature kicking in. "When was the last time you guys reserved the pitch for some serious practice? Pfft, Last week?" Max said, his big brother was captain of the Ravenclaw team. Every since Max made the team a couple years back he was competitive. Not just for the team for his own pride against his brother Mattheus. "So tell me about these awesome moves, do they require holding the quaffle and reading a book at the same time?" Max mused he always enjoyed bickering with Annie on this topic.

“No way, we practised all of yesterday evening!” declared Annie “I’ve even got the hand burns to prove it,” said Annie rubbing her sore hands together that had become swollen (yes even through her gloves) from gripping her broom to hard. She held a mock scowl, though keeping it up was most of the problem and it wasn’t long until her grin returned. “Oh poor innocent Krum,” said Annie shaking her head as if Maxwell had told her the worst news in the world. “Your obviously oblivious to the awesomeness of our team, but don’t worry I’ll sign your scarf when we win this season.” She shook her head and waggled her finger at his accusation that had been one time! And it was a really interesting book on the Goblin wars. He was going to pay for that comment! “Ah I can’t tell you that now can I you might steal our tactics.” She grinned “Gryffindor are bound to be after something new.”
She stepped away and within a blink of an eye had compacted a tight ball of snow between her gloved fingers. A dangerous smirk appeared on lips as she launched it at Max. “For Ravenclaw!” she declared, darting back to ground ready to create a number of tiny snow missiles.

Max listened to the girl object to his comment and he smirked a bit. Her protesting state was sort of cute but he wouldn't comment. "Yeah in the evening when no one can watch you embarrass yourselves." Max recovered with a snicker. It was great having Annie around, she always was like that little bit of sunshine peeking through on a cloudy day. Max enjoyed how enthusiastic and hyperactive she could be. A the mention of his last name he crossed his arms over his chest and listening to her brag about the 'win' Ravenclaw was going to have. Max held back a laugh and couldn't help himself as his amused chuckle escaped his lips. "Annie you take your signature and put it beside Gilderoy Lockhart's and you two can fathom who is more crazy if you think that Ravenclaw is winning this season." Max explained laughing a bit more.
For some reason the nerds winning didn't seem possible. Max was too hot headed to think anyone but Gryffindor was doing to win. After this conversation he might just purposely send a bludger her way and crash her little dreams. Max shook his head listening to Annie speak of stealing their tactics. "Well you keep em to yourself Toots, I think we can do without a losing game plan." Max admitted blaring his New York accent. Max looked around for a moment letting the competitive nature between the two die down before he felt a snowball impact against his body. "Oh you wanted a war you got one Donovan!" Max shouted picking up a snowball and chucking it toward her. Max quickly fell to his knees ad started to make a small snow fort. He peeked up check on her activity and when he felt safe he started to mold balls for ammunition.
